C14 Wild Beast

"Church of the Chalice... is a really uncomfortable place." After leaving for a while, Gilbert reappeared beside Carl. There was a fresh smell of blood on his body. Obviously, he had participated in the hunt just now.

Gilbert raised his hand and stuffed a piece of clothing into Carl's hand.

It was a very inconspicuous Hunter's dusty Coat. It was a common item with the smell of Beast Transformation Blood.

"Put it on first." Gilbert pointed at the Healing Church uniform that Carl was wearing. "Everyone is about to go crazy... A hunter's TransFur Disease exploded just now."

"This is his clothes?"

Gilbert nodded. "Something is not right. I know that person. He lives diagonally across from my house. He seems to be in good condition. He shouldn't have turned into a wild beast just like that. "

Carl took the clothes and quickly took off the church uniform on him. Then, he skillfully put the Hunter's dusty Coat on his body.

"Alright, I thought you would hesitate for a while." Gilbert shrugged and handed an iron box to Carl. "What we found earlier should be some portable fuel that the residents keep privately. You should be able to use it."

Carl thanked him and took the box. He found that Gilbert was right. There was a lot of fuel, but the workmanship and quality were not good. But in this situation where they could not get supplies, these inferior fuel were very important.

"Let's hurry. Soon, this place will be a dead city." Carl took a look at the thick smoke that blotted out the sky and covered the earth, then turned around and set off.

Yanam was finished.

The continuous Beast Disaster had completely destroyed the People of Yanam's nerves. Along the way, Carl not only saw the fight between the hunters and the wild beasts, but also saw the scene of the residents who had lost their rationality arson all over the place, and even rush towards the wild beasts with their bare hands.

From a certain perspective, there was no difference between them and the wild beasts.

The hunters did not travel in groups. They emphasized that once small groups or individual hunters advanced in groups, it was very easy for them to interfere with each other's movements, not to mention in a narrow street like Yanam.

"Get lost! Get lost!"

A man's roar came from a room nearby. Carl saw a figure running out of the room in a sorry state. Judging from his face, it was the young hunter he had met earlier.

This young man was obviously very angry and confused. His emotions were written all over his face.

"Sir, you must leave now!" The little hunter still insisted on his duty, and he loudly replied, "The fire is too serious, and it will reach here very soon. Please leave quickly!"

"Arsonist, homicidal maniac! Get lost! "

Carl suddenly took a step forward and pulled the little hunter back, but he helped him dodge the incoming machete.

The owner of the house seemed to have some wealth. The man holding the machete was also leaning towards being rich, but now, his face was twisted into a ball. Tears, snot, and blood stains were mixed together.

He used a lot of strength, so the machete was embedded in the wooden door frame. Before he could pull the machete out, Carl raised his leg and kicked the man away. Gilbert quickly stepped forward and stepped on him.

"Ah, it's... it's you." The little hunter recognized Carl's face, but he immediately remembered the terrible behavior of the Healing Church. His face changed again, but Carl had saved his life, so the young man still lowered his head and thanked him.

"What's going on?"

Carl asked in a low voice.

The little hunter hesitated for two seconds and said, "His mother has TransFur symptoms. The people in front of her moved."

After saying so much, it was enough for Carl to know what had happened. The stout man did not have any symptoms of the TransFur, but his current condition was no different from a madman. Even though he was subdued by Gilbert with brute force, he still tried to fight back, but it seemed very weak.

"Get lost! Get lost..."

The man grabbed Gilbert's leg and tried to push it away. He kept hitting the ground with his head, and his tears washed the dirt on his face, forming a blank path.

Carl looked at all this expressionlessly. Then he patted Gilbert's shoulder and said, "Let's go."

If it was any other time, perhaps as a member of the Healing Church, he would find a way to solve this problem. However, at this moment, Carl no longer had the mood to care about such a problem.

He gave Gilbert a look and the latter immediately pushed the little hunter towards the exit. Colton paused his Hunter's Cane and looked at the man with a face full of pain and despair.

"If you don't want to die, then go to Church of the Chalice, if you haven't been infected by the TransFur Disease." After saying that, Carl walked out of the door.

There were intense gunshots coming from above the Yanam, but when Carl looked up, he couldn't see the source of the sound. The smoke was too thick.

"It's them." Gilbert said briefly.

Carl did not say anything. The hunters from the gunpowder factory had obviously encountered some troublesome enemies, but they could not do anything now. They could only wish them good luck.

The two of them turned into three people. The young hunter looked at Carl's clothes with a complicated expression. He did not express any opinions, even though he was looking forward to his future. At that moment, he felt extremely oppressed. The residents and hunters were filled with hostility and distrust. Even if the latter went to inform the people about the evacuation, they could not be treated kindly.

The road ahead was blocked. A collapsed house and a burning horse carriage fell in the middle of the road. The burning fire and the smell of burning corpses made people retreat.

"This way."

Gilbert pointed to the corpse of a wild beast on the side of the road. Its body was almost cut into two. The one who made this wound was usually the hunter under Ludwig. The leader of the Church Hunter promoted the use of heavy cold weapons. Only the heavy sword and rock hammer could cause the body of the Disaster Beast to split or severely deform.

From the marks on the ground, it could be seen that many people had already climbed down from this seemingly dangerous ladder. This was more or less good news, so the three of them climbed down in sequence.

The fire spread too fast. When Carl climbed up the ladder, he found that the red color representing destruction had covered the entire town. He could also see that on a tall tower in the distance, many gun flames flew out from the thick smoke, but were soon covered by flames.

Gilbert's exclamation came from below. Carl immediately became alert. He looked down at Gilbert, but saw that Gilbert was looking at him, or rather, above him!

"Be careful!" He shouted.

A black shadow fell from above. The three of them stuck their bodies to the ladder and dodged the black shadow.

It was a hunter. From the way he fell, it seemed like he was lying on the ground. He was already a corpse. The poor man's body fell heavily to the ground. Blood sprayed out from the wound on his chest and waist, because of the impact from the fall. His ribs even broke through his skin. The Hunter's dusty Coat on his body became tattered and tattered in this situation. It was like a piece of tattered cloth.

Two huge beasts appeared on top of the iron stairs. Their eyes were different from the eyes of ordinary TransFur Disease patients and Disaster Beasts. Their eyes, which should have been yellow and diffused with no spirit, had turned red, as if there was blood flowing out of the two balls.

"Quick, go down!" Gilbert, who was at the bottom, immediately sped up. However, the iron ladder was very long. Even though their bodies had been strengthened by their blood, they could not reach the bottom in an instant.

This kind of crazy beast was very difficult to encounter in ordinary Night Of Hunting. Even if they did encounter it, they would not 'place' it on the street. When ordinary hunters discovered these crazy red-eyed werewolf, they had to inform their leader or other elite hunters and hunt them as quickly as possible.

Carl took out one of his hands and handed his flamethrower to the young hunter above him. The fuel inside was still enough, and the high temperature flames might be able to make them retreat.

The two beasts seemed to have intelligence. When they saw the young hunter take out his weapon, one of them actually stopped attacking and jumped down from both sides. With his amazing explosive force, he jumped onto the shorter roof, while the other stayed on top to prevent the three of them from returning.

"Damn it, these bastards are surrounding us." Gilbert cursed fiercely. Two seconds later, he made his own decision.

This man suddenly accelerated the climbing speed. When he was still a few meters from the ground, he jumped down. The Saw Cleaver hanging on his waist was directly grabbed in his hand. The Hunter Pistol that was loaded with bullets was also held in his hand.

His meaning was very clear. He wanted to use his own strength to stall this crazy werewolf and buy time for Carl and the other man to retreat.

Before this, Gilbert did not even have the experience of hunting or even facing this kind of red-eyed werewolf. This kind of action was undoubtedly putting his life on the line.

How could Carl not understand the intentions of his good friend? He quickly descended towards the ground. As long as he seized the opportunity and the three of them gathered together, these two werewolf might not dare to attack.

However, just as he was about to land, when he was still a few meters away from the ground, a red light suddenly flashed in front of him. Carl was startled for a moment, then he saw a claw coming towards him, followed by a heart-wrenching pain.

Behind the ladder was a layer that could only accommodate one person. No one would have thought that there was a wild beast hidden in this layer. This claw hit Carl in the face. It brought intense pain, and at the same time, it made him fall to the ground involuntarily.
