C5 I Don't Care

"Young man, how did you discern that this Longjing tea was poisoned?" The elder's gaze landed on Xing Mo, tinged with a trace of astonishment.

"I have nothing to disclose," Xing Mo replied, having settled back into his seat, eyes closed.

"Nothing to disclose? Hmph, with your certainty, I'm beginning to suspect you're the one who laced the Longjing with poison, just to create a mystery," Ye Wushuang accused, her face clouded with displeasure.

"Uncle Fu, consider this – isn't it too much of a coincidence that he's seated right next to us? And with just one look, he declares the Longjing tea poisoned. It's utterly inconceivable," Ye Wushuang continued, her tone dripping with self-righteousness.

With all these coincidences laid out before her, Xing Mo would have to be divine to have detected the poison in the tea.

"Miss Wushuang, please, let's not be hasty," Uncle Fu interjected, trying to soothe the situation.

"Young man, Miss Wushuang has a point. I need you to explain yourself," Uncle Fu demanded, his demeanor pressing.

"Explain? On what grounds? The world is full of mysteries! Do you expect to unravel each one?" Xing Mo retorted, his voice laced with scorn.

He had merely offered a casual warning today, yet it had drawn unwarranted suspicion upon him.

"Uncle Fu, you hear this? The boy is clearly up to no good! He has no intention of explaining himself! I think it's time you taught him a lesson, to bring him to his senses," Ye Wushuang, who had been simmering with irritation, finally burst out in anger.

It was well-known that the Ye family ranked among the elite in Luton and the wider Penketh. But since her parents perished in a plane crash, the weight of the family legacy had fallen squarely on Ye Wushuang's shoulders.

"Do as you please," Xing Mo responded indifferently, uninterested in further debate.

The Uncle Fu before him was, at best, a master of Secret Strength.

In the martial arts journey, whether one wielded Clear-strength, Secret Strength, or even reached the level of a Transformation Strength Grandmaster, they remained within the bounds of human capability.

Though he was reborn and currently possessed only the mid-level strength of the Ascended Stage, Xing Mo was still a being that transcended the ordinary.

Uncle Fu's anger was simmering. The young man before him had definitely shown up under suspicious circumstances!

Having guarded Ye Wushuang for years, he couldn't afford any failure.

Thus, regardless of this young man's motives, Uncle Fu was determined not to let him off the hook.

Besides, he was known as the Towering King of Luton, with skills ranked among the city's finest. Now, being dismissed so casually by Xing Mo, he truly felt belittled.

"Kid, today I'll teach you a lesson! No matter who you are, you'd better vanish from my sight," Ye Wushuang said, unable to suppress a chuckle as she noticed Uncle Fu's rising fury.

The disciples from the Jade Treasury could feel the tension in the air and moved to intervene. But one look at the bodyguards behind Ye Wushuang stopped them in their tracks – they didn't dare advance another step!

Clearly, they recognized the formidable influence of the Ye Family in Luton – not a force to be reckoned with lightly!

"Who is that kid? Is he blind? Did he really just cross the Ye Family?"

"Who has ever dared to mess with the Qin Family over the years? This guy must have the audacity of a bear and the boldness of a leopard!"

The onlooking disciples from the Jade Treasury shook their heads in dismay at Xing Mo.

Anyone could see Uncle Fu's wrath, yet Xing Mo remained nonchalant, lounging on the sofa as if he hadn't a care in the world.

This only fanned the flames of Uncle Fu's rage!

Never before in Luton had he been so disrespected.

And by such a young man, no less!

"Well then, let this old man give you the lesson you're asking for!" Uncle Fu declared, and with a swift motion, he launched a punch towards Xing Mo's chest!

The punch carried the ferocity of a tiger and the might to move mountains.

Some guests in the hall averted their eyes, unable to watch.

It was easy to imagine that such a blow would leave Xing Mo screaming in pain, spitting blood.

The scene was set for brutality.

Yet as the punch hurtled towards Xing Mo's chest, he didn't flinch or dodge. Astonishingly, he didn't even bother to rise from his reclined position on the sofa.

Even Ye Wushuang couldn't help but shake her head at this moment. She was well aware of Uncle Fu's capabilities; a punch from him could easily knock the boy unconscious.

"This is it. With that punch, the kid's a goner for sure!"

"Has the kid been scared stiff? How could he forget to dodge?"

The disciples of the Jade Treasury couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret for a young man like Xing Mo.

But to everyone's astonishment, Uncle Fu's fist halted abruptly, stopping less than ten centimeters from Xing Mo's chest.

No way! Am I seeing things?

The crowd vigorously rubbed their eyes, and this time, they were certain.

Xing Mo hadn't budged an inch. He stood there, calm and collected, seemingly indifferent to Uncle Fu's formidable punch.

And that punch, fierce as a tiger, seemed to be stopped by an unseen barrier, frozen in place, unable to advance even slightly.

A look of shock spread across Uncle Fu's face, his eyes wide with terror.

He couldn't fathom how his decades of training, having reached the Early Period of the Secret Strength Stage, were being completely disregarded by the young man before him.

Manifesting inner strength to the point of harming with the mere flick of a leaf – that was a feat only a Transformation Grandmaster could achieve.

"Uncle Fu, what are you doing? Hit him! Teach the kid a lesson!" Ye Wushuang, thinking Uncle Fu was showing mercy, couldn't help but shout out in urgency.

But she herself had trained for decades without reaching the Transformation Grandmaster Stage, and this kid was barely in his twenties.

How was this possible?

Uncle Fu gritted his teeth, his reluctance palpable.

He gathered all his inner strength into his right fist once more and struck with renewed force.

Yet the outcome remained unchanged.

His fist stayed put, motionless as before.

Uncle Fu's complexion turned ashen as he quickly backed away.

If he didn't withdraw now, he would be the one to suffer.

Despite his reluctance, his years in the martial world had taught him the wisdom of self-preservation.

Retreating hastily, Uncle Fu stood next to Ye Wushuang, his face ghostly pale.

He had roamed Luton for many years, but he had never experienced such an embarrassing defeat as he had today.

Looking up at Xing Mo, his eyes conveyed a mix of astonishment and bewilderment.

Yet, Xing Mo did not press his advantage.

He found himself intrigued by Ye Wushuang and this elder known as Uncle Fu—two figures absent from his past life.

This life had brought unexpected turns, which he found quite fascinating.

"Many thanks, young master, for your leniency," Uncle Fu expressed, his heart filled with sincere gratitude as he thanked Xing Mo.

"Uncle Fu, have them all attack at once; I refuse to accept this!" Ye Wushuang, feeling her pride sting as Uncle Fu stepped back, gestured emphatically and called out.

The sight of Xing Mo's indifferent demeanor only fanned the flames of rage within her.
