C8 Mr. Levineg Fruit!

The strange beast was called Sky Eye Tiger.

After looking at the massive tiger, Rasul's expression changed.

Although his strength was the lowest among the people present, his knowledge was not. After all, he had spent every conscious moment of his life learning. He read about everything related to this world he could find; consequently, he was more than knowledgeable about Level-8 and below strange beasts.

Sky Eye Tigers were growth-type pokemon—uhm, strange beasts. Usually, newborn Sky Eye Tigers were no different from ordinary ferocious beasts. However, once their length reached four meters, they would become as strong as a Level-10 strange beast. Also, a third eye would appear on their foreheads. This eye could affect the opponent's soul; it was extremely terrifying and deadly.

If it was seven meters long and four meters tall, it was about as strong as a Level-9 strange beast. Level-9 beasts were as strong as Body Refining cultivators.

'Is that really a Level-9 beast? Does my luck really suck so bad?' Rasul thought as he looked at the Sky Eye Tiger.

Strange beasts were territorial creatures—they were very sensitive to their territory. Ordinary strange beasts with similar strength could stay together safely. However, if a beast was weaker than its comrades, it would either be expelled or eaten. If a beast was way stronger than its compadres, it would venture deeper into the Endless Forest. Therefore, despite Endless Forest being deadly, one could survive as long as they didn't rush in like idiots. If they traveled carefully, they would, basically, not encounter anything dangerous.

"Curtis Three, attack!" Even after noticing the Sky Eye Tiger, Malen didn't panic at all. Instead, he ordered the purple-clothed man standing at the side.

After that, he led Rasul and the other two men around the Sky Eye Tiger and continued forward.

Although the Sky Eye Tiger was a Level-9 strange beast, it was much stronger than an ordinary Body Refining cultivator. However, Curtis Three wasn't a weakling either. Not long after the four of them left, Curtis Three returned, drenched with blood.

"Curtis Three, are you hurt?" Looking at Curtis Three, Malen asked with concern.

"Thank you for your concern, Eighth Elder. I'm fine," Curtis Three shook his head and said with a hint of excitement. It was as if the fight just now had ignited his wild nature.

"Since you are fine, you should handle the next strange beast too," Malen nodded his head and instructed.

The rest of the journey wasn't what you could call straight—it was more of a trip along a curved path. Sometimes they would go east; sometimes west. Along the way, Malen would even take out a map from time to time, plotting their course.

Once they were in the Level-9 beasts' territory, they encountered more and more beasts. As they continued forward, Curtis Three began to have some difficulty dealing with them all. Hence, Curtis Two and Curtis One supported him with their offense.

Curtis Two and Curtis One were both Body Refining cultivators, and Curtis One was already a high Body Refining cultivator.

"Alright, this is the place." After finishing off a middle Level-9 strange beast, Malen examined the map again.

When the Curtis brothers heard Malen's words, their cold faces also revealed a trace of joy. Despite the strange beasts being of no match to them, the beasts' number was getting exaggerated as they moved further in. So, dealing with them was taking its toll on them. However, they no longer had to deal with those beasts now, so they were naturally happy.

"Let's go." After observing his surroundings, Malen's attention finally landed on a small hill not too high up.

Although the Endless Forest was filled with trees, that didn't mean it was a plain—there were many high and low terrains within. Obviously, the low terrains were valleys, and the high terrains were mountains.

The five of them went to the side of the hill and searched carefully. Before long, they found a cave on the hill's west side. It was a very secluded place, and they could feel a cold waft coming from time to time.

"Curtis Two, Curtis Three, you two take the front." Malen frowned as he looked at the dark cave entrance. His skin quivered every time the cave's cold waft touched him.

"Curtis One, you take the rear." As soon as Curtis Two and Curtis Three entered the cave, Malen gave a command to Curtis One, then led Rasul into the hole.

The cave entrance was not big—an adult had to bend down to enter. But after entering the cave, the tunnel suddenly became very wide. Not only could they stand up and walk, but they could also move around.

The only thing that made Rasul uncomfortable was the wind blowing out of the tunnel: it was too cold.

Suddenly, a warm Daniel enveloped his body. Rasul looked around and discovered that it was Malen. He used his Daniel to form a Daniel Conradrrier and used it to envelope Rasul.

After becoming a Level-7 Daniel Refiner, a cultivator could project their internal Daniel outward to form a protective barrier around their body.

However, a Daniel Refining cultivator didn't have that much Daniel, so they couldn't maintain the barrier for too long. Only Body Refining cultivators could sustain a Daniel Conradrrier for prolonged periods.

"Thank you, Eighth Uncle." Rasul was very touched by Malen's care. Although Rasul did not know what the next task was, he was smart enough to guess some tidbits from Malen and the others' performances on the way.

This mission was probably very dangerous given how it required the participation of a super expert like Malen. After all, he always ordered the Curtis brothers to deal with the numerous Level-9 beasts they encountered on their way here. Perhaps he wanted to maintain his peak strength so that he could deal with the upcoming crisis.

Under such circumstances, how could Rasul not be touched? Malen was actually wasting his Daniel on someone who couldn't even cultivate.

From the outside, the hill didn't seem very big. However, after entering the cave, Rasul found that its inside was utterly different. Given the group's quick speed, they had traveled at least five or six miles within an hour. Yet, despite the cave being dark, they couldn't see the end of the tunnel.

They walked for about ten minutes more before Curtis Two and Curtis Three, who had been walking in front, suddenly stopped.

"Eighth Elder, listen." When Malen walked to the two of them.

"Restrain your aura." When Malen heard them, his calm expression suddenly changed. At the same time, he withdrew the barrier covering Rasul's body.

Fortunately, the wind was, surprisingly, not too cold here. So, Rasul could endure it easily.

Among the five people present, only Rasul was an ordinary person. Therefore, he had no idea what those ahead had heard. Consequently, his desire to repair his meridians became stronger. Had he been strong enough, he, too, could've known what was going on ahead instead of standing around, clueless.

The group walked for another four to five minutes before Rasul finally heard the sound of a battle. Finally, Rasul knew why Malen's expression had changed.

This time, Malen did not make a sound. He stretched out his hand to signal the group to be careful. Then, he sent Rasul to Curtis Three's side. This time, Malen walked to the front of the group, and the group slowly approached the place where the fight was taking place.

After walking for a few dozen meters, the originally dark cave lit up. With the help of the light, Rasul could finally see the half-meter tall boulder blocking the cave's entrance. Malen quietly hid behind the boulder with the group.

Looking ahead, Rasul found that there was another cave at the end of this cave.

The entire cave was dozens of meters tall and about a thousand meters in diameter. There were five people in the cave and a giant wolf more than ten meters long.

Four of the five fought with the giant wolf, and the other stood far away from the cave.

Although the fight between the four experts and the giant wolf was exhilarating, Rasul was utterly focused on the small red tree in the middle of the cave. Especially the three fruits on top of the tree that was emitting red light.
