C1 My Toptier Female Superior

My name is Zhang Lia, and I work as a security guard at a company.

There's a woman here, Zhong Ling, who is as stunning as she is flirtatious. Whenever she walks into the office, she's invariably flanked by a pack of male colleagues, each one eyeing her like a wolf on the prowl. It's clear from their gazes exactly what they're after with her.

As a guy, I can't help but take in the sight of her too, especially when she's wearing those black stockings that showcase her long legs. But let's be real, there's a chasm between our social standings, so the chances of anything happening are slim to none.

Daydreaming aside, I don't harbor any serious intentions. I mean, I'm just the lowly security guard.

One day, I noticed Zhong Ling being fawned over by her usual entourage of colleagues, acting like a bunch of sycophants, carrying her bags and showering her with compliments. My eyes, naturally, were drawn to her face, where I spotted a small scratch on her Health Palace and a tiny black dot on her Spouse Palace. These signs suggested that Zhong Ling had been overindulging recently, and it seemed to be taking a toll on her health. If she continued this way, her vital energy could be at risk.

But then I thought, engaging in normal intimate relations wouldn't deplete someone's energy to such an extent. Could it be that Zhong Ling was entangled with something supernatural?

If her energy were to be completely drained, it could be life-threatening. Even though Zhong Ling's troubles shouldn't concern me, I couldn't turn a blind eye to a life-and-death situation.

After wrestling with my conscience, I decided to approach her.

"Excuse me, miss," I called out, instantly drawing the attention of her male admirers.

"What is it?" she asked.

I hesitated for a moment before speaking, "You might want to take it easy and look after your health a bit more. Just to avoid any... mishaps."

"What are you implying?" she inquired, a hint of defensiveness in her voice.

I took a breath and said candidly, "Maybe cut back on your... intimate activities." The words were out before I could stop them.

My words instantly brought a blush to Zhong Ling's cheeks as she retorted with a mix of embarrassment and anger, "What are you babbling about, you stinky security guard?"

Her male colleagues, witnessing the scene, quickly jumped to her defense. "Watch your mouth, you sorry excuse for a security guard," one of them snapped.

"Have you lost your desire to work here? You think you can just insult our goddess?" another chimed in.

"And you, trying to hit on our girls with that attitude? Why don't you look in the mirror first?" sneered another.

"I swear I'll file a complaint against you if you dare to mess with our goddess again," threatened another.

Surrounded by this pack of guard dogs, I was at a loss for words.

My gaze lingered on Zhong Ling as I said indifferently, "Believe it or not, that's your choice." Then, I turned on my heel and walked away. I had tried to do a good deed and ended up stirring up a hornet's nest, all because I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

The truth is, my question to Zhong Ling wasn't just idle curiosity. My grandfather was a highly skilled geomancer, and I had picked up a few tricks from him. He even entrusted me with a book titled "Zhang Family's Secret Geomancy Techniques," which I had studied diligently and found to be quite valuable.

When I had finally decided to learn more from him, my grandfather was already involved in a deeply mysterious geomancy array and, sadly, passed away shortly thereafter. His last words warned me against going to a place called Zhao Ditch and to be cautious of anyone with the Zhao surname. I thought he was out of his mind, speaking nonsense, so I didn't take his warnings seriously.

After he passed, with my academic performance lacking, I ended up here as a security guard, a job I've held for several years. I had never really used my geomancy skills for anyone, and this was the first time I had tried to use them for such a striking woman—only to be mocked.

But being mocked didn't bother me. I didn't let it get to me and just carried on with my job as a humble security guard.

What I didn't expect, however, was that around midnight, while I was on the night shift, I saw a disheveled woman running straight towards me.

When I took a closer look, I realized it was Zhong Ling.

Her expression was frantic, with her clothing failing to cover several parts of her body, rendering her appearance incredibly alluring.

My gaze involuntarily settled on her, and as I took in her sultry figure, I couldn't deny the surge of desire welling up inside me.

Zhong Ling made a beeline for the security room where I was the sole occupant.

"Help me, young security guard, please help me..." Her voice was tinged with desperation and panic.

"What do you need?" As the security guard here, it was my duty to assist, especially if the company's owner was in trouble.

I grabbed my electric baton and stepped out of the security room. Seeing Zhong Ling in such a state, I initially thought she might have been harassed.

But when I emerged, there was no one else in sight.

My attention returned to Zhong Ling, my eyes instinctively drawn to her voluptuous curves.

At that moment, Zhong Ling seemed oblivious to my gaze, her demeanor one of sheer panic, as if on the verge of tears.

"Young security guard, you were right. After your warning earlier today, I couldn't sleep. At around eleven, just as I closed my eyes, I felt someone pressing down on me, touching me incessantly. But when I opened my eyes, there was nothing. Please, you have to save me..."

Hearing her plea, I quickly pieced things together; she was in trouble and had come seeking my aid.

Yet, she had watched me be humiliated by a crowd earlier and hadn't said a word in my defense.

I couldn't help feeling irked.

After a brief pause, I replied, "Weren't you the one who didn't believe me? You even insulted me, calling me a 'stinky security guard.' I'm sorry, but I really can't help you with this."

Seeing my refusal, tears streamed down Zhong Ling's face, her distressed expression tugging at the heartstrings.

"You're not a stinky security guard; you're a good one. Please, security brother, I'm begging you to save me."

In that moment, with her long legs and pale arms exposed, she was a sight that could overwhelm the senses.

I responded coolly, "Don't you know there's no such thing as a free lunch in this world?"

No sooner had my words hit the air than Zhong Ling instinctively shielded her chest, eyeing me with a wary look.

I was momentarily at a loss for words. Sure, Zhong Ling was the epitome of allure, but I wasn't the type to expect someone to fend me off with their looks.

I wasn't after her charms; I was after her cash.

After a brief pause, I proposed, "I'm not opposed to helping you. Let's say you give me ten thousand yuan, and I'll take a look for you, deal?"

Zhong Ling's face flickered with uncertainty at my price. I worried I'd overstepped. But to my astonishment, she agreed without hesitation.

Her acceptance caught me off guard.

Seeing my nod, Zhong Ling pressed, "Security guy, can you come with me to my place now? I've been too scared to go back there by myself lately."

There was a pleading shimmer in her tear-filled eyes as she fixed her gaze on me.

When I didn't respond right away, Zhong Ling stepped closer, clutching my hand, shaking it gently, her voice taking on a coaxing tone.

If those jerks from before caught this display, they'd probably be seething with envy.

'Sexy' didn't even begin to cover it with her.

But I've never been one to play into such antics, so I relented, "Fine, I'll go back with you."

"However, I need to gather a few items first."

"What items?" Zhong Ling inquired.

Leaving the company behind, I hailed a cab and went home to collect some traditional items—candles, glutinous rice, and the like. I always kept a stash on hand.

Once I had everything, we made our way to Zhong Ling's residence.

I tried to get more details from her en route, but she was evasive, her answers unclear.

Arriving at Zhong Ling's place, I was taken aback. The European-style villa she called home sprawled over a vast area—surely a thousand square meters at least. Such a grand estate was beyond the means of an average worker.

The thought crossed my mind: was Zhong Ling being kept by someone?

It seemed likely. Given her seductive nature, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a man to want to take care of her.

Living in a villa and still clocking in at work? Was this the epitome of the old saying about playing the harlot but wanting a monument of virtue?

I was mulling this over, but the moment I stepped into the villa's courtyard, I froze, unable to take another step. Something about the villa just didn't sit right with me.

Zhong Ling noticed my abrupt halt and her expression tensed with concern. "Security brother, what's the matter?" she asked.

Snapping back to reality, I brushed it off with a casual, "It's nothing."

Together, we approached the villa's front door. Zhong Ling fished out a key, and I could sense unease creeping into her demeanor. She turned to me, her voice feather-light, "Zhang Lia, go in and have a look." It was clear to me that fear had taken hold of her.

I kept my thoughts to myself; her going in might just complicate things.

Taking the key, I unlocked the villa's door and was immediately met with a blast of chilly air.

After a brief hesitation, I stepped inside. The windows were wide open, yet not a whisper of a breeze could be felt indoors.

Something was off, and I couldn't shake the feeling that the house's geomancy might be to blame. After all, a house like this should have some airflow.

Most wealthy folks are particular about their homes facing from north to south for optimal light and favorable geomancy.

Zhong Ling's villa was positioned correctly, as I had noticed from outside, but the poor ventilation seemed to be a significant geomancy issue.

With that thought, I decided to step outside to assess the geomancy further.

But just as I was about to turn back, a chilling laugh echoed from behind me...
