It was a very old bridge, at least thousands of years old. The ancient stone slabs were filled with traces of human and animal steps, some deep and some shallow, some deep and some deep, some shallow, some deep, some six shallow and some deep, none definite.

There was a river under the bridge, with black, stinking water. No one would stay in this place for long because of the smell alone
