C16 Ye Fann Was Sold

The legend of the "Eight-Armed Demon" wasn't just talk; it was forged in blood. Yang Hao's eight brothers, two sons, and seven nephews all fell to the hands of this fearsome figure.

Bi Dadan, known as the "Eight-Armed Demon," didn't actually have eight arms. Instead, each time he killed one of Yang Hao's brothers, he would sever an arm and preserve it as a trophy. This gruesome practice earned him his notorious nickname.

Since the early 20th century, the Yang family and the Bi family had been locked in a bitter feud. By the current generation, the Yangs had suffered a crushing defeat, losing their influence entirely. Yang Min was the last of the Yang bloodline, which led Yang Hao, after much internal struggle, to decide to retire from the conflict and live out his days in peace.

Unexpectedly, Yang Min secretly approached Bi Dadan's son, Bi Wenfeng, hoping to find a way to avenge her father. In a sudden burst of anger, Yang Hao slapped Yang Min across the face and shouted, "Kneel! Kneel down!"

Yang Min fell to her knees, stubbornly insisting, "A father's murder is unforgivable. I must..."

"Shut up!" Yang Hao roared, grabbing a chair to hurl at her.

Ye Fann quickly intervened, "What are you doing? Are you willing to lose your last granddaughter too?"

"I'd rather see her dead than watch her get involved in this mess. Do you know how her father died? Or her brothers, uncles, and grandfathers? You saw it with your own eyes, Ye Fann, so don't pretend you don't know!"

Ye Fann felt a headache coming on. He did know, and he had indeed witnessed it. But what did it have to do with him?

"Stop kneeling. Go downstairs and buy the coffee shop. Three hundred thousand dollars, not a penny less." Ye Fann pushed Yang Min aside. "Hurry up, what are you waiting for?"

Then, Ye Fann pulled Yang Hao over to sit down and poured some drinks. "Come on, let's have a little drink, just a little. Today I..."

"You really have the nerve to take advantage of the situation and still think about that three hundred thousand?"

"I'm trying to prevent you from making a mistake. I don't want you to destroy the last of the Yang family's bloodline."

"Forget about the three hundred thousand."

"No way, not a penny less. I need it urgently."

Yang Hao grabbed the bottle and took a swig, then glanced at Ye Fann. "You're such a hypocrite."

"I..."

"What are you standing there for? Go on, get moving. Three hundred thousand, not a penny less!" Yang Hao suddenly shouted at Yang Min.

After yelling, Yang Hao pulled Ye Fann back to their drinks, and they kept at it until evening.

The night wind was bitterly cold. Ye Fann stumbled out of the coffee shop and collapsed on the ground, throwing up.

At the entrance, Ye Jing hurriedly stepped forward to help Ye Fann up. A Porsche sped up and stopped in front of them. The window rolled down, and Yang Min called out from inside, "Get in."

As soon as Ye Fann got in the car, he threw up again. Yang Min gritted her teeth, clearly frustrated, but she held back her anger. Ye Fann passed out right after, falling into a deep sleep.

"Min, should I get in too?" Ye Jing asked from the car door.

"Of course! What are you going to do, run after us?"

"I live nearby."

Yang Min was exasperated. "I can't carry him by myself, you know?"

"Oh, got it. I'll help you take him home."

Late at night, Yang Min, Ye Jing, and Xinying struggled together to finally get Ye Fann into the neighborhood and then into the Huang family home. As they entered, Huang Yong stood by, watching coldly.

Yang Min glanced at him. "Aren't you going to lend a hand?"

"Does he deserve it? If my sister weren't outside, I wouldn't even open the door."

Hearing this, Yang Min let go, and Ye Fann dropped to the floor with a thud. Furious, Yang Min slapped Huang Yong.

"What are you doing? How dare you hit my son in my house?" Wang Ying immediately shouted.

Yang Min sneered, pointing at Ye Fann. "If it weren't for him, you wouldn't have that thirty thousand dollars. You'd be selling your house and sleeping on the street. And now you have the nerve to say he doesn't deserve it?"

"Worthless people like him don't deserve to step into my family's house, got it?" Wang Ying shouted fiercely.

At that moment, Ye Fann woke up. Yang Min had just let go of him, causing him to wake with a start.

"How are you feeling? Do you need some water?" Huang Xinying asked, her eyes full of concern.

Ye Fann slowly shook his head. With Huang Xinying's help, he struggled to his feet, but before he could steady himself, he vomited—right onto Wang Ying.

Wang Ying was stunned.

Ye Fann collapsed again, slipping back into unconsciousness.

"See that? Even a drunk person can't stand the sight of you," Yang Min remarked dryly.

"You little—" Wang Ying exploded, ready to charge at Yang Min.

Suddenly, Ye Jing pushed Huang Yong forward, causing him to bump into Wang Ying.

Before Wang Ying or Huang Yong could react, Yang Min grabbed Ye Jing and headed for the door. As she left, she tossed back, "Let's go. Not worth arguing with someone so uncouth. Bad luck."

Uncouth? If Huang Yong hadn't held her back, Wang Ying would have stormed out to confront Yang Min and cause a scene.

Instead, Wang Ying dragged Ye Fann out.

Huang Yong held onto Huang Xinying, while Wang Ying single-handedly pulled Ye Fann out and shut the door, considering the matter settled.

"Mom, what are you doing? You can't treat Ye Fann like this, he..." Huang Xinying cried out, desperate.

"Shut up!" Wang Ying snapped. "What about him? Is that thirty grand his? It was ours to begin with. All he did was tag along with my son, so what's with the attitude? And reeking of booze like that? Look at how he puked all over me—it's disgusting."

With that, Wang Ying grabbed the keys, locked the door, and took Huang Xinying's keys too, hiding them in her room. "There's never been a drunk in this house. If he dares to drink like that, he can't blame me for being ruthless. He won't get back in until he's sober!"

The night was deep, and the wind howled outside the window. Wang Ying and Huang Yong had already gone to bed. Huang Xinying sat by the door, tears streaming down her face, her voice hoarse from crying. She really didn't understand—how did it come to this? Wasn't it Ye Fann who helped get that thirty grand back? Didn't he help the family out of a big mess? So why were her mom and brother acting like this?

As dawn approached, Huang Xinying, her eyes red and swollen, leaned against the door, slowly succumbing to exhaustion. Outside, a group of people quietly approached and carried Ye Fann away.

In the early morning, Ye Fann was jolted awake by a bucket of cold water. He was tied to a chair. In front of him, Chung Dafu wore a sinister grin, eyes filled with a cold smile. "Well, Ye, my friend, we meet again."

Ye Fann felt dizzy, the effects of the alcohol not yet fully worn off. It took him a moment to grasp the situation and recognize the hefty man in front of him. This was the same guy who had conspired with someone to harm Xinying, and Ye Fann had dealt him a serious blow before. Clearly, he was here for revenge.

"Can I ask you a question?" Ye Fann remained calm, taking a moment to assess before speaking.

Chung Dafu was in no rush, replying leisurely, "Go ahead. I promise to answer any question you have before you meet your end today."

"How did I end up in your hands?"

"Oh, that? Well, you can thank my buddy for that. If he hadn't tipped me off last night that you were passed out drunk outside your house, honestly, I wouldn't have known how to get you here and tie you up."

Huang Yong!

Ye Fann looked up at the ceiling and chuckled. The world is full of all kinds of people, and some just don't know any better. Indeed, quite remarkable.
