C11 Teach Luo Yuan a Lesson

Luo Yuan let out a cold laugh and said sternly, "Sister, are you seriously defending this piece of garbage?"

"Get lost."

The crowd exchanged bewildered glances as if they had just seen a ghost.

Had that really been Jiang Chen who spoke just now?

"What the hell did you just say? You're nothing but trash, and yet you have the nerve to be so bold!"

"My dear brother-in-law, are you asking for me to teach you some manners?" Luo Yuan's fists tightened, his posture screaming of an impending thrashing for Jiang Chen.

Contrary to what Luo Yiran, her aunt, and her mother expected, Jiang Chen didn't cower. He met Luo Yuan's gaze with an icy stare.

"Get lost."

Jiang Chen's curt dismissal left the onlookers murmuring in disbelief.

Wasn't Jiang Chen known as the Luo family's doormat?

Today's events were painting a very different picture...

"Damn, you really are clueless!" Luo Yuan growled, his fist raised, ready to strike Jiang Chen.

The onlookers held their breath, not daring to utter a word.

Everyone in the Luo family was aware of Luo Yuan's shady connections. It seemed inevitable that Jiang Chen would have to endure some hardship today and learn his lesson, especially after his bold retort.

"My dear brother-in-law, today I'm going to show you how to properly behave!" Luo Yuan boasted with a triumphant laugh, completely underestimating Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen, however, paid him no mind.

Whoosh!

In a flash, Jiang Chen struck.

Thud!

With just one blow, Luo Yuan was sent flying across the room, crashing onto a table.

Luo Yiran clapped a hand over her mouth, too shocked to speak. She knew Jiang Chen was capable, but she had never imagined his abilities to be so formidable.

The scene left Luo Yiran's aunt and mother equally stunned.

Jiang Chen had always been compliant, always following orders—so why the sudden change today?

And it seemed that not only had his behavior changed, but his fighting prowess had significantly increased as well.

Luo Yiran's mother was particularly puzzled. She had only been in the hospital for a few days; how had Jiang Chen undergone such a drastic transformation?

After being floored by Jiang Chen's punch, Luo Yuan was seething with indignation. He bellowed, "Damn it, you actually had the guts to hit me. Don't you realize the extent of my influence around here? You must really not want to live in this city anymore!"

"Keep your eyes peeled—if you don't end up losing a leg today, then my name isn't Luo Yuan!"

Luo Yuan lay on the ground clutching his stomach, glaring at Jiang Chen with venomous hatred, spewing curses.

He hadn't fully grasped what had just happened, only feeling as if his insides were quaking, the pain so intense he was forced to writhe on the ground, teeth clenched.

Luo Yuan scrambled to his feet, seized a red wooden stool, and hurled it directly at Jiang Chen.

Luo Yiran watched the scene unfold in a panic, unsure of what to do, until her mother finally pulled her aside.

To the onlookers, it seemed impossible for Jiang Chen to dodge the incoming missile, especially since the stool was hurtling straight for his face—a feat no ordinary person could evade.

But who was Jiang Chen?

He was none other than the reincarnation of the Immortal Venerable!

Lacking his former powers to move mountains and overturn seas, he still found it trivial to handle this minor thug before him.

"You're clueless," Jiang Chen remarked with a glance, as a formidable presence burst forth from him.

For a moment, everyone present was spellbound.

What kind of ordinary person could emanate such an aura?

Jiang Chen stood before them like an invincible war deity.

The Luo family members were equally taken aback by the sight of him.

Meanwhile, with a mere sidestep, Jiang Chen effortlessly evaded the flying stool.

The crowd was left agape.

What sort of speed was that?

Wasn't he supposed to be hit?

How did he dodge it with such ease?

Worry etched on her face, Luo Yiran didn't want the situation to escalate further and sought to intervene, but Luo Yuan's thunderous bellow cut her off.

"Quit your charades—I'm going to flatten you!" Luo Yuan bellowed, launching another stool. Luo Yiran's mother and aunt shrieked, scurrying to safety, fearing collateral damage.

"Watch out!" Luo Yiran cried out instinctively.

Yet there stood Jiang Chen, immovable.

"Heh, you fool. About to be crushed and still you stand there, unmoved! I'd like to see how you plan to walk out of here alive today!" Luo Yuan mocked, eyeing the unflinching Jiang Chen with a cold sneer.

"As the saying goes, 'Still as a mountain, swift as a darting rabbit.' Just as the stool Luo Yuan hurled was about to hit Jiang Chen, Jiang Chen's figure vanished into thin air.

Impossible!!!

Everyone was too stunned to speak.

They had just witnessed Jiang Chen disappear right before their eyes.

It was as if he had performed the Earth Escape Technique from an anime.

"You had your chance, and you wasted it."

A faint voice drifted over, sending a shiver down Luo Yuan's spine.

Everyone was astounded.

Could a person even do such a thing?

Luo Yuan was in disbelief.

In all his time in society, he had never encountered anyone with such frightening abilities.

Luo Yiran was equally taken aback.

She knew Jiang Chen was skilled, but she never imagined his abilities would be ghostly in their deftness!

Gazing at Jiang Chen, who stood there like an Immortal Venerable, Luo Yuan was filled with a sense of helplessness and insignificance.

And with that, his confusion deepened.

He couldn't shake the feeling that this Jiang Chen was not the same person he once knew.

"Time and again you've provoked me; did you think I wouldn't react?" Jiang Chen advanced towards Luo Yuan, each step radiating the aura of an invincible war deity.

For the first time, Luo Yuan felt utterly powerless before an adversary.

"Don't... don't lay a finger on me. I'm with the Black Dragon Society. If you harm me, they won't let you off the hook..."

Luo Yuan stammered, inching backward in fear.

He was terrified.

It was his first encounter with such overwhelming dread.

"Enough!"

The sharp reprimand from Luo Yiran's mother halted Jiang Chen, averting what could have been dire consequences.

His aunt's face darkened with fury. She had intended for her son to give Jiang Chen a simple lesson, but it turned out that Jiang Chen was the one doing the teaching.

Narrowing his eyes, Jiang Chen casually tossed a black bag to Luo Yiran, "Here's the three hundred thousand from before."

"Once I've returned this three hundred thousand, our families will have no further ties. And as for my previous debts, I will repay them in full."

Having spoken, Jiang Chen turned and pushed the door open, striding out and leaving the four of them dumbfounded in his wake.

"No!" Luo Yiran cried out, before bolting after him.
