C18 I'll Make You Pay a Hefty Price!

Rumors had been swirling about the Taekwondo celebrity's return to Irethhone University, challenging Chen Hao, who had recently become the talk of the campus. Curiosity drew crowds to the gymnasium, and notably, a majority were female students. Chen Hao had already caught the attention of many within Irethhone University's female circles. Meanwhile, Bai Feng was the heartthrob who had made his name beyond the university walls, with numerous girls on-site vocally supporting him.

Chu Mu and Bai Feng had arrived early at the gymnasium. As they watched students trickle in, Chu Mu scoffed, "Only ten minutes left. The kid's probably too scared to show up."

Bai Feng just chuckled, unconcerned. Whether Chen Hao showed up or not was irrelevant to him; it would only mean a slight delay in his plans.

As the clock struck seven, members of the martial club made their entrance, with Chen Hao walking among them, his expression indifferent as if the upcoming challenge was of no consequence to him.

"Well, look who actually showed up. Kid, you've got guts," Chu Mu taunted.

"My fists are tougher than my guts. Care to test them?" Chen Hao retorted, his fists ready. Chu Mu's face flushed with a mix of anger and embarrassment as he stepped back behind Bai Feng, then urged, "Let's get this over with. I've got dinner plans."

Bai Feng, ever the gentleman, replied with a graceful smile, "I've heard the hospital serves a decent meal. It shouldn't disappoint our junior, Chen Hao."

"Rest assured, you'll soon get a firsthand taste, not just hearsay."

Both maintained their composure, but the tension in the air was palpable. Suddenly, a voice cut through the charged atmosphere. "Enough!" shouted someone from the stands. All eyes turned to find Mo Huaixi standing up, her voice directed at Chu Mu, "Chu Mu, can't you take a hint? I'm not interested in you, not interested, not interested – I've said it three hundred times! Yet you keep buzzing around me. What are you, a fly?"

"Uh," Chu Mu's face contorted with displeasure.

Wasn't Mo Huaixi's public rebuke akin to a slap in his face?

But she wasn't done yet. Catching her breath, Mo Huaixi continued, "Let me make it clear, I already have someone I like. Besides being slightly richer, you're worthless to me. Do you really think I'm after your money? From now on, keep your distance from me and my man, Chen Hao. If you pull any more underhanded tricks on him, I won't be polite!"

"I..." Chu Mu squirmed as if he had swallowed a fly.

He wasn't the only one squirming; Chen Hao's face was equally ashen.

He had clearly seen who was sitting next to Mo Huaixi—Jiang Shi!

Jiang Shi must have known about Mo Huaixi's feelings for him.

But Mo Huaixi's words were more than just a confession; her declaration of "my man" was dangerously easy to misinterpret.

Given her status as the campus belle, no one would take her words as a mere joke or delusion.

Meanwhile, Chu Mu, fuming with rage, barked, "Attack, beat this scoundrel to a pulp!"

"Heh, killing him would be a crime, but maiming him..." Bai Feng's smile turned sinister.

Chen Hao glanced at Jiang Shi, whose expression remained as serene as a still lake, which only heightened his anxiety.

Turning away, he sighed, "Let's get this over with. I'm pressed for time."

"Don't worry, I'll make it quick and not too painful for you," Bai Feng assured.

When not provoked, Bai Feng was the epitome of a gentleman.

But once faced with a rival, he transformed into a ruthless scoundrel.

Without a signal to begin, Bai Feng lunged mid-sentence.

His powerful legs swept toward Chen Hao's head—a blow that could easily cause a concussion.

"Going for a leg attack?" Chen Hao withdrew his raised fist.

Thud!

A shadow was sent flying, skidding across the polished floor for ten meters before crashing into the perimeter fence.

The aluminum barrier buckled inwards, and the figure on the ground didn't rise for a full three seconds, lying motionless as if lifeless.

Chen Hao lowered his foot and addressed Chu Mu, "You're not taking him to the hospital?"

Chu Mu snapped back to reality, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He had paid a hefty sum to bring Bai Feng on board, never expecting him to be so weak. Or maybe, Chen Hao was just that formidable.

"Fine, fine, you're incredible!" Chu Mu, through clenched teeth, warned, "This isn't over yet, just you wait!"

With that, he and his entourage supported Bai Feng and headed towards the infirmary. It was only then that the crowd erupted into enthusiastic applause.
