C9 The First Emergence of a Genius!

Wang Feng made his way back to his courtyard from the rear mountain. Gazing upon the slightly neglected garden, a wave of melancholy washed over him—it hadn't always been this way.

"Bang! Bang!"

"What's that noise?" Wang Feng tensed up, his thoughts racing to Lee, who he knew was still within the courtyard. Without hesitation, he quickened his pace toward the sound.

"Hah! You worthless servant, give me the pill you're holding, and I'll let you live! Do you hear me?" Wang Cheng bellowed at Lee.

Wang Cheng attempted to drag Lee toward the gate, but Wang Feng's anger flared, his fists clenching so tightly they turned white.

"Release him!" Wang Feng demanded.

Wang Cheng had barely touched Lee's shoulder when Lee nimbly dodged the attack. Taken aback, Wang Cheng reached out again, only to miss as Lee evaded once more.

"What the—"

Wang Cheng was taken aback, but there stood Lee, poised at the entrance of the courtyard, exuding the aura of a celestial sage, vibrant and commanding.

"How is this possible? He seems like an ordinary man, yet he possesses such presence?"

Wang Feng was thrilled by Lee's aura, reminiscent of the Sage of the Hidden Jade Mountain from his own world. Though Lee's powers were modest, they were poised to grow alongside Wang Feng's own strength, thanks to the Creation System.

The pill Lee had refined after Wang Feng's departure was of immense benefit to those on the path of physical cultivation. Unbeknownst to Lee, he possessed the pill-making skills of the Sage of the Hidden Jade Mountain, enabling even the most common pills to have significant impact. The Body Strengthening Pill he had meticulously crafted was particularly potent, its energy and concentration surpassing that of similar pills.

Wang Cheng had intended to confront Wang Feng but unexpectedly encountered Lee stepping out with the freshly refined pill. The thought of seizing the pill consumed him. "Why should such a fine pill fall into the hands of a lowly servant like Wang Feng? It's rightfully mine! That good-for-nothing Wang Feng doesn't deserve such treasures!"

Surprised by Lee's distinctive presence, which stood out like a crane among chickens, Wang Cheng resolved to end the battle swiftly.

Wang Feng, not taking any chances, utilized the robust physique he had honed through the Celestial Nine Revolution Technique to grapple with Lee, bracing himself against Wang Cheng's punch.

Wang Cheng's father, a general from a cadet branch of the Wang family, had naturally imparted a solid foundation in martial arts to his son.

Wang Cheng's fists blazed as if aflame, forming the image of a fiery red tiger's head that seemed to come to life on the surface of his fists.

Having absorbed the blow, Wang Feng was certainly in discomfort. His internal energy was chaotic, but fortunately, the Celestial Nine Revolution Technique helped to suppress and gradually stabilize it.

"What's happening?" Wang Cheng, rubbing his tingling palms in astonishment, demanded, "You... Weren't you incapable of cultivating martial arts? How did you manage to achieve the strength of a six-star Warrior?"

Wang Feng, wearing a sly smile, remained silent. Wang Cheng had an epiphany, "Could it be that you've been feigning weakness all along, masquerading as a nobody? But that doesn't make sense! What's really going on?" he pondered to himself.

Without giving Wang Cheng time to process, Wang Feng launched another punch, and the two collided with a thunderous boom!

Wang Cheng was sent flying, tracing a perfect parabola through the air before crashing to the ground and kicking up a whirlwind of dust. Meanwhile, Wang Feng, merely stepping back twice, continued to watch Wang Cheng's disheveled state with a slight smile, unaware of how despised and loathed his grin appeared to his opponent.

Coughing and spitting out blood, Wang Cheng rose to his feet and steadied his breathing. Facing Wang Feng, he declared, "I was caught off guard before. Let's go again! True to the son of a general, you've got the spirit of a true man!"

Wang Feng remarked, "However, having spirit alone is futile. What's crucial is that you also possess the strength!"

Enraged, Wang Cheng's hands glowed with a fierce scarlet light, and he charged at Wang Feng with a roar like a tiger echoing through the forest, the sound reverberating thunderously.

The more furious one becomes, the more likely they are to lose reason, and a loss of reason can cloud judgment – Wang Cheng was a prime example of this.

As Wang Feng's strength increased, his agility naturally decreased. He twisted his body to evade Wang Cheng's formidable attack. A scarlet tiger head soared over Wang Feng's head, leaving a trail of faint sparks in the air.

It's a well-known adage among the warriors of the First Land that a Warrior's full-strength blow, if missed, brings them close to death.

With a single-footed leap, Wang Feng launched himself at Wang Cheng's chest, channeling fifty percent of his strength into the kick. The impact sent Wang Cheng flying once more, the clash over in the blink of an eye.

Wang Cheng lay on the ground, severely wounded, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as he glared at Wang Feng and vowed through clenched teeth, "You just wait! I will make your life a living hell!" The Wang family disciples, who had been secretly watching, were utterly taken aback by the confrontation.

Wang Feng, however, was too preoccupied with tending to Lee's injuries to bother with the aftermath. Thankfully, Lee's injuries were not critical. Had they been, Wang Feng would not have hesitated to take Wang Cheng's life, even at the risk of being banished from the Wang family.

"Heh! If you're looking for a challenge, I'll be right here in the Wang family courtyard, ready to oblige!" he declared.

Wang Cheng's servant hurried over to assist him, supporting him as they made their way back to his residence. Meanwhile, Wang Feng escorted Lee into the courtyard and through to the inner chambers of his own residence.

The disciples from the Outer Sect, who had been covertly observing, realized they had sorely underestimated Wang Feng. Far from being worthless, he was actually a prodigy! Word of his prowess spread rapidly, and soon Wang Feng's reputation was the talk of the Outer Sect.

In a grand hall within the Outer Sect, a young man dressed in white sat upon the throne, listening intently to the breathless report of his subordinate.

"Young Master Jian sent for me? What's the matter?" he inquired.

The man, visibly anxious, stammered out, "Master Bing, it's Young Master Jian, he... he..."

"Out with it! Don't dawdle!"

"Young Master Jian's martial arts prowess has been destroyed by someone!"

Wang Ming descended from the throne, seized the man by his collar, and bellowed, "What did you say? Repeat that!"

"Young Master Jian's martial arts cultivation has been destroyed by someone!"

Wang Ming's expression darkened as he demanded, "Who is it?"

"Wang Feng!"

"That good-for-nothing?"

"Very well! You dare to cripple my brother's martial arts cultivation; I'll ensure your life is worse than death, with your soul battered by the torments of hell. Wait for it!"

In a fit of rage, Wang Ming hurled the Night-Luminescent Pearl he was clutching onto the floor, shattering it to pieces.

In the council chamber, Lee stood before Wang Feng, presenting him with an Overlord Pill and advised, "Young Master, this Overlord Pill is extremely potent. The process may be excruciating, but you must persevere!"

Wang Feng eyed the pill in his hand and clenched his jaw. "No worries, fetch me a short stick. I'll bite down on it."

Lee procured a stick, and Wang Feng swallowed the pill. It dissolved instantly upon touching his tongue, releasing a subtle, refreshing fragrance.

Wang Feng was about to accuse Lee of deception, as he initially felt no pain. However, the agony soon followed.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" The pain was like a sword thrust through his chest, a relentless flame in his belly growing hotter and more intense by the moment.

Wang Feng writhed on the bed, clenching the stick between his teeth, his face contorted in anguish as he endured the relentless heat. The pain quickly spread throughout his body, leaving him as restless as an ant on a hot skillet, with no escape.

Tears streamed down Lee's face as he watched, wiping them away as he encouraged, "Just a little longer, Young Master. Just bear with it... it's only the duration of half an incense stick. You can do it!"

After the time it takes half an incense stick to burn, Wang Feng lay motionless on the bed. Then, black substances began to seep from his pores. As the impurities left his body, his twisted expression softened, and a warm flow emerged from his dantian, eliciting an involuntary groan from Wang Feng. His entire body felt incredibly relieved.

With newfound strength, Wang Feng sensed a snap from within his dantian – he had achieved a breakthrough! His body was tempered, and he had ascended to the rank of a novice Blademaster. A surge of unspeakable joy filled his heart.

Wang Feng, oblivious to the foul odor clinging to his unwashed body, embraced Lee tightly, his eyes trailing long streaks of tears.

"Congratulations, Young Master," Lee exclaimed with pride. "You've finally made your breakthrough!"

Lee, a man of few words, seemed unfazed by the stench wafting from the Young Master. Overcome with joy, he found himself at a loss for words.
