C5 I Miss You!

"Brother Kun, are we really just letting him walk away?" a perplexed security guard stepped forward to inquire.

Liu Kun's track record suggested he'd never let troublemakers from the Supreme Wealthy Class off the hook so easily, especially not with the scale of this disturbance. The injured sprawled on the ground were a testament to the severity of the situation.

Worse still, the most grievously injured turned out to be Gu Jun, the heir apparent of the Xiangshi Group. Mishandling this could put Master Guu in an extremely awkward position.

"If we don't let him go, you'll all end up with broken arms and legs!" Liu Kun, with his right hand behind his back, still shaking, felt the acute pain in his knuckles—a clear sign that Ye Luo was significantly more powerful than him.

"Get these people to the hospital now, and ensure they receive the best medical care. Also, have a car ready for me—I need to see Master Guu," Liu Kun ordered, his face dark with concern.

After Ye Luo carried Ann Xin out of the Supreme Wealthy Class, he headed straight to a nearby hotel and checked into a room.

Once inside, Ye Luo pressed on several acupoints on Ann Xin's neck, and she began to stir from her stupor.

Ann Xin's body was burning up, as if she had been scorched by flames. Barely awake, she instinctively began to tear at her clothes.

"Ye Luo, how did you end up here?" Ann Xin clung to his shoulders, her body uncontrollably seeking his.

"It's a long story. I'll explain later," Ye Luo replied, his voice tinged with resignation.

"Ye Luo, I... I really want to..." Her words trailed off.

"No way, this can't be happening. I've been reborn for less than an hour, and I'm about to lose my first kiss?" Ye Luo lamented inwardly.

If Ye Luo still had his former strength, he could have easily neutralized the drug affecting Ann Xin. But now, that wasn't an option.

Ye Luo quickly composed himself, scooped Ann Xin up, and carried her into the bathroom. He turned the shower to its coldest setting and doused Ann Xin's face with the icy water.

It was a harsh and blunt approach, but it was the quickest way to snap Ann Xin back to reality. Thankfully, it was only a mild sedative. A more potent substance would have complicated matters significantly.

The icy water crashed against Ann Xin's feverish body, creating a thick mist that rose into the air. With her clothes thoroughly drenched, the scene bordered on the indecent.

Ye Luo gave a wry smile. Resorting to such a drastic measure to rouse Ann Xin was a last resort. Not only had Ann Xin endured an ordeal, but he was also in agony, uncertain of how she would react.

After a few minutes, Ann Xin's agitation subsided. Ye Luo carried her to the bed in the room. He had intended to help her out of her soaked clothes, but after a moment's hesitation, he decided against it. Instead, he gently dried her off with a towel. As he was about to switch on the air conditioner, Ann Xin stirred awake.

"Ye Luo? Where are we? What happened?" Ann Xin's voice trembled as she took in her soaked state and the torn dress. Memories of being coerced to drink at the Supreme Wealthy Class flashed through her mind, and panic set in. She feared the worst but couldn't bear to complete the thought.

"Don't worry, you're safe," Ye Luo reassured her, tenderly caressing her face—a face he hadn't seen in a thousand years. He had locked away all memories of Ann Xin, buried deep within his heart, unreachable until now. Seeing her again unleashed a torrent of longing and love that nearly overwhelmed him.

Ye Luo recounted the events at the Supreme Wealthy Class, sparing no detail. Ann Xin's hand flew to her mouth in shock upon learning she had been drugged. If not for Ye Luo's timely intervention, she dreaded to think what might have happened.

The betrayal by her closest friend, who had nearly doomed her to a fate worse than death, left her feeling bitterly cold inside.

"Ann Xin, rest assured, as long as I'm here, no one will ever hurt you again. Anyone who dares to try, anyone who bullies you, will face consequences they can't bear. That's a promise," Ye Luo declared, his voice a blend of gentleness and unwavering resolve.

Hearing Ye Luo's words and witnessing his commanding presence, Ann Xin sensed a change in him—a difference that was palpable and reassuring.

Ye Luo had always been a loner, burdened by his orphan status and mediocre grades, which led to his reclusiveness and low self-esteem. He never fought back, even when bullied, making him an easy target for many.

Ann Xin was one of the few who showed Ye Luo genuine care, actively pursuing a connection with him. Yet, Ye Luo consistently evaded her, seldom engaging in conversation of his own accord.

But the Ye Luo standing before her now exuded confidence, his commanding presence cloaked in an enigmatic aura that was hard to pin down.

"Ye Luo, why are you staring at me like that?" Ann Xin noticed the intensity in Ye Luo's gaze.

"Ann Xin, I've missed you so much!" In an unexpected move, Ye Luo stretched out his arms and pulled Ann Xin into a tight embrace.

Caught off guard by the embrace, Ann Xin was taken aback—after all, the Ye Luo she knew would even shy away from holding hands. Yet, in his arms, she found a newfound sense of security she had never experienced before.

"Hehe, what's gotten into you? We've only been apart for half a day, and you already miss me this much?" Ann Xin said, her smile radiating as she remained in Ye Luo's hold.

"Yes," Ye Luo affirmed with a firm nod. "It may have been just half a day, but to me, it felt like a millennium... a thousand years long."

At that moment, Ye Luo's voice wavered, his emotions surfacing. The girl he had lacked the courage to embrace in his past life was now finally in his arms.

"Hmph, when did you become such a smooth talker? Where did you pick up those pretty words?" she teased.

"I'm being sincere," Ye Luo replied, releasing Ann Xin, realizing his forwardness might have been a bit much.

"By the way, you mentioned Xue Lan drugged me. Did I do anything... odd?" Ann Xin inquired, her lips pursed in a shy, embarrassed manner.

Ye Luo's mind flashed back to Ann Xin's bold actions earlier—tearing at her clothes, revealing her cute bra, and planting a forceful kiss on him.

"Cough cough, it was fine, all fine," Ye Luo chuckled awkwardly.

"So, you didn't take advantage of the situation?" Ann Xin asked with a mischievous smile.

Ye Luo was caught in an awkward spot, unsure of how to respond. To deny any feelings seemed disingenuous, especially since he couldn't deny a certain restlessness within him, not to mention his first kiss was no longer his. Yet, to admit to them didn't feel quite right either; in truth, Ye Luo didn't harbor any real feelings.

"Hehe, I'm just teasing you. I know you're not that type," she said with a playful giggle.

"Oh, Ye Luo, I... I need to go to the hospital. My mom's waiting for me," Ann Xin's expression suddenly shifted, a trace of worry crossing her features.

Ye Luo gave a reassuring nod. "Okay, I'll come with you. And about your clothes, they're torn. Let's stop and get you a new one first."

Glancing down, Ann Xin realized for the first time that her chest was inadvertently on display, her white undergarments peeking through. Her cheeks flushed a deep crimson in embarrassment.
