C13 Profound Pill

A rustling sound emerged from the grass not too far from Qin Feng's line of sight.

His muscles instantly became taut with anticipation.

The creature didn't seem large, but Xuli had warned that smaller beasts were often the deadliest, and one should never provoke them.

The underbrush stirred slightly, accompanied by soft whimpers.

With resolve, Qin Feng tiptoed closer, parting the grass carefully.

Deadly?

A twitch crossed Qin Feng's face as he discovered a little tiger cub with white fur and black stripes nestled in the dry grass. It gazed at him with big, round eyes, its long tail with white flames flickering gently. Upon seeing Qin Feng, it playfully rolled over, exuding an air of cuteness.

He sighed and gently scratched under the little tiger cub's chin, which it seemed to enjoy, closing its eyes in contentment.

Clearly, one couldn't trust anyone from those worthless sects.

"System, can you determine the level of Spirit Beast this Little White Tiger is?" Qin Feng inquired.

"Ding!"

"Apologies, host. The data does not reveal the level of Spirit Beast for this White Tiger. The system isn't all-powerful, and some areas are still unclear."

Qin Feng was tempted to retort, "What use are you, then?"

But he had more pressing matters – finding the Spirit Pool, gathering Spirit Qi, and crafting the Profound Pill.

He rose to his feet and began his search, eventually discovering a Spirit Pool hidden behind a thicket. Mist rose from the water, which was split into hues of blue and white.

After a quick confirmation with the system, Qin Feng confirmed he had indeed found the Spirit Pool.

The Spirit Qi here was palpably dense; even the air he breathed felt exceptionally pure.

Qin Feng retrieved the Condensation Binding Bead from his Secret Bag, placing it on his palm and levitating it. Forming a seal with his hands, he drew in the surrounding Spirit Qi into the bead. The white, star-like dust swirled into a vortex, slowly merging with the bead.

Over time, the Condensation Binding Bead transformed into a Profound Pill, marked with dark grey cloud patterns.

The cultivation of the Profound Pill encompassed five stages: Common Rank, Spirit Rank, Saint Rank, Venerable Rank, and Heaven Rank, each with nine levels. The color of the Profound Pill varied with each rank, transitioning from gray to blue, purple, red, and finally gold.

Qin Feng caught the gray Profound Pill, now fused with Spirit Qi, and his heart swelled with joy. He merged the Profound Pill into his forehead, and it emitted a soft white glow, revealing a white cloud pattern that quickly vanished. A surge of Profound Power flowed through his hands, and upon testing his Nether Fire Pupil, he confirmed it was indeed an authentic Profound Pill.

In the midst of his elation, Qin Feng was startled by a sudden white light emanating from the depths of the pool. He approached the edge, peering into the Spirit Pool, but all he could see was a blinding whiteness.

"Ding!"

"Host, a large energy source has been detected at the bottom of the Spirit Pool. It is an unidentified object."

This information deepened Qin Feng's curiosity. The Spirit Pool, located at the heart of the Beast Realm Division, was a nexus of concentrated Spiritual Qi. Surely, something was drawing it in; a divine object must be hidden at the bottom.

Stripping off his black garments, Qin Feng dove into the Spirit Pool. As he made contact with the water, a refreshing coolness enveloped him, seemingly purifying him to the marrow. Holding his breath, he plunged to the depths, discovering that the pool, seemingly shallow from above, concealed a vast expanse beneath.

The water grew colder as he descended. Through the murky depths, Qin Feng spotted a bed of broken stones covering the pool's floor, with a yellow crystal embedded at the center, radiating a blinding light.

He swam towards the crystal, struggling against the water's resistance. It took a herculean effort, but he finally reached the crystal. Qin Feng's only desire was to retrieve the yellow crystal, but it was firmly lodged within the stones, and no matter how he tried, it wouldn't budge. Deprived of fresh air, he could no longer hold his breath, and the pool's water rushed into his mouth and nose.

With a forceful twist, Qin Feng snapped the crystal free. Clutching it tightly, he surged upward to the surface of the Spirit Pool.

Once onshore, he gasped deeply, steadying his breath.

To his surprise, the Spirit Pool appeared to have lost its enchantment. The dual-toned blue and white surface, along with the wisps of mist that had floated above, faded away, leaving behind water as clear and ordinary as any other pool, devoid of its former liveliness.

Qin Feng examined the palm-sized yellow crystal in his grasp, its glow flickering as if sentient.

"System, do you recognize this?"

A mechanical voice responded in his mind after a pause.

"Ding!"

"No data is displayed, but the energy within this crystal is immensely powerful."

"…" What use are you to me?

Qin Feng stowed the crystal in his Secret Bag and pulled out a set of snug gray robes to change into. After tying back his hair and wiping the blood and dust from his face, he once again resembled a dashing young noble.

He intended to search for the Magic Array's exit, but venturing out now could provoke an attack from a Devil Beast.

Qin Feng's brow furrowed. Was he destined to be marooned here?

He recalled his arrival, how the Teleportation Magic Array had vanished after delivering him. Then it dawned on him...

The Teleportation Magic Array was on him all along. It seemed the various sects had placed a protective spell within the Beast Realm Division for their disciples' safety, allowing for free teleportation. That explained why the Magic Array had disappeared upon his arrival in the Beast Realm Division.

"Host, your long-dormant brain has finally come to life, figuring things out at last," the System taunted with contempt.

Ignoring the System's sarcasm, Qin Feng concentrated, his hand as if grasping the Nether Stone.

Sure enough, a red Magic Array materialized beneath him. Engulfed in its crimson glow, Qin Feng was whisked away to the original entrance of the God Abandoning Land.

The sun had set, and twilight descended. The entrance to the God Abandoning Land was now deserted, with no sign of the other sects' disciples.

Qin Feng decided he would head back to the inn today and figure out his next steps tomorrow.

His fists were clenched tightly, his brows furrowed deeply, a hint of anger flickering across his face.

He would not let anyone off the hook—not Qiu Mu, the sect master of the Imperial Heaven Sect, nor the thief who had pinned the theft of the Sect Supreme Treasure on him.
