C9 Exorcism(part i)
Seeing his family's daily life getting better and better, his original one-story house had been replaced with a three-story house, and he was also ranked as one of the wealthiest people in Maoshan. Furthermore, his only son, Boss Zheng, had married his wife last year, and this year he had a big fat grandson.
The day was getting better and worse, but Zheng was killed a few days ago when he was accompanying tourists up the mountain. Besides, after the corpse was brought home, Sun Xiaoshan had a fever and started talking nonsense, which was then sent to the hospital for examination.
In a fit of anger, Zheng Yuan brought his grandson back from the hospital. He wanted to find a Taoist to exorcise evil spirits. Who knew that the Taoist priest would come here with an outrageous price?
After all, as long as the person was still here, he could still earn money. Zheng Yuan didn't feel bad, but these Daoists really weren't worth the money. He started posting talisman paper everywhere as soon as he entered the house, but it didn't seem to have any effect.
This previous one was even more outrageous. He actually said that his daughter-in-law was the bane of Heaven, and wanted to bring her back. Moreover, he even wanted to pour the grandson's water to drink. Needless to say, he had met a swindler. In a fit of anger, Zheng Yuan used his walking stick to chase the swindler out.
Zheng Yuan let out a sigh and knocked the smoke pot in his hand. He turned around and walked into the house, only to find a young man wearing a blue daoist robe standing in front of the door with a handsome smile on his face.
"What business do you have with this Taoist?"
Zheng Yuan was just about to curse out loud when he suddenly realized that this young man in front of him exuded a completely different aura from that Taoist just now. He quickly changed his tone and addressed him as "Daoist Master".
How could Lin Bai not understand the meaning of the first half of his sentence, but he did not point it out, and said with a smile: "Limitless Sky Sovereign, I am a Daoist from Maoshan. I went down the mountain to travel, and heard old sir say that there is no one from Maoshan, so I came here to ask, and to see if there is anything I can help you with."
The words were watertight, but only Lin Bai himself knew the meaning of this. He had long thought of this place and wanted to come over to see if he could get a sum of money for the journey. Although he was not proficient in matters of the Yin Yang Residence's Feng Shui, but his level of skill was definitely not something that the martial arts students could compare to. With regards to this point, Lin Bai was still confident.
When the crowd saw another young Daoist pop out, they immediately clamored again. There were those who were optimistic, and there were even those who called him a swindler. It was just that with such a large crowd, Lin Bai did not see that Chen Qiling was actually among the crowd. Furthermore, when he saw Lin Bai, his expression shivered, and with a hint of cold smile, he said a few words to Jerry, who was beside him.
Without waiting for Zheng Yuan's reply, Lin Bai swept a glance at Zheng Yuan's face, and then looked towards the inner area of the courtyard.
This courtyard was rather elegantly decorated. On the right side of the courtyard was a pond made of bluestone, and on the other side was a crooked tree. The tree had diagonally pierced through the ground outside of the house, making it look rather strange. The layout of the building was quite exquisite. The windows were all on the floor, and they looked very bright. Logically speaking, this kind of evil thing shouldn't appear.
Lin Bai swept his gaze across the corner of the building, and suddenly felt a cool sensation in his eyes. He then saw a black shadow flash past the eaves of the building, it was not really appropriate to call it a black shadow, it was more accurate to call it a black mist.
This, this. Lin Bai was stunned, he then muttered, what happened to his eyes, how could he actually see such a thing, wasn't the Yin Yang Eyes unique to the Yin and Yang Eyes, what was this?!
"Taoist, what's wrong?" Seeing Lin Bai's stunned expression, Zheng Yuan thought that Lin Bai had seen through his evil and charming appearance, and asked anxiously.
"This Penniless Priest saw the Yin Sha!" Lin Bai muttered to himself for a moment, then pointed at the eaves of the third floor as he spoke to Zheng Yuan who was at the side.
It was noon now, and the place that Lin Bai was pointing at was also the place where the sunlight was shining. It was impossible for Yin Sha such a thing to exist in such a place that was filled with yang energy.
But when Zheng Yuan heard Lin Bai's words, his expression instantly changed. He pulled Lin Bai inside the house, and after locking the door tightly, the old man fell on his knees in front of Lin Bai with a 'putong' sound, as he cried with snot running down his cheeks: "Please save my grandson, please don't let that evil spirit above come take his life again!"
"Fierce Demon?!" Lin Bai could no longer bother with thinking about the matter in front of his eyes, as he stared at Zheng Yuan and said.
His eyes were filled with regret, "When my family was building this building, I hired a team of workers from outside the city to build it. It was in the summer, and my family's shed was outside, so I urged the contractor to get those workers to work overtime to get out early. Who would have known that something would happen?
The human heart! Lin Bai sighed, he knew the weather at the foot of Maoshan's feet, at noon in the summer, even if they did not have 40 degrees, they would at most be at 37 or 38 degrees, and this kind of weather allows workers to do manual labor, how can it be fine?!
"Daoist Priest, I didn't think that such a thing would happen, but that can't be helped. Since his family members are here to ask for money, I've also lost money. He shouldn't have kept pestering me!" Zheng Yuan grabbed onto Lin Bai's sleeve as he cried and said, "Dao leader, you have to save Little Shan. Even if you go bankrupt, as long as Little Shan is safe.
Zheng Yuan knelt down as he spoke. "Little Shan is the only son of our Zheng Family. If Little Shan dies, then I, Old Bones, will follow him down to accompany him!"
Seeing Zheng Yuan's head kowtowing continuously, Lin Bai could not help but laugh bitterly: "Old sir, I did not say that I would not help you. Wait until I've helped your family get rid of this evil charm, then you can thank me."
After he finished speaking, Lin Bai pointed to the place where he had discovered the black shadow, and asked Zheng Yuan: "Did that Little Gong fall at that place?"
"Yes, there it is. Daoist Master, you said that I lost all my money, but why is he still pestering my family? " Zheng Yuan looked towards the direction where Lin Bai's finger was pointing, the place where the little worker fell to his death, and said bitterly.
Lin Bai smiled slightly, and did not say a word. This kind of demonic charm was extremely mysterious. In order to form it, one needed many conditions, how could it only be a matter of making up for the loss of money.
"If I'm not wrong, your son and daughter-in-law should be living on the third floor." Lin Bai asked with a smile.
Now that Lin Bai had mentioned it, he suddenly thought about how his son and daughter-in-law said that the third floor was cooler and insisted on living on the third floor. But now that he thought about it, how could the top floor in the middle of the summer be cooler than the first floor? Thinking of this, it must have been an evil existence, and he felt his scalp tingling.
Seeing the expression on Zheng Yuan's face, Lin Bai knew that what he said was right. He closed his eyes and muttered to himself for a moment before chuckling: "This way, this matter will be a little easier. First, move your wife and little mountain down from the third floor."
Without any hesitation, Zheng Yuan abandoned Lin Bai and ran upstairs. Not long later, the thirty year old middle-aged beautiful woman carried a little boy down the stairs. The child in his arms had a pale green face and a weak aura.
Seeing Lin Bai, the middle-aged beauty was about to kneel on the ground. Lin Bai reached out his hand and quickly held her down, "Don't, I can't stand the two of you repeatedly bowing to me like this. Don't worry, I will do my best in this matter, I will definitely not ruin the reputation of our Maoshan."
"First, carry the child to a sunny place and sit for a while. Let the child experience some yang energy. When you hold the child, caress his back and call him by his name." Glancing at the child in the young wife's arms, Lin Bai said.
No one had mentioned this method of bathing in the sun, but this method was commonly known in the rural areas as' soul '. During this period of time, the young woman had been quite useful, but it had always been ineffective.
Xiu-Er, hurry up! Carry the child out to the sun and scream for the soul! Go!" "When the old man saw that his daughter-in-law's movements were slow, his parental demeanor rose up as he looked at the woman and said harshly.
Seeing the young woman walk out of the courtyard with the child in her arms, Lin Bai glanced at the house and softly said: "Go to the door, tie up two piles of wormwood and light it up. Let Ai Hui smoke into the house, I'll go upstairs to take a look."
"Daoist leader, no, Daoist Immortals, I will go out now to prepare. Please go upstairs to take a look." When Zheng Yuan heard Lin Bai's explanation, he felt that Lin Bai was not ordinary, and the form of address on his mouth immediately rose from Daoist Priest to Immortal.
Lin Bai almost broke into laughter when he heard Zheng Yuan's words, but the truth was that soul-calling was just nonsense, it was just that the child's yin energy was too strong, it was possible that he had seen the shadow, and was shocked and made the young wife scream, allowing him to sleep peacefully. As for basking in the sun, it was Lin Bai's many years of experience in the martial arts world.
From Zheng Yuan's nervousness and the child's skin color, it could be seen that this child was usually spoiled to the extreme. He was probably raised in the house for fear of catching a chill after going out. As the saying goes, solitude is the only way to grow. Even flowers and plants would have to grow up in the sun, let alone children. It had nothing to do with anything like a soul.
