C13 The 13th Chapter Was All Done in One Go.

"Damn it, beat this mutt to a pulp!"

"I'm covered in it. Who the hell does this guy think he is? Unbelievable!"

The group of men and women yelled furiously. Wang Junwen didn't waste any time and cursed, "Just hit him, hit him until he can't get up, damn it."

With that command, his followers surged forward.

At this point, the worm joined in, sparing Luo Yun from having to lift a finger.

But before the group could strike, a challenging voice cut through the air, "What's going on here? You looking to start trouble?"

A towering bald man approached.

The sight of him made the group's bravado falter.

"Brother Tao!"

They suddenly became as docile as students in the presence of their teacher.

Wang Junwen's brow creased as he said, "Luo Tao, this really isn't your concern. This fool is my relative, we're handling our own family business. Why are you getting involved?"

"Oh, what's this? You got doused in piss?" The bald man recoiled in mock horror. "I couldn't care less if he's family or not. In my bar, you play by my rules. Settle your disputes with a drinking contest. Anyone who throws a punch, I'll break their arm!"

He swept his gaze over the crowd, and the young men and women quickly assured him they wouldn't dare.

Wang Junwen frowned deeper.

Luo Tao said, "Wang Junwen, don't say I never gave you a fair shot. He's made a mess of my bar, so I'll give you a slight edge. Your whole group against him alone, that seems fair, doesn't it?"

Hearing this, Wang Junwen smirked.

"Brother Tao, no problem at all. But this Luo Yun fool..."

He was all praises now that he had an advantage.

Luo Tao turned to Luo Yun, "Luo Yun, isn't it? Here's the deal: we settle conflicts with a drink-off. Loser pays the tab. Winner takes all. Are you in or out?"

"Sure, let's play," Luo Yun replied nonchalantly.

With a nod from Luo Tao, the bartender grabbed a microphone and announced, "Ladies and gents, we've got a drinking challenge! Drink up, but remember, the loser foots the bill. Before we start, let's clear some space for our contenders."

"Damn, nice! A drinking contest? Perfect timing!"

"Who's competing?"

Excited murmurs filled the air as Luo Yun took a seat at a table by the dance floor.

Luo Tao declared, "If there are no objections, let's get the drinks flowing."

"Make it quick, I'm going to drink this bastard under the table," Wang Junwen spat out.

The crowd then noticed the competitors seated at the table, prompting puzzled whispers.

"Wait, something seems off about that table."

"What's off? It's one guy against a whole crew!"

As the murmurs continued, barmaids brought over glasses and filled them with clear liquor.

Wang Junwen sneered, "Luo Yun, I'm giving you the choice. Who do you want to start with?"

"You," Luo Yun said simply, picking up a glass and pouring it onto the floor.

The worm paused, a wry smile on his face.

The first cup was always a tribute to fallen brothers.

Wang Junwen's eyebrows shot up, "What's the deal, Luo the Fool? We're here to drink with you, not watch you waste it. You..."

Luo Yun gave a subtle cue with his eyes before downing a cup of wine in one swift motion.

Without so much as a blink, he commanded, "Your turn."

"Not bad, it's got a kick," Wang Junwen remarked, a hint of surprise in his voice.

Chugging the potent white wine was enough to make anyone's throat burn.

He held his breath and followed suit, his face flushing red immediately after. It wasn't that he couldn't hold his liquor; he'd simply rushed it.

Luo Yun wasted no time, promptly pouring himself a third cup.

Wang Junwen's anxiety grew with each drink. By the fourth cup, he was visibly struggling.

"Young Master Wang, shall I take over?"

"No... damn it, I'm determined to beat this kid today. One more cup for me!" Wang Junwen clenched his teeth and powered through.

Luo Yun remained unfazed.

After they both knocked back another cup, Wang Junwen couldn't keep up. He rushed to the side and threw up, eliciting a wave of jeers from the onlookers.

"Seriously? You're ganging up on one guy and still resorting to these tactics?"

"Dragging out a round of drinks like this isn't fair."

"When it's one against many, fairness isn't part of the equation. They both agreed to the challenge, so what's this about fairness?"

Unconcerned with the scornful stares, Wang Junwen glared at Luo Yun. "Drink him under the table!"

"Let's go, Luo," volunteered a burly newcomer, eagerly downing his cup.

Luo Yun didn't miss a beat.

The newcomer quickly succumbed, and then it was onto the next...

The worm wasn't worried in the slightest; after all, Luo Yun was legendary for his drinking prowess, famously never drunk, no matter the quantity.

As one after another dropped out, the crowd began to sense something was amiss.

Even Luo Tao was staring at Luo Yun in astonishment. Was this guy even human?

More like a barrel of wine!

Luo Yun remained composed. The real drinkers had been first to go; those who came later were lightweights.

A couple of cups in and they were already out for the count.

Before long, the whole group was sprawled out, defeated.

"So, does this mean you've lost?" Luo Yun inquired.

"Who says I've lost? Your turn to drink!" Wang Junwen retorted, fuming.

He couldn't fathom how Luo Yun's tolerance was so unnervingly high.

Intimidated by his glare, several girls hesitantly took their seats at the table.

But even if Luo Yun had been truly drunk, these girls stood no chance.

Within minutes, they all retreated from the table, faces flushed and unable to continue.

"And now?" Luo Yun asked.

This time, Wang Junwen remained silent.

Luo Yun sneered with a dismissive glance.

Then Luo Tao approached, "You have to accept the outcome of the bet, Wang Junwen. I've done all I could to help you. Seems like you just weren't up to the challenge."

Wang Junwen's face turned ashen.

"Bring out the Immortal Wine!"

Luo Tao let out a weary sigh. He hadn't even mentioned it, worried that Luo Yun might refuse the challenge.

Yet, Luo Yun had single-handedly bested the entire group.

The steaming, golden Immortal Wine was quickly brought forth.

"I... Brother Tao, this..."

"Rules are rules. You agreed to the bet, now honor it," Luo Tao declared sternly.

The crowd erupted into cheers.

"Drink! Drink! Drink!"

"Immortal Wine, here we go! Come on, Young Master Wang, you've got this!"

Watching someone drink urine is truly just looking for entertainment without concern for the consequences.

Luo Yun watched with great interest.

"Wang Junwen!"

Luo Tao's face turned icy.

Wang Junwen grimaced, grabbed the Immortal Wine from the table, and downed it in one go. Immediately after, with a retch, he vomited it all back up.

Upon witnessing this, Luo Tao's expression softened. He gave Luo Yun a look and said, "Brother, you're impressive. I'm in awe!"

"It's nothing."

Luo Yun offered a slight smile.
