C15 Sixteen Years Old Breeder!
Outside the battle pet tomb, Corey yawned within the relic room and glanced at the silent relic gate. He continued to browse the Pet's Home forum.
Simultaneously, he was drafting an article about Symas's recent achievement as a black iron one-star breeder. Having already updated Symas's profile on Pet's Home, it wouldn't be long before Tamer University, which was keen on recruiting students, would be in the loop.
Corey planned to use his Pet's Home account to share the news, not only to create a buzz in Littlewell but also to gain followers and boost the influence of the Littlewell Tamer Association. It was a win-win situation.
Six hours had passed when the grayish-black fog at the battle pet tomb's gate began to swirl, and Symas emerged.
"Just as I thought," Corey thought with a smirk. No matter how much time was spent, obtaining a pet from the battle pet tomb was never going to be straightforward.
"Holy cow!" Corey, who was seated nearby, caught sight of the Charmander trailing Symas—muscular as a young bull, with a fierce dragon head and two pairs of sickle dragon wings folded on its back. He gasped and leaped to his feet.
"A fire-type dragon pet! Black iron one star!" Corey approached the Charmander, his face a mix of shock and awe.
"Symas, how did you manage this?" Corey asked, his voice tinged with excitement as he stood before the Charmander. Dragon pets, especially those with advanced attack power like fire types, were nearly unbeatable at their level.
"Intelligence," Symas replied, his voice low and enigmatic.
"Intelligence, my foot," Corey muttered under his breath, annoyed at Symas's smug demeanor.
"You're so lucky. You've just crafted two perfect level potions, and now you've snagged a dragon pet from the battle pet tomb. It's just not fair," Corey lamented.
"Guild President, I actually know a way to tell if there are any pets inside those stone eggs!"
"Hmm?"
"Really?"
"Absolutely. Take a look."
With that, Symas gestured to the Charmander at his feet. The Charmander cooperated, letting out a low growl and exhaling a stream of hot air that made Corey's robe flutter.
"What's your point?"
"I'll sell you the method, even if it means taking a bit of a loss myself. One billion federal coins!"
Symas lamented, appearing as though he had indeed incurred a significant loss.
"Get lost!"
"Also, you should keep your dragon pet under wraps for now. It could attract unwanted trouble. Merely being a breeder draws attention, and with a fire dragon pet like yours, you could be inviting serious problems."
"I'll make sure the information about your fire dragon pet circulates internally within the association. Naturally, those from Imperial College will be in the know as well. This is your leverage. The better you perform, the more resources you'll be able to access."
Corey then spoke with a grave tone.
"Guild President, could you leave me a Whisper Conch?"
"I am, after all, considered a prodigy in Littlewell. If I'm targeted by the Dark Order and can't hold my own, I'll need to be able to call for backup!"
Symas looked at Corey with a somewhat forlorn expression.
The reason for not exchanging phone numbers was simple: the Dark Order wasn't made up of fools. They carried signal jammers, so in the event of an attack, a phone would be as useful as a paperweight.
"Indeed."
Corey produced a Whisper Conch, small enough to fit in the palm of a baby's hand, with a soft pink hue resembling a sea conch.
This Whisper Conch was a type of auxiliary pet that could be used without a contract, typically coming in pairs.
Symas had the son conch, while Corey held the mother conch. Should danger arise, Symas could use the Whisper Conch to call for help.
"Thank you, Guild President."
"Don't mention it. I'll post an announcement on the Pet's Home forum about your new status as a breeder."
"Once the news is out, expect quite a few from Tamer University to reach out to you."
Corey explained.
Symas shook his head and sighed, "Fame certainly comes with its share of trouble."
Corey's expression darkened as he thought about the perfect level potion and the fire dragon pet that had emerged from the battle pet tomb. The more he dwelled on it, the angrier he got.
Eventually, Corey had enough and sent Symas packing. However, before Symas was shown the door, he managed to convince Corey to don a robe, arguing that they couldn't let the Charmander strut around openly. Cloaked in a black robe, the Charmander's true form would be less noticeable.
Once Symas had left, Corey wasted no time in posting an announcement about Symas passing his breeder's exam. The post quickly caught the attention of Corey's 900,000 followers, mostly locals from Littlewell.
Ding!
At that moment, all of Corey's followers received a notification about the new post.
"Littlewell's Sixteen-Year-Old Pet Breeder, Symas of Patriot School, He's Done It!"
In the upper floors of a business building, within a pet potion company, a casually dressed woman with long hair stared at the Pet's Home notification. She was momentarily taken aback.
"A sixteen-year-old pet breeder!" she exclaimed. "He's gone viral!"
"Did he just finish the Summoning Ceremony? I wonder if he summoned a battle pet."
This long-haired woman, a member of the company's advertising department, instantly recognized the potential for a lucrative deal. Symas was bound to become a sensation, and getting him to sign with their company would surely bring in massive traffic.
In just ten minutes, the post had already garnered half a million views, catapulting it into the top ten trending topics in the Littlewell subarea and drawing even more eyes to the news.
The most astonished of all were Symas's classmates from Third Class at Patriot School. Upon hearing the news, they were utterly flabbergasted.
They all knew Symas as the top theoretical performer in their class. Yet, to their amazement, he had managed to secure a breeder certificate right after completing the Summoning Ceremony. Such a certificate could open doors to prestigious institutions like Tamer University!
Naturally, the news had only just begun to spread.
With the Charmander in tow, Symas hailed a taxi and headed straight for his home in Valengor Residence, leaving behind a buzz of excitement at his sudden rise to fame.
From the lofty heights of the Tamer Association's tower, a majestic Gale Falcon with a wingspan of over a meter and standing thirty centimeters tall took flight. It swiftly caught up with the taxi carrying Symas, its piercing gaze surveying the surroundings. A metal ring from the association was secured to one of its legs, confirming its location.
This was the elite 7-star battle pet that Corey had dispatched to protect Symas—the Gale Falcon! Renowned for its unmatched speed, it also boasted the ability to unleash Cross Wind Blades, as well as attacks with gusts of wind and sonic waves. The Gale Falcon's battle power was undoubtedly among the top ranks of elite 7-star battle pets.
At that very moment, atop a ten-story building across from the Tamer Association, a burly man clad in a black windbreaker fixed his gaze on the taxi transporting Symas, and also on the Gale Falcon from the association. His smartphone displayed a post about the sixteen-year-old breeder, Symas.
"Interesting, this is no ordinary kid," he mused with a smile, intrigued by what he saw.
