C5 I Missed You so Much
"Brother Kun, are we really just letting him walk away?" a security guard asked, clearly baffled.
Given Liu Kun's history, it was out of character for him to let anyone causing a scene at the Supreme Wealthy Class off so easily, especially given the extent of this commotion. The sight of the injured lying on the ground was evidence of the severity of the incident.
To make matters worse, the most severely injured was Gu Jun, the heir to the Xiangshi Group. If this situation wasn't handled properly, it could put Master Guu in a very difficult position.
"If we don't let him go, you'll all end up with broken arms and legs!" Liu Kun, his right hand still trembling behind his back, was in severe pain, a stark reminder that Ye Luo was far stronger than him.
"Take these people to the hospital immediately, make sure they get the best doctors. And get a car ready for me—I have to meet with Master Guu," Liu Kun commanded, his expression grim.
After leaving the Supreme Wealthy Class, Ye Luo carried Ann Xin straight to a nearby hotel and got a room.
Once they were inside, Ye Luo pressed several acupoints on Ann Xin's neck, and she began to wake from her daze.
Ann Xin was feverish, her body reacting as though it had been seared by fire. As she came to, she started to tear at her clothes without thinking.
"Ye Luo, how are you here?" Ann Xin wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her body rubbing against his without control.
"There's a lot to explain. I'll fill you in later," Ye Luo said, a note of helplessness in his voice.
"Ye Luo, I... I really want to..." She couldn't finish her sentence.
"Seriously? I've only been reborn for less than an hour, and I'm about to lose my first kiss?" Ye Luo thought to himself with a bitter smile.
If Ye Luo still possessed his previous strength, he would have had a hundred ways to counteract the drug in Ann Xin's system, but at the moment, that seemed impossible.
Ye Luo quickly calmed himself, carried Ann Xin into the bathroom, and turned the cold shower on full blast, splashing her face with the freezing water.
It was a crude and direct method, but it was indeed the fastest way to bring Ann Xin back to her senses. Fortunately, it was just a common sedative; had it been something stronger, the situation would have been much more complex.
The frigid water cascaded over Ann Xin's feverish body, generating a dense mist as it enveloped her. Her clothes, now thoroughly soaked, rendered the scene somewhat risqué.
Ye Luo let out a wry smile. Using such an extreme method to awaken Ann Xin was a necessity he hadn't wanted to resort to. Not only had Ann Xin suffered, but he was also in distress, anxious about her impending reaction.
After a few minutes, Ann Xin calmed down. Ye Luo carried her to the bed in the room. He contemplated removing her wet clothes but hesitated and ultimately refrained. Instead, he simply used a towel to pat her dry. Just as he was about to turn on the air conditioning, Ann Xin came to.
"Ye Luo? Where are we? What happened?" Ann Xin inquired, her voice quivering as she noticed her drenched body and the torn dress. Recollections of being forced to drink at the Supreme Wealthy Class caused her to panic, fearing the worst but not daring to finish the thought.
"Don't worry, you're safe," Ye Luo comforted her, affectionately stroking her face—a face he had not seen for a thousand years. He had sealed away all memories of Ann Xin, buried them deep within his heart, out of reach until this moment. Seeing her now, all the pent-up yearning and love surged forth, nearly driving him to madness.
Ye Luo briefly explained what had transpired at the Supreme Wealthy Class. Ann Xin covered her mouth in disbelief when she heard she had been drugged. She was horrified at the thought of what could have happened if Ye Luo hadn't appeared.
The realization that her best friend had betrayed her, almost leading her to an irreversible disaster, chilled her to the core.
"Ann Xin, you can rest easy. As long as I'm here, no one will ever hurt you again. I'll make sure anyone who tries, anyone who dares to bully you, will pay a price they cannot endure. I promise," Ye Luo said, his voice tender yet filled with an unshakeable determination.
Listening to Ye Luo's voice and seeing his authoritative demeanor, Ann Xin felt a shift in him—a change that brought a sense of comfort and security.
Ann Xin was one of the few who showed Ye Luo genuine care, even going so far as to actively pursue a connection with him. Despite her efforts, Ye Luo consistently kept his distance, rarely initiating conversation.
However, the Ye Luo standing before her now radiated confidence, his commanding presence wrapped in an enigmatic aura that was elusive and compelling.
"Ye Luo, why are you staring at me like that?" Ann Xin noticed the intensity in Ye Luo's gaze.
"Ann Xin, I've missed you so much!" Suddenly, Ye Luo stretched out his arms and pulled Ann Xin into a tight embrace.
Surprised by his sudden gesture, Ann Xin was puzzled. The Ye Luo she knew would have dodged even a simple hand-hold. Yet, now in his arms, she felt a sense of security she had never known before.
"Hehe, what's this about? We've only been apart for half a day, and you're already missing me this much?" Ann Xin laughed softly, allowing herself to be held by Ye Luo.
"Yes," Ye Luo nodded emphatically. "It may have been just half a day, but for me, it felt like an eternity... a thousand years long."
His voice trembled slightly as he spoke, revealing his deep emotions. The girl he had once been too timid to embrace was now finally in his arms.
"Hmph, since when did you become such a charmer? Where did you learn to talk like that?" she teased.
"I'm being honest," Ye Luo replied, letting go of Ann Xin, suddenly aware that he might have been too impulsive.
"By the way, you mentioned Xue Lan drugged me. Did I do anything... strange?" Ann Xin asked, biting her lip with a bashful look.
Ye Luo's mind raced back to Ann Xin's earlier boldness—tearing at her clothes, exposing her cute bra, and kissing him with fervor.
"Cough cough, it was all fine, totally fine," Ye Luo said with an awkward laugh.
"So, you didn't take advantage of the situation?" Ann Xin asked, her smile playful and teasing.
Ye Luo felt a bit awkward and wasn't sure how to respond. On one hand, he did feel a bit restless and, after all, he had lost his first kiss. On the other hand, he couldn't truly say there were feelings there.
"Hehe, I'm just teasing you. I know you're not that kind of person," she said with a playful giggle.
"Oh, Ye Luo, I... I need to go to the hospital. My mom's still waiting for me," Ann Xin's face suddenly turned somber, a hint of distress showing through.
Ye Luo nodded in understanding. "Sure, I'll go with you. Also, your clothes are torn. Let's buy you a new one before we go."
