C10 Lost Scrolls of Healing

The Lost Scrolls of Healing: A magnum opus penned by Hu Qingniu, the Medical Immortal of Butterfly Valley, featured in Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre. It possesses the power to bring the dead back to life or to heal grievous wounds.

Upon discovering this, Ning Xiaoshu was both astonished and elated. As a martial arts enthusiast, he was well aware of the extraordinary nature of Hu Qingniu's medical prowess. With this ability, he might indeed be able to rescue Liu Xiaoyun.

Without a moment's hesitation, he activated the skill card. Instantly, his mind was flooded with a vast array of medical knowledge.

In no time, he had mastered the medical techniques. With the system's assistance, his medical expertise could now be deemed masterful, surpassing even that of the renowned traditional Chinese medicine specialists in the nation.

Ning Xiaoshu stumbled upon a method for treating external injuries in the book, and he couldn't contain his joy.

"You still dare to laugh? You ungrateful wretch! Taking you in was a mistake!" Liu Xiaoyun's mother, Ning Huidie, was already displeased with Ning Xiaoshu's distraction, and now he had the nerve to smile.

"Utterly callous! Ning Xiaoshu, we truly misjudged you!"

Upon hearing Ning Huidie's rebuke, Ning Xiaoshu snapped back to reality and hastily explained, "Auntie, please don't be upset. That's not what I meant."

"Not what you meant? Then what did you mean? Hmph, Xiaoyun has been so good to you, and now that she's in trouble, you..."

Ning Huidie's brow tightened, ready to continue her reproach.

"I apologize, Auntie. I'm at fault for not looking after Xiaoyun properly, but I don't have time to explain right now..." Ning Xiaoshu quickly interjected.

"What do you mean you don't have time to explain? What kind of attitude is that!" Ning Huidie's eyes widened with fury as she berated him.

Even the man beside her, who had been somber, showed a flash of indignation upon hearing Ning Xiaoshu's words.

Realizing his haste, Ning Xiaoshu clarified, "It's not as you imagine, I have a way to save Xiaoyun!"

"What can you possibly do? How long has it been since they entered the emergency room? Do you think you're a doctor?" Ning Huidie scoffed, continuing her endless chatter.

But Ning Xiaoshu glanced at the clock and couldn't worry about that now. He promptly pushed open the operating room doors.

Inside the resuscitation room, Lin Shan was the esteemed director of surgery at the People's Hospital. He was a figure of high regard, representing both authority and expertise in the medical field.

Decades of practice had seen him restore countless lives with his remarkable skills. Yet, even the most skilled doctors have their moments of failure. Emergency medicine is a battle against death itself, where there is no room for error—a single misstep could lead to a catastrophic outcome.

This time, the patient had lost an excessive amount of blood. If the bleeding couldn't be stopped, not even the legendary Hua Tuo could turn the tide.

Lin Shan found the situation daunting. The patient was bleeding from the abdominal aorta, and two hours had passed without success in stopping the hemorrhage.

Despite his years of experience, Lin Shan, masked and assisted by nurses, tried every possible method. Sweat drenched his forehead, which the nurses continuously dabbed away. Even his hands, so accustomed to holding a scalpel, began to tremble.

The operation was dragging on, and even Lin Shan was nearing his limit.

"Teacher, perhaps you should take a break," suggested Chu Mingfeng, noticing Lin Shan's fatigue.

Chu Mingfeng, Lin Shan's disciple, was a prodigy. Though only in his thirties, he had already become the chief surgeon at the hospital, hailed as Lin Shan's rightful successor.

"No, the patient's condition is too critical," Lin Shan replied, shaking his head with a grave tone. Having witnessed countless life-and-death situations, he understood the value of life all too well.

As long as there was the slightest chance, he couldn't give up.

Just then, the resuscitation room door burst open, and a young man with an urgent look on his face entered.

"What are you doing? Do you realize where you are? Get out immediately!" Chu Mingfeng exclaimed, scolding the intruder. How could someone just barge in like that? Who would be accountable if something went wrong?

"I have a way to save her!" Ning Xiaoshu declared earnestly.

"Ridiculous!" Chu Mingfeng retorted dismissively. "What do you think this hospital is? Get out now. Who's going to take the blame if something goes wrong?"

"Nurse, please remove him immediately. He's causing a scene!"

Chu Mingfeng completely ignored Ning Xiaoshu's pleas and instructed the nurse to eject him.

Ning Xiaoshu could see at a glance that Liu Xiaoyun's condition was dire. In his urgency, he implored, "Please, trust me. I'm a relative of the patient!"

"I'm a relative!" Ning Xiaoshu insisted, raising his voice. "The patient is suffering from an abdominal aortic hemorrhage. It's been too long; conventional methods to stop the bleeding are useless. I have a solution!"

He didn't have time to elaborate and spoke hastily.

"Are you joking? Are you even a doctor?"

Chu Mingfeng eyed him skeptically.

Ning Xiaoshu shook his head.

"Then why are you wasting time here? Don't you realize the patient is in critical condition? If you don't want her to be in danger, then leave immediately!"

Chu Mingfeng rebuked him and signaled the nurse with a glance to usher Ning Xiaoshu out.
