C1 Everyone Rebelled, and the Wind Monarch Died!

"I have to save her. I will bring her back to life," declared a man whose expression teetered on the edge of madness, his body radiating an infinite energy. In his hands, a small cauldron hovered above a fiercely burning flame.

Beside him lay a woman of celestial beauty, her face calm in death, despite the sharp sword embedded in her chest. She may have died in peace, but the man refused to accept this fate.

He feverishly tossed treasures of Heaven and Earth into the cauldron, along with a multitude of herbs. After fifteen minutes of intense refining, a nine-leafed herb materialized in his grasp.

Holding the herb, he gazed at the lifeless woman beside him. "This Nine-circle Soul Returning Grass is essential for the Nine-circle Soul Returning Pill. I'll pay any price to bring you back," he vowed.

With those words, he cast the Nine-circle Soul Returning Grass into the cauldron. A beam of light burst forth, piercing the sky toward the Heavenly Court.

As time ticked away, nine days flashed by, with the man tirelessly manipulating the flames.

Suddenly, his eyes gleamed with anticipation. "It's happening!"

His expression was one of intense focus, his eyes alight with excitement. As the crucial moment approached, a gust of wind surged, and a regal young man in a golden robe and a purple-gold crown materialized behind him.

The newcomer chuckled coldly. "Ha, Feng Zhentian, your alchemical prowess is unmatched. To think you could actually concoct the miraculous Nine-circle Soul Returning Pill."

"Zhu Zhantang?" Feng Zhentian turned, his eyes narrowing with caution.

"The Pill is complete, Feng Zhentian. Hand over your precious cauldron," demanded the young man.

"What are you implying, Zhu Zhantang? Do you dare to betray me? Guards!" Feng Zhentian bellowed.

Instantly, twenty figures, both male and female, materialized before him.

"Seize Zhu Zhantang!"

"At once, Wind Monarch."

As the command was issued, the twenty sprang into action, their formidable power tearing the very fabric of space. But their assault was not directed at Zhu Zhantang; it was aimed at Feng Zhentian himself.

"Puff."

Feng Zhentian coughed up a mouthful of blood, his eyes quivering as he stared in utter shock. "You all..."

"Hehe, Feng Zhentian, today it's not just Mr. Zhu turning against you, but us as well."

"Exactly, Feng Zhentian. Starting today, the Divine Martial Continent will witness a new era!"

"Mr. Zhu, with Feng Zhentian gravely wounded, claim his head and you'll stand unrivaled as the foremost figure in the Divine Martial Continent!"

Feng Zhentian could never have imagined such a betrayal. Zhu Zhantang's lips curled into a cold smirk as he advanced step by step toward Feng Zhentian. "Fulfilling the wishes of many, Feng Zhentian, your time has come to die..."

As Zhu Zhantang's words fell, his palm struck Feng Zhentian's crown. Feng Zhentian's vision blurred. He turned to the beautiful woman beside him, filled with a sense of injustice. He was so close, just one step away from his centuries-long goal. Crawling inch by inch toward the woman, he reached out to grasp her hand, but before he could, sharp divine weapons pierced his flesh.

"Ah..."

"Feng Zhentian, why are you screaming in the middle of class?" An irate voice pierced through to Feng Zhentian, jolting him awake. His eyes snapped open to find he wasn't in the alchemy chamber but in a classroom instead. The familiar faces surrounding him made his eyes shake with disbelief. He couldn't fathom the reality before him.
