C4 Carrying a Little Loli with You!(2)
Chu Yue hadn't anticipated this.
Nonetheless, Zhang Zuosi wouldn't be pulling his people from the strategic location near the university. That outpost, situated perfectly between the Science and Normal universities, was essential for gathering supplies. Zhang Zuosi would certainly not abandon it; at most, he would station trusted and competent subordinates there.
But this time, Chu Yue's prediction was off.
...
At the garrison near the university.
Zhang Zuosi's loyalists, or perhaps Zhao Loong's, had vacated the post two days prior, leaving only those who remained neutral at the Survivor Base.
Now, the garrison was under their control.
"Man, we finally find a girl, and Lee Ye, that pig, gets lucky."
"It's always the pigs that get the best cabbages!"
"Ha, brother, no use complaining. Lee Ye is the golden boy among those at the base, isn't he?"
"Sigh, it's maddening to compare. Even in the apocalypse, the hierarchy persists. It's a shame about that girl, Ho Lan..."
"Indeed, she's got the look of a college student—soft skin, stunning figure, and a face that could easily make her the belle of her department. She'd be a delight in bed!"
"Let's face it, we can only look and dream, my friend!"
"…"
The two Guards shared a smoke, their eyes filled with envy, yet they were resigned to just talk and sigh.
Chu Yue, ready to leave after confirming Zhang Zuosi's men were gone, paused when he heard the name Ho Lan.
"Ho Lan... why does that name ring a bell? Who could she be?"
He racked his brain for the name Ho Lan, and gradually, a memory surfaced.
Ho Lan, a freshman at Yanjing Normal University, and Chu Yue's younger sister, Chu Yao, were classmates.
"It's her, she's alive. Then Yao Yao..."
Chu Yue squinted, pondering the implications.
"Ho Lan must know where Yao is!"
He vividly remembered, at the onset of the apocalypse, his sister and Ho Lan shared a dormitory.
Despite searching Yanjing Normal University for Chu Yao, he had come up empty-handed.
Now that someone had finally discovered news of his younger sister, how could Chu Yue simply walk away?
"Hey, kid, you..."
"Chu, Chu, Chu Yue!!!"
As a man draped in a black cloak approached, the two Guards were about to speak, but upon seeing his face, they were struck speechless. Their cigarettes dropped to the ground as their eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
"Take me to Ho Lan!"
Chu Yue's icy demand snapped the two back to reality.
The news of Chu Yue eliminating Zhang Zuosi's trusted aides was hardly a secret anymore.
These Guards didn't dare cross this formidable figure, especially given their own lackluster abilities – they were all show and no substance!
Most crucially, he was armed with a gun!
"Alright, alright..."
The pair hesitated for a moment, then sighed in relief, grateful they hadn't crossed Ho Lan.
Clearly, Chu Yue, this harbinger of doom, had a connection to Ho Lan.
Tsk tsk, Lee Ye had really hit a snag this time.
The two, who had long been irked by Lee Ye, eagerly escorted Chu Yue to a lavish room at the guard post.
The guard post was housed in a three-story office building situated on the right side of Xingyang Street, nestled between Yanjing Normal University and Yanjing University of Science and Technology.
Behind this building lay a private manufacturing facility.
Despite a devastating natural disaster, the office building remained unscathed, unlike the factories behind it, which were reduced to twisted metal ruins.
Now, they were nothing but a jumble of collapsed steel frameworks.
Yet, the office building still stood proudly, retaining its former grandeur.
Its exterior may have been worn, but the interior remained untouched.
As a stronghold of the base, no Zombies or Infection Beasts would appear within a hundred meters of the office building.
If there were any, they would number no more than ten.
Should a Zombie Horde or Infection Beasts venture within a hundred meters of the guard post, the Survivor Base's Sacrificer would intervene to eliminate the threat.
If there was no horde, a team of fifty highly skilled and well-coordinated fighters would be dispatched.
While this team might not be as formidable as the Sacrificer, they were more than capable of dealing with ordinary Zombies and Infection Beasts.
Every time a Sacrificer uses their power, it depletes one of its limited uses. Once all uses are exhausted, the time comes to pay the price.
Hence, Sacrificers at the Survivor Base seldom venture out.
Only if a garrison point is threatened by Zombies or Infection Beasts during the Devouring Period...
Upon entering the office building, one is greeted by a corridor nearly a hundred meters long, still illuminated by a series of LED lights. Occasionally, a light flickers as if on the verge of failure.
The corridor is flanked by rows of vacant rooms, which, before the apocalypse, were used by the staff.
The second and third floors house the conference hall and the lounge, respectively.
Ho Lan was escorted to the executive lounge on the third floor by Lee Ye.
Chu Yue was swiftly led to the opulent lounge by two Guards.
Inside the lounge, a series of dialogues could be heard.
...
"Little girl, just give in to me obediently!"
"..."
"What are you doing? Stay away from me!"
"What am I doing? That's a good question. What do you think? Can't figure it out? Hehe, obviously, I'm going to sleep with you!"
"..."
"Don't come any closer, or I'll scream for help!"
"Ah? Go ahead and scream. Even if you shout yourself hoarse, no one will come to save you!"
"Ah! Don't, don't touch me!"
"Tsk tsk, your skin is so soft! I especially like little girls like you!"
"No, please, help, somebody help!"
"Save your breath; no one will interrupt us!"
"Hehe, just surrender to me... serve me well, and I'll ensure your safety in the future..."
"Ah, get away, don't touch me..."
"Ouch, I'm going to fall to my death!"
"Pei, you little brat! How dare you kick me off the bed? I'll make sure you regret it..."
The sound of another fall from the bed echoed.
...
"..."
Listening to the noises from the room, the two Guards were sweating profusely.
They were terrified that Chu Yue, standing behind them, might hold them responsible, which would spell disaster for them!
Lee Ye, you fool, picking the worst possible time to court disaster!
You've really done me in!
"This guy is truly talented!"
Chu Yue was on the verge of laughing so hard he could barely contain himself.
Is this kind of conversation really okay?
The murderous aura that had been building up in Chu Yue dissipated in an instant!
"Bust the door down!"
Chu Yue commanded, his face grim.
Upon hearing this, the two men were seized with panic. Without a moment's hesitation, they charged and broke the door open.
And so, as Lee Ye turned to confront the intruders with anger brewing, Chu Yue strolled in calmly.
"Thud!"
To everyone's surprise, Lee Ye's gaze was incredibly piercing.
He recognized Chu Yue in an instant.
"You idiots! What kind of job is this? Tie Chu Yue up now—"
Lee Ye's pupils constricted, and he was about to speak when he abruptly held back his words.
The gun barrel, emitting a chilling gleam, was pointed at an unmentionable area just below his neck!
With just a gentle squeeze...
