C3 Qin Feng Forged

When Qin Feng made his claim, I knew he was trying to impress Grandfather, but his boasting was a bit much. Even Grandfather couldn't forge it, so what could he possibly do?

"Don't spout nonsense here," Lian Yan chided. "Believe me, I won't allow you to come back if you keep this up."

Her tone was far from friendly.

Qin Feng couldn't help but feel amused. It sounded as though he was here just to see her. True, he was quite taken with her, but he had more pressing matters at hand.

"I'm serious," Qin Feng insisted, a touch of irritation in his voice.

"Serious? Do you even realize who you're speaking in front of?" Lian Yan scoffed.

Her grandfather was the most accomplished weapon forger in their sect. If even he couldn't do it, what made Qin Feng think he could make such wild claims?

She could appreciate boasting from someone with the skills to back it up, but she absolutely despised those who tried to show off without any real ability.

"Forging is a craft that requires years of accumulated experience and consumes a vast amount of materials. It's not something to be taken lightly," Martial Uncle Lian interjected, his message clear: You're not ready, so step aside.

After a glance at the pair, Qin Feng sighed, "My apologies for the disrespect. If Martial Uncle Lian believes I'm incapable, then I shall take my leave."

"How is it," Lian Yan mocked, "that you talk as if you could actually succeed in forging it? Ridiculous!"

Being underestimated by Martial Uncle Lian was one thing—he could squash her with a single slap. But Lian Yan? She was nothing more than a pretty face with a powerful grandfather.

Do they both think so little of me?

An uncle might endure what an aunt will not.

With a smile, Qin Feng proposed, "How about I give it a try? If I fail to forge a top-grade Spirit Weapon, I'll give you five hundred Fire Spirit Stones. But if I succeed, you must agree to any one request from me."

Inwardly, he was already pleading with the system.

"System, you better not let me down!"

The system responded with confidence, "Host, rest assured. This system is the strongest forge master across all realms!"

"Fine! Grandpa, let him try. Who knows, he might actually pull it off like he claims," Lian Yan said with a derisive laugh. She wasn't concerned about making Qin Feng lose face. As for his wager, she didn't believe for a second that Qin Feng could deliver.

Qin Feng turned to Martial Uncle Lian and requested, "Please witness this, Martial Uncle Lian."

"Alright."

Under normal circumstances, Martial Uncle Lian would have sent Qin Feng packing, with no chance of returning to observe. However, he now felt it was his duty to impart some lessons to Qin Feng on behalf of the sect.

Refining equipment takes years of practice!

It's not as easy as you think!

"Fine, I will serve as your witness. If you lose, both parties must willingly accept their punishment. Should anyone dare to break this agreement, I will deal with them personally!"

His words were obviously directed at Qin Feng.

You're so full of yourself. If you fail to refine anything later, don't blame me for being harsh on you!

Qin Feng bowed respectfully and said, "Since the wager has begun, I assume I'm allowed to use these materials as per the rules."

"Go ahead, use whatever you need," Martial Uncle Lian said, eyeing the materials that were leftovers from previous refining sessions, some of which were just scrap. It would be a waste not to use them.

Qin Feng nodded in acknowledgment.

With Martial Uncle Lian's approval, he was determined to put on a good show.

Feigning confidence, Qin Feng opened the forging furnace. Internally, he was already in communication with the system. If it proved unreliable, Qin Feng vowed to make it regret crossing him.

Once the materials were in place, he ignited the fire and began the refining process.

Martial Uncle Lian watched with a furrowed brow.

Had it not been for the bet, he would have stopped the process immediately. The materials hadn't even melted—what was Qin Feng attempting to refine?

"Hey, do you even know how to refine? You're missing the basics, and yet you still attempt to refine?"

Lian Yan chimed in, "Looking like that, what kind of Spirit Stone could you possibly produce? You'll just end up wasting all the materials, and I won't let you off the hook!"

"Don't interfere; this is my own special method of refining!" Qin Feng retorted, his face flushing.

He had no clue about the proper refining techniques, but with a little cheating, he was confident in the outcome.

"It's all on you now, system. If you let me down, I swear I'll stew you in an octagonal pot tonight!"

"Rest easy, host! The system has arrived!"

The very next moment, Martial Uncle Lian, who had been scowling and even showing signs of anger, suddenly bulged his eyes in astonishment. The Refining Furnace erupted with a burst of radiant, multicolored light.

Then, a resplendent Cosmos Ring materialized.

Clearly, this was the magical treasure he had longed to forge. Yet here was Qin Feng, effortlessly crafting it, making Martial Uncle Lian's intelligence feel insulted by the simplicity of his technique.

"What?!"

Martial Uncle Lian was dumbfounded.

Could this really be happening?

Was it possible that this young man's treasure was merely a filler?

"See that? I should win the wager now, shouldn't I? You'll honor our bet, won't you, Senior Sister?" Qin Feng boasted.

If Martial Uncle Lian weren't present, he would have already requested Lian Yan to don a sexy maid outfit and attend to him in his room that evening.

"Qin Feng wins the bet!"

Martial Uncle Lian declared the victory with a twitch in his smile. He couldn't believe that Qin Feng could actually forge such a treasure, not even if his life depended on it.

Then it dawned on him.

Maybe this was all part of Qin Feng's plan. He had won the treasure, knew the risks of possessing it, and deliberately set up the bet to lose the treasure to him.

"Little Yan, you must agree to one condition from Qin Feng. Don't worry, he won't ask for anything too outrageous."

Martial Uncle Lian cautioned.

Qin Feng was tempted to say he just wanted his granddaughter to wear a slightly revealing maid outfit. That wasn't too much to ask, was it?

"Martial Uncle Lian, you jest. I have other matters to attend to, so I must excuse myself."

Qin Feng was ready to make his escape.

How could he not flee? He had hoped to demonstrate his prodigious forging talents, but both Lian Yan and Martial Uncle Lian regarded him as if he were a fool.

It was clear they didn't believe him!

Was Qin Feng expected to walk into a trap and reveal his secret system?

"I've really taken a hit this time!"

Qin Feng lamented, his heart aching at the loss. Lian Yan couldn't help but snicker at his dismay.

But as Qin Feng departed, he slyly inquired, "System, you didn't skimp on the materials, did you? Equip me with a full set. I'm off to the God Abandoning Land to refine like mad!"

Half a day later, at the entrance to the God Abandoning Land, Qin Feng could feel the pressure mounting—a relentless nudge from the system's talisman.

"Quick, get inside!"

"This system is eager to refine!"

"Hahaha!"

Qin Feng couldn't help but think of the Refining Furnace as an overly conceited child. As he was about to step into the forsaken realm, a voice halted him in his tracks.

"Kid, are you looking to get yourself killed?"

Qin Feng, puzzled, responded, "What do you mean?"

"Entering the God Abandoning Land without a high-tier magical treasure is akin to suicide. Don't you know that?"

"What are you referring to?"

Qin Feng then produced a collection of magical treasures, each crafted from the materials pilfered by the system from Martial Uncle Lian.
