C8 Lin Yuan

"Sister Bai Ya, I didn't mean to..."

Bai Ling, the first to rise, caught sight of Bai Ya sprawled on top of Zhang Yang. Her snug business skirt had torn from the force of her movements, revealing her pale, delicate thighs. She was so terrified that she began to stutter, realizing the magnitude of the trouble she'd caused.

Bai Ya felt sore and it took her a moment to become aware of her compromising position, face-to-face with Zhang Yang, his hand shockingly on her chest. She let out a shriek and quickly scrambled off him, clutching her chest and shooting Bai Ling an incensed glare.

Knowing she was at fault, Bai Ling hung her head, too afraid to utter a word.

Soon, she began to cry softly.

Bai Ya's anger melted away at the sight, and she knelt beside Bai Ling, tenderly stroking her hair.

"There, there, no more tears."

Consoled by Bai Ya, Bai Ling couldn't hold back any longer and burst into sobs, clinging to her sister.

"Sister, Zhang Yang doesn't know about my panda blood; he doesn't realize I can't afford to get hurt. Could you please forgive him? He's truly a good person."

Bai Ya cradled Bai Ling, her face etched with affection. Bai Ling had once suffered a severe hemorrhage as a child, and her rare panda blood type had nearly cost her life. Since then, Bai Ya had been vigilant about keeping her sister away from any potentially dangerous situations.

She then turned her gaze to Zhang Yang, puzzled by how he had managed to tame Bai Ling, the so-called Little Demon King, in just a single day.

Zhang Yang, overhearing the sisters, finally grasped why Bai Ya had been so upset about him taking Bai Ling to the street-side noodle shop.

He stood there, embarrassed, uncertain whether to stay or go, wondering if he should offer Bai Ya an apology.

Suddenly, the sound of a car pulling up broke the tension. A BMW X7 came to a halt outside the villa.

A man with an undercut hairstyle, dressed in an obviously high-end, bespoke suit, stepped out. Accompanying him were two men in black suits and sunglasses, looking every bit the part of bodyguards.

He was Lin Yuan, the son of a major shareholder of a local publicly traded company and its young CEO. He had been courting Bai Ya for nearly six months to no avail and had recently begun to turn his attentions to her sister, Bai Ling.

Bai Ya, I heard Bai Ling returned today, so I brought some top-grade chocolate from Switzerland, the Swiss Lotus, especially for her."

Lin Yuan carried the elegantly wrapped box, walking at a leisurely pace toward the courtyard, with two bodyguards maintaining a discreet distance of two and a half meters behind him, neither too close nor too far.

Lin Yuan was confident that this gesture would surely endear him to Bai Ling; after all, his research had revealed her fondness for chocolate.

But as he entered the courtyard, his expression froze. He caught sight of Bai Ya's Self-Portrait dress, which had ripped from the hem to high on her thigh, offering a glimpse of what lay beneath.

Bai Ya, noticing Lin Yuan's fixed stare, glanced down at her skirt and her cheeks turned a deep shade of red. Her attention had been so focused on Bai Ling that she had completely forgotten about the tear in her dress!

She quickly stood, clutching the ripped fabric with her right hand to prevent any further exposure.

"Bai Ya, your skirt..."

Lin Yuan began to inquire about the dress, but Bai Ya cut him off.

"Lin Yuan, what brings you to my home?"

He paused, then lifted the gift box in his hand, offering a slight smile. "Oh, I heard Ling Er returned from her international boarding school today, and I thought I'd bring her a present."

"If there's nothing else, I think I'll head out."

Zhang Yang, who had been standing awkwardly to one side, suddenly spoke up, eager to escape the uncomfortable situation.

But before Zhang Yang could take two steps, Lin Yuan signaled his bodyguards to block his path.

"Hold on a second, friend. I'd like to know what's going on with Bai Ya's skirt."

Lin Yuan had been aware of Zhang Yang's presence from the moment he walked in, and his constant attention on Bai Ya gave Lin Yuan the impression that Zhang Yang was somehow involved in the skirt incident.

"Friend? I don't believe we're acquainted, are we?"

Zhang Yang, stopped by the bodyguards, was visibly annoyed, feeling as though Lin Yuan was overstepping.

"Oh? So you're not close with Bai Ya?" Lin Yuan's smile took on a chilling edge.

"Not close, what of it?"

"Not close? So you're a stranger then? Bai Ya, is this guy here to cause trouble? Don't worry, I'm here. Asan, Ah Hu, teach him a lesson!"

Suddenly, Lin Yuan dramatically staged a scene, signaling his two bodyguards to charge at Zhang Yang.

Zhang Yang was caught off guard, never anticipating such a turn of events. The bodyguards moved with swift aggression; within seconds of Lin Yuan's command, they were upon him, delivering a punch to his stomach.

Bai Ya witnessed Lin Yuan's actions and frowned, yet she made no move to intervene.

Lin Yuan was heavily involved in business with her company, and she was unwilling to jeopardize that relationship over Zhang Yang. Despite recognizing Lin Yuan's ulterior motives and his poor acting, she reluctantly chose to tolerate it for the company's future prospects.

Besides, there was something about Zhang Yang that she found irksome; seeing him take a beating didn't bother her.

Bai Ling's reaction, however, was quite the opposite. Her face turned ashen. Initially, she thought Zhang Yang was rather foolish and outdated, but after spending the day with him, she had inexplicably grown fond of her 'big brother.'

He was the first person in years to treat her like a normal girl, a stark contrast to her family's overbearing concern.

"Stop it! What are you doing? Why are you bullying Mr. Zhang Yang?"

Her eyes, red from crying, brimmed with fresh tears.

She tried to rush over and stop the assault, but Bai Ya held her back, deeming it too dangerous. Bai Ya firmly prevented her from intervening, leaving her no choice but to stand at the villa's entrance, sobbing uncontrollably.

Zhang Yang grappled with the bodyguards. Though athletic, he was no match for the skilled duo, especially outnumbered. He quickly found himself at a severe disadvantage.

In an unexpected moment, a heavy punch landed on his face, causing him to stagger backward and collapse to the ground.

Seizing the opportunity, the bodyguards pinned Zhang Yang down and continued to pummel him.

Zhang Yang was now utterly defenseless.
