C2 Strange Wild Boar!
Chen Hao recognized the trio with a sense of familiarity. It took a moment, but he realized they were the same guys who frequently hassled him.
The ringleader, known as Mr. Ma, was a notorious troublemaker in the area.
Chen Hao had no prior dealings with him until a few months back when he had, as usual, turned down a younger student's romantic advances. That student turned out to be Mr. Ma's sister, and since then, Mr. Ma had taken it upon himself to make Chen Hao's life difficult.
"Kid, I figured you'd be laid up in the hospital for a few more days, leaving us brothers bored out of our minds. Looks like you're pretty considerate, after all," Mr. Ma swaggered over, slinging an arm around Chen Hao's shoulder with a grin. "Look at that handsome face of yours. It'd be a shame to see it all bruised and swollen. But don't you worry, we'll be gentle. Wouldn't want to upset my little sis by messing up your pretty face."
"Haha, why bother with the small talk, Mr. Ma? This guy's loaded. I bet he's got a wad of cash on him right now, and we could use the extra dough," one of the cronies chimed in with a chuckle.
Initially, Mr. Ma and his crew were just looking to settle a score on behalf of his sister.
However, they soon found out that Chen Hao's parents were scientists and that he was their only son living in Irethhone, receiving a generous allowance each month.
So, whenever they needed money, they'd come knocking on Chen Hao's door.
Standing at an impressive 1.8 meters, Chen Hao was still just a regular college student. These seasoned thugs knew the system well; a call to the police would only put them away for a few days at most. They were untouchable, and Chen Hao had learned that the hard way.
"So, what's it gonna be? Are we gonna have to get rough, or are you gonna cough up the cash?" Mr. Ma reached out to pat Chen Hao's cheek, only to have his wrist seized.
"Hmm? Kid, looks like you never learn your lesson!" Mr. Ma growled, winding up for a kick.
But in a swift move, Chen Hao twisted at an angle, sending a searing pain through Mr. Ma's wrist. In an instant, he was on his knees, howling in agony.
Chen Hao's expression was icy as he addressed the other two, "Come here, both of you."
"Damn, you're asking for it!"
They charged at him together.
They thought they knew how to handle Chen Hao. The last time, he had fortuitously grabbed a steel pipe, prompting them to be a bit more vicious. Usually, Chen Hao had no chance to fight back.
Seconds later, the alley echoed with two more agonized screams.
Chen Hao dusted off his hands and strolled out of the alley as if nothing unusual had occurred, heading towards his home.
In his wake, three individuals clutched at their stomachs and wrists, wailing pitifully.
What baffled them was how Chen Hao appeared to exert no effort, yet they inexplicably collapsed in pain, unable to even stand without wincing.
"Damn, the kid must have picked up a few tricks!" Once they caught their breath, Mr. Ma, leaning against the wall, cursed, "Screw this, let's round up some more guys. I won't rest until he's finished!"
Unaware and unconcerned that he was a target, Chen Hao arrived home and casually switched on the TV.
The local evening news was on, reporting, "A mutant wild boar has been discovered in XX County, X Village. It's hairless, significantly larger than a typical adult wild boar, and even its hooves have grown sharp claws. Our reporters, along with city Animal Bureau experts, are on-site to unveil the mystery of this bizarre creature. Stay tuned for the full story..."
The broadcast cut to the wild boar, bound to a post, glaring into the camera with blood-red eyes and letting out a fierce roar.
Chen Hao shut off the TV, his expression darkening.
"It seems... I've merely been reborn."
