C9 Brother Is so Bad!

"Miss Zhou, what history do we have?" Yang Yu bit back his anger and shot back a quick response.

Back in her dorm, Zhou Qianni read his message without a hint of surprise. Battle-hardened as she was, she wasn't about to let go that easily. Men, especially Yang Yu, could be summed up in one word: "jerk." She fired back immediately, "Remember how we used to stroll on the sports field, catch movies, share meals, and..."

The nostalgia attack!

It's the most effective tactic against men. There's a saying that goes:

Men often hesitate to follow through with a breakup, while women, when they say it's over, usually mean it.

For a guy like Yang Yu, a classic loser, if the woman swallows her pride and offers a heartfelt apology, a couple of days of sweet talk could mend fences.

Even without a green pasture, it wouldn't matter!

Zhou Qianni knew all these maneuvers by heart.

Yang Yu couldn't help but laugh in irritation when Zhou Qianni resorted to memory lane. After everything, she was still pulling this stunt? Was she angling for a reunion, or was it his black card she was after?

"Don't you get sick to your stomach saying things like that?"

He sent the message, just as Liang Xiaoyan finished touching up her makeup. She walked over, noticed Yang Yu's scowl at his phone, and instinctively asked, "Is Zhou Qianni bothering you?"

"You knew?" Yang Yu looked at her, impressed. Indeed, women understand each other!

Or perhaps she and Zhou Qianni were cut from the same cloth, both adept at playing the game.

Liang Xiaoyan nodded and offered, "Need my help?"

"Sure." Yang Yu agreed without hesitation. The best way to counter a green tea is with a higher-grade green tea!

"Hand me your phone," Liang Xiaoyan said, reaching out.

Yang Yu complied just as conveniently as Zhou Qianni sent another reply.

Without another word, Liang Xiaoyan sent a voice message in response.

Zhou Qianni stared at her phone screen, feeling torn. Even though Yang Yu had spoken to her in that tone, the memory of his lavish spending earlier that afternoon nagged at her, urging her to keep her cool.

How could she possibly pass up such an opportunity?

Out of the blue, her phone rang. Could it be a voice message from Yang Yu?

“Yang Yu!” she blurted out with excitement as soon as she answered, “There’s still a chance for us, right? We…”

“Yu’s too busy to deal with you now… Brother’s being naughty… Oh my, your hand…”

Seated on the couch, Yang Yu watched Liang Xiaoyan perform her monologue across the room, which made him gulp and his pulse race.

Hearing that voice, Zhou Qianni’s face darkened. She knew all too well what this woman and Yang Yu were up to.

“You called just to make me listen to this?!” Zhou Qianni’s face contorted with displeasure. This was sheer mockery, and clearly, this woman was staking her claim.

“Enough, I’m done talking. Yu and I have things to do… um… we’re busy…”

With those words, Liang Xiaoyan ended the call with a decisive click and handed the phone back to Yang Yu, saying, “There, she shouldn’t bother you for a while.”
