C18 Radar Warning

"That's outrageous! It's clearly an overbearing clause. We can report them!" Yang Manman fumed.

"It won't make a difference. The crowd here is teeming with high-ranking officials. They all pay without a fuss; what can we possibly do against that?" Hua Junliang responded with a sense of resignation.

Director Zhang, who had just been conversing with Hua Junliang, had already approached the Rescould Pavilion's reception and dutifully handed over the 50,000 yuan entrance fee.

"Let's just drop it. We don't have that kind of money. We shouldn't even bother going in," Lyu Huan suggested.

The sight of so many dignitaries had already sparked the idea of leaving in Lyu Huan's mind. Now faced with the steep entrance fee, her reluctance to enter only grew.

"Hey, weren't you interested in buying a house here? What's the matter, can't cough up 50,000 yuan?" Zhang Chunhe's voice taunted them once again.

"Just a moment ago you were putting on airs, and now you can't even afford the entrance fee. What kind of big shot does that make you?" Xu Jianhua added, barely containing his laughter.

Xu Jianhua's memories took him back to when he followed his mother into the city as a child. Lyu Huan had been exceptionally kind to them, but Xu Jianhua and Zhang Chunhe, mother and son, had interpreted her generosity as mere showboating. Far from being grateful, they harbored resentment.

Yang Manman was seething with anger, yet faced with the stark reality, she was at a loss for words.

Lyu Huan remained silent, her head bowed, as she hurriedly tried to usher her daughter away.

Hua Junliang and his wife, Qin Yanfen, shook their heads in silent frustration and made their way to the parking lot.

Despite the Rescould Pavilion's entrance fee being akin to a tyrannical demand, it was a requirement for all—there was no question of fairness. The only fault lay in not earning enough money to afford the fee.

"Who says we can't get in?" A voice suddenly called out from behind.

Turning around, they saw Yang Yu arriving with sisters Hua Yuyan and Hua Yushi in tow.

The sisters Hua Yuyan and Hua Yushi, though striking in appearance and neatly dressed, were clearly wearing inexpensive clothing.

Yang Yu was clad in clothes that screamed street market, not at all fitting the image of someone wealthy.

Lee Ruoshui, trailing close behind the trio, was decked out in designer brands. Yet, in the midst of the current scene, she might as well have been any other bystander. No one would guess she was Yang Yu's companion, let alone his assistant.

"Yu, let's head out," Lyu Huan, his mother, called out, her eyes betraying a hint of reproach.

Had it not been for Yang Yu, she wouldn't have set foot in Rescould Pavilion, nor would she have encountered Zhang Chunhe and suffered such indignity.

"Ah, this is your son? Young folks today sure have their ways. The entrance to Rescould Pavilion is right over there. Go on, hurry inside!" Zhang Chunhe's words dripped with insincerity.

Upon hearing this, Yang Yu took his mother by the hand and strode toward the Pavilion's entrance.

Zhang Chunhe and Xu Jianhua, sensing the brewing drama, eagerly followed suit.

At the entrance, Yang Yu addressed the staff, "We'd like to enter."

The staff gave the group a cursory glance before busying themselves with other tasks, leaving them with a curt, "Entry is fifty thousand yuan per person. No money, no entry."

As Yang Yu bristled with anger, Lee Ruoshui quickly stepped forward and murmured something to the staff.

Their demeanor shifted instantly, and they ushered Yang Yu in with an apologetic, "Mr. Yang, my apologies!"

With the crowd watching in astonishment, Yang Yu led the Hua family of four, his mother, sister, and assistant Lee Ruoshui, a party of eight, through the doors of the Rescould Pavilion with an air of confidence.

The onlookers were dumbfounded. The Pavilion's audacious entry fee of fifty thousand yuan per person was enough to deter many. Yet, despite the steep price, people were eager to gain entry.

After all, when stacked against the potential millions in real estate, fifty thousand yuan was a mere drop in the bucket.

Moreover, if they purchased a property, the fifty thousand yuan would simply go towards the down payment. For genuine homebuyers, this would have no impact whatsoever.

The catch, however, was that Rescould Pavilion's policies applied to everyone equally. Numerous dignitaries, business moguls, and stars from the entertainment industry had no choice but to dutifully pay up to gain entry.

Yet, Yang Yu alone seemed to have been granted a special exemption, not having to pay any fees at all.

"You can get in without paying!" Upon witnessing this, Zhang Chunhe quickly grabbed her son, Xu Jianhua, and attempted to tailgate Yang Yu, hoping to slip by unnoticed.

But Rescould Pavilion's reception and security were formidable, and they promptly intercepted Zhang Chunhe and her husband.

"Excuse me, you'll need to pay the entrance fee," the greeter informed them.

"I'm with them. Lyu Huan, sister, tell them to let us in too!" Zhang Chunhe pleaded, her tone shifting to one of flattery as she called out to Lyu Huan.

Lyu Huan glanced back with a look of disdain.

Yang Yu, on the other hand, was resolute. He addressed the greeter firmly, "We don't know these people."

With that, he took his mother by the hand and walked away.

Fuming with rage, Zhang Chunhe was powerless to do anything. She begrudgingly muttered at Lyu Huan's retreating figure, "What's there to be smug about? Knowing a few people isn't that impressive. I have money and can get in just the same. Without money, you won't be able to do anything inside anyway!"

After begrudgingly forking over an entrance fee of 100,000 yuan, Zhang Chunhe and Xu Jianhua finally made their way into Rescould Pavilion.

Meanwhile, as Yang Yu and his group had just entered the pavilion, he noticed something—the gray icon of the System Devastator was once again gleaming with a golden light.

Yang Yu immediately understood that it was the pre-alert signal from the System Devastator's radar, indicating the presence of a System Host nearby.

However, when he tried to switch modes and reload the System Devastator, a message from the system halted him, "A friendly reminder from the Super Rich System: The host has an incomplete mission and cannot switch systems at this time."

Hearing this, Yang Yu quickly checked the Super Rich System's mission panel, only to discover that a new daily mission had been added.

"Daily Task: The Creditor's Day. You must spend $50 million before midnight tomorrow. Success will earn you 5,000 system coins, while failure will result in a deduction of 10,000 system coins!"

"Damn, when did I pick up another daily task?" Yang Yu muttered to himself, feeling a mix of frustration and disbelief. Spending money was thrilling, but when stacked against the System Devastator, the Super Rich System paled in comparison.

The true joy, Yang Yu knew, lay in demolishing the systems of others. He wouldn't be swayed by the Super Rich System's alluring 'siren' appearance and forget his steadfast 'old flame,' the System Devastator.

Had it not been for stumbling upon Anill Live yesterday, completing the daily task would've been impossible.

The stakes were higher today, the task more daunting. To Yang Yu, the thought of spending $50 million was beyond comprehension.

The real kicker? Failing to fulfill the Super Rich System's daily task meant he couldn't revert to the System Devastator mode.

Fun as the Super Rich System was, Yang Yu was clear on one thing: his true power stemmed from the System Devastator. He couldn't afford to chase after the trivial at the expense of the essential.

Plus, by stepping back into the System Devastator, he might capture an even mightier system, possibly more captivating than the Super Rich System.

His current plan was straightforward: spend the required $50 million swiftly to regain access to the System Devastator mode.

Any hesitation and the Host picked up by the radar might slip through his fingers.

Meanwhile, in the VIP lounge, Su Miaoyun abruptly rose to her feet, peering intently downstairs. Her gaze soon settled on Yang Yu.

"Do you think it's him as well?" a male voice inquired from beside her. Su Miaoyun looked up to find the world champion, Sun Jun, standing there.

Sun Jun wasn't traditionally handsome, but his well-defined features, honed by years of athletic training, gave him a striking presence.

Su Miaoyun gave a slight nod. "My hunch is he's one of us."

"It seems I need to do some digging," chimed in the formidable female Grandmaster, Qu Rumeng.

"No need for that, Mr. Deng is already on it," chuckled a sleazy-looking bald middle-aged man.
