So the Six-Eared Macaque was a conspiracy, the Jade Emperor and Tathagata Buddha had always regarded Sun Wukong as a thorn in their side, and so they sent the Six-Eared Macaque to meet Wu Kong. When the Six-Eared Macaque met with the Buddha, he said that he was Wu Kong, and killed Wu Kong's true self.
