C2 You Are Wrong to Have All the Opportunities.

At 8:30 AM the next morning, outside the East River City Municipal Bureau, Lin Tian gazed at an impatient Xu Lili and, grasping her hand for one last attempt, said, "Lili, I wasn't lying to you yesterday. If we stay married, you can truly have everything you desire."

"Let go!" Xu Lili snapped, her face twisted with disgust as she wrenched her hand away. "Lin Tian, I wanted us to part on good terms, with dignity. But you just don't get it, clinging on for no reason. Well, don't blame me for what comes next!"

She gestured across the street just as a thunderous engine roar filled the air.

A sleek white Mercedes-Benz coupe raced toward them, its tires screeching as it skidded to a halt, leaving black streaks on the pavement.

The car door swung open, revealing shiny leather shoes, followed by a portly, designer-clad middle-aged man stepping out.

"Manager Hu?" Lin Tian's brow furrowed at the sight of the familiar figure—Hu Yong, the deputy general manager of the company he and Xu Lili worked for.

"Lin, love can't be forced. It's time to let go, for the good of everyone involved. I suggest you make a clean break and divorce Lili quickly," Hu Yong advised with a smug grin.

Before Lin Tian could question Hu Yong's audacity, Xu Lili sidled up to him, her face softening as she cozied up in his embrace. Hu Yong's greasy, pudgy hands began to slide over her waist with possessive ease.

Lin Tian's eyes narrowed, his chiseled features hardening with a cold fury. The truth hit him like a punch to the gut.

So this was why Xu Lili was so desperate for a divorce.

He laughed—a bright, clear laugh that held no trace of anger. Instead, he felt a sense of liberation, a profound sense of release washing over him.

He stepped forward, his gaze piercing as he looked at Xu Lili and Hu Yong with scorn. "This is your prince charming? Congratulations, Xu Lili. It's a pity, though, you've just passed up the chance to have the whole world."

With that, Lin Tian turned on his heel and strode into the Civil Affairs Bureau. Divorce, unlike marriage, was straightforward and swift.

In under ten minutes, Lin Tian and Xu Lili emerged separately. Hu Yong, waiting outside, excitedly scooped Xu Lili into his arms, spinning her around as he gloated, "My darling, I'm thrilled you've finally freed yourself from that loser."

Xu Lili, beaming with delight, planted a kiss on Hu Yong's greasy cheek. "Honey, I'm so happy to be rid of that pathetic dweeb."

She then turned to Lin Tian with a haughty air, pointing at the Mercedes-Benz. "Lin Tian, you spineless fool, you had the nerve to say I missed out on owning the world? Pah! You're the one living in a fantasy. See this car? This is the luxury ride my husband gifted me. Can you even afford something like this?"

Hu Yong looked at Lin Tian with a sneer of contempt, laughing mockingly, "Him? Haha, a security guard as broke as he is could barely afford one tire of my car with a year's pay."

Boom!

A fierce and formidable presence erupted from Lin Tian.

He turned slowly, his eyes—deep, icy, and utterly devoid of emotion—glanced over Xu Lili before fixing on Hu Yong's face.
