C10 To Obtain Trust?

Wang Anshi's eyebrows were uncontrollably twitching. With such a major incident unfolding, if he couldn't resolve it promptly, his position as director would be in jeopardy.

"Director Chen, I won't beat around the bush. We've had similar incidents before, but none as grave as this. With ghosts running amok, we need to take Ye Cheng away as quickly as possible."

The pressure was mounting, and Wang Anshi didn't have the luxury of time to elaborate further to Director Chen. His focus was on securing Ye Cheng.

Chen Yangguang gave a resigned shrug and said, "I'm not opposed to you taking him, but Ye Cheng is among the most severely ill in our facility. Taking him with you will depend on whether he's willing to go with you, not on my say-so."

Psychotic patients often have their own mental realms, distinct from those of ordinary people. The decision to leave with someone else is ultimately up to the patient, not the hospital director.

Wang Anshi spent the morning brainstorming with his team, devising several strategies.

Plan A: Snack Temptation.

The Supernatural Bureau's staff donned patient gowns in an attempt to bond with Ye Cheng, but instead of winning him over, they inadvertently ended up giving away their snacks.

With Plan A a bust, they initiated Plan B.

A nurse deliberately offered Ye Cheng a Supernatural Bureau uniform. Donning it, Ye Cheng felt incredibly dashing, basking in his own delight for quite some time.

However, just when the Supernatural Bureau's team thought they had succeeded, Ye Cheng stripped off the uniform and leapt onto the grass for a swim, leading to another dead end.

Desperate, Wang Anshi recalled Chen Yangguang's words and decided to review the science fiction movie previously shown at the mental hospital.

Exercising his authority, he had the Supernatural Bureau locate a uniform closely resembling the one from the movie.

Dressed in the new attire, Wang Anshi found Ye Cheng crawling on the courtyard grass.

Ye Cheng's path was blocked by a pair of boots. Looking up, he was thrilled to see the silhouette of the headquarters uniform against the light and quickly scrambled to his feet.

However, having encountered many peculiar individuals before, Ye Cheng remained wary of the person before him.

"T300," Wang Anshi stated with gravity in his voice.

Ye Cheng's face shifted as he regarded Wang Anshi with a serious gaze. "Who are you? How do you know my code name?"

"Many criminals have been trying to capture individuals from our planet recently. As the most accomplished T300 on this planet, you are under our protection. I am T100, dispatched by headquarters to support you," Wang Anshi explained.

Ye Cheng eyed the man before him with skepticism. "Heavenly King Covering the Earth Tiger."

What in the world?

Wang Anshi was taken aback. Why was there a need for a code phrase? According to Chen Yangguang, Ye Cheng invented some code names himself, changing them several times a day. Even they couldn't always keep up with the specifics.

Nevertheless, Ye Cheng had taken a liking to a particular song lately. Perhaps it was worth a shot?

"Ah, give me a cup of Unforgettable Water."

Wang Anshi sang the line earnestly, his heart pounding as he awaited Ye Cheng's reaction, uncertain if it would connect.

The minutes felt like years to Wang Anshi as he waited without letting his guard down.

Moments later, Ye Cheng stepped back and solemnly placed his hand near his right ear. "Connection successful. Multi-star Planet T300 reporting to T100!"

Wang Anshi's eyes gleamed with relief; his guess had been correct!

Standing tall, Wang Anshi declared, "This planet requires the aid of Multi-star Planet. As T100, it is my duty to ensure the public's safety. I hereby command T300 to heed all orders from T100."

"T300 will absolutely comply with headquarters' directives," Ye Cheng responded with gravity.

He hadn't anticipated that after such a lengthy period, headquarters would indeed dispatch someone to retrieve him. It was a relief that he hadn't lost hope.

Wang Anshi wouldn't miss this prime opportunity for indoctrination. He imparted numerous ideals about public protection to Ye Cheng. If he couldn't fully cure his psychosis, he'd at least reshape his thoughts.

By the time Wang Anshi finished issuing orders to Ye Cheng, dusk was approaching. They could not afford to delay any longer.

Wang Anshi obtained a pass from Chen Yangguang and dressed Ye Cheng in new clothes before escorting him out of the mental hospital. Ye Cheng, who had spent a considerable time in the mental hospital, was fascinated by the world outside the car window.

"Is this trip meant to take me back to the Multi-star Planet?" he asked.

Sitting beside him, Wang Anshi responded, "We've been assigned a very serious mission by headquarters. We'll only have the opportunity to return to the Multi-star Planet once we complete it."

"Determined to get back to the Multi-star Planet, T300 will surely fulfill the mission," Ye Cheng declared.

The system observed Ye Cheng's every action, incredulous at the deception. He actually fell for it. Oh, how it wished for a different host!

The car came to a gentle stop in front of Tiancheng Internet Cafe. Wang Anshi led Ye Cheng out and pointed to the cafe, "Inside, there are obstacles preventing our return to the Multi-star Planet. We must eliminate them."

"T300 pledges to complete the mission!" Ye Cheng proclaimed as he barged in. Wang Anshi tried to hold him back, but to no avail, and ended up following him with two Supernatural Bureau agents in tow.

Warning! Warning! An unidentified object is drawing near.

Ye Cheng's mind was invaded by a mechanical voice, prompting him to slap his head in irritation. What on earth had been implanted in his brain that kept making these sounds?

The lights in the internet cafe flickered ominously.

Wang Anshi stepped back as a staff member wielding a device announced, "Chief, there's a malevolent presence on the second floor of the cafe."

The second floor?

Wang Anshi instinctively looked up, just in time to catch a fleeting shadow, too quick to discern.

"Ding dong, I have a secret I'd like to share with you."

A haunting tune filled the cafe. Ye Cheng, puzzled, followed the sound to computer No. 44, where he found a music box.

Having never encountered a music box during his time in the mental hospital, Ye Cheng's curiosity was piqued. He picked it up, and the icy touch sent a shiver down his spine.

A fridge! It had to be a fridge!

Ye Cheng stumbled upon something intriguing and hoisted the music box above his head, exclaiming with excitement, "I found a fridge!"

Wang Anshi glanced over at Ye Cheng, only to see him gripping a music box. He was at a loss for words. As he was about to approach, a staff member from the Supernatural Bureau hastily pulled him back.

"Director, what he's holding belongs to that little girl!"

The staff member's tablet pulled up a news story about a girl who had passed away in an internet cafe. In her final moments, she had been clutching a music box and a doll.

The adage 'a newborn calf isn't afraid of a tiger' couldn't be more apt.

"Ye Cheng, discard what you're holding!" Wang Anshi commanded sternly.

Discard it? Why would he discard such a treasure? He was already considering taking it home for a spin.
