C7 That's It!

Once the customers had cleared out of their store, the sales associates began to gossip among themselves.

"Notice that? Some folks might not turn heads or dress to impress, but they sure do outspend those who look like they were born with a silver spoon," one remarked.

"Did you catch how cool he looked swiping his card with just one hand?" another chimed in.

"You're all missing the point. You didn't really take a good look at him. I'm telling you, with the right outfit and a fresh haircut, he could be a total heartthrob!" a third insisted.

After purchasing a few more outfits at the mall, Liang Xiaoyan decided she had shopped enough for the day.

"That's all for today," she said, eyeing the multitude of bags in Yang Yu's grasp with a curious gaze. He was lugging around so much yet didn't seem to break a sweat – was his stamina really that impressive? And to think, he had footed the bill for everything without batting an eye.

"We're done?" Yang Yu appeared reluctant to end the shopping spree. Glancing at the bags he was holding, he offered, "With all this stuff, it's going to be tough for you to carry it all back. How about I buy you a car? You've got a driver's license, right?"

He had spotted the sports car exhibit on the first floor and was already heading in that direction.

Liang Xiaoyan's fondness for him had risen to 45, and he was eager to keep the momentum going by spending more.

"No, no, no," she protested, for the first time declining Yang Yu's lavish spending on her behalf. "You've already dropped over 600,000 yuan today. Even with deep pockets, there's got to be a limit."

She herself was starting to feel a twinge of guilt over his expenditures. In just a few hours, he had spent a small fortune! And with a Ferrari on display nearby, buying another car could mean shelling out millions more. Even if she were simply after an ATM, the amount of money he was dispensing was overwhelming.

Especially since Yang Yu seemed unfazed by the spending, ready to splurge even more, she couldn't help but worry if his wealth was acquired through dubious means.

Yang Yu, who had played the devoted follower for years, quickly picked up on her genuine reluctance. His voice betrayed his concern.

It seemed she was concerned he might have ulterior motives.

"Okay," Yang Yu nodded. "It's getting late. Let me take you home. You can't possibly carry all this stuff."

"Okay... let's do that," Liang Xiaoyan paused, then decided, "I'll head back later."

With that, she decisively took Yang Yu by the hand and led him to a nearby men's clothing store to pick out some clothes.

Yang Yu went along with her choices and got ready to foot the bill. Since she was the one selecting, he figured his black card would come in handy.

But when it came time to pay, Liang Xiaoyan surprisingly pulled out her own wallet.

The clothes and pants weren't too pricey, but they still amounted to over a thousand yuan.

"You look so much better now," Liang Xiaoyan said with a nod, clearly pleased. She even adjusted Yang Yu's hair. "When we get a chance, I'll take you to a nice place for a haircut. Your hair could use some styling."

Favourability +20.

Just like that, her favourability shot up by 20 points? And he didn't even have to spend a dime to earn it?

Now at 65 favourability, was he close to taking the lead?

It all seemed to be happening too quickly.
