C18 Soul Refining! Ancient Fire God Atlas!!

Moments later, after getting accustomed to the various bone blades and spikes of the White Bone remould worm, Symas was drenched in sweat, his breath warm from exertion. The remould worm had depleted a significant amount of its own strength, but with the support of the small gold pet nest, the metal attribute energy it had lost was quickly replenished. Within just a few breaths, Symas could vividly sense the platinum-blond mist rising from beneath the stones of the nest and flowing into his body.

The countless remould worms within his bones and blood voraciously devoured the metal attribute energy that poured into them, swiftly regenerating. After expending and then absorbing more energy, Symas could even perceive an enhancement in his physical body's flesh, blood, and strength after the tempering process. Each absorption of the metal attribute energy brought a noticeable boost to his physique.

It was as if each use of the remould worm served to temper his body, akin to a powerful nourishing tonic. Should Symas enter a nest of metal-type magical creatures, with parasitic White Bone remould worms enhancing him and continuously devouring external power, he could potentially battle endlessly with an inexhaustible source of strength.

Once Symas had soothed the remould worms, he massaged his temples, feeling the strain not only from the consumption of metal attribute power but also from the toll on his soul power. He immediately turned his focus to the cultivation method of soul refining. This technique was an achievement skill he had acquired upon advancing to the rank of a black iron breeder. In over two hundred years of Orithyia's tamer history, Symas's soul refining might well be unprecedented, enhancing his psychic force without having stepped into the overlord tier.

Of course, Symas couldn't discount the possibility that some powerful families within the Trintis Dukedom might also possess such mental cultivation methods, unbeknownst to him.

As Symas directed his attention to the soul refining technique, a burst of enigmatic information exploded from the text, flooding his mind with the arcane secrets of soul refining. The knowledge was somewhat cryptic, and amidst it, he could faintly discern an aged voice chanting near his ear.

Symas immediately assumed a cross-legged position.

His focus shifted to the soul refining technique.

The information at hand pertained to only the first two levels of the soul refining technique. To master the first level, he needed to gather his psychic force and, within his sea of consciousness, visualize either a ferocious creature or some objects, thereby solidifying his psychic force.

The first level was diagram condensing, and the second, Embodiment.

The records of the second level suggested that once the creature or object was visualized, it could be summoned into reality to launch mental attacks.

As Symas set out to practice the first level, phantom images of ancient beasts emerged from the soul refining technique, each one vivid, sitting cross-legged in the void, snarling and clawing with immense presence.

Among these phantoms, Symas's gaze was drawn to a humanoid creature ablaze, towering a hundred feet with a fire dragon coiling by its side. Many other beastly phantoms kept their distance from this Fire God.

"You're the one."

Symas, with his faint psychic force, connected with it, and the phantom of the Ancient Fire God solidified into a nearly transparent image, branding itself in the sky of his sea of consciousness and circling overhead.

Upon contact with Symas's psychic force, the image erupted with a powerful force, voraciously consuming his psychic energy.

"What's happening?"

Moments later, Symas's complexion was ashen.

In a mere few seconds, thirty percent of his psychic force had been devoured, yet the semi-transparent Ancient Fire God Atlas above his sea of consciousness had filled less than a tenth.

Outside, in the Void Territory.

Sensing the transformation within Symas, numerous luminescent specks materialized in the void, reminiscent of fireflies scattering in all directions, each merging into Symas's form.

Within his body.

Symas felt a refreshing coolness pouring in from the external world, like the most refined divine power entering his sea of consciousness.

This influx restored a delicate equilibrium between the depleted and replenished psychic force.

Yet, this external aid was not to last.

Within half a moment, the connection ceased. The Void Territory outside was merely level one, still in its nascent stage.

Upgrading the Void Territory required more than just unlocking buildings; it necessitated a hefty sum of 30 million gold coins and an elite-grade asteriated stone. Symas was currently unable to come up with such an amount. He needed to get the pet shop up and running quickly to sell potions and make money. Alternatively, he could hunt magical creatures in the wild, as their materials were valuable for enhancing a pet's attributes and levels. He could even craft armor for his pets. If he could subdue the wild magical creatures and tame their demonic nature, they too could become his pets.

Symas had decided to hunt magical creatures in the Littlewell wilderness, which would also serve as a training exercise for the close combat skills of the White Bone remould worm and his lethargic Charmander. While cultivating in the Void Territory, the Charmander continued to sleep in its nest, yet it managed to increase its level by 1% to 2% each day. This pace was far too slow. Without upgrading the nest to level two, leveling up through sleep would take over three months.

Afterward, Symas took a moment to recalibrate his condition within the Void Territory, regaining some of his psychic force. A quarter of the Ancient Fire God Atlas within his mind was now complete. With a thought, Symas felt a repulsive force emanating from the surrounding void. In an instant, he vanished, reappearing in his home within Valengor Residence. It was his familiar bedroom, and outside the window, night had fallen. Checking the time, it was 11:30 PM. His journey in the Void Territory had lasted over ten hours, but it had significantly bolstered his battle power.

At that moment, Symas sensed something amiss—an inexplicable unease crept over him.

Half an hour earlier, atop the roof of Valengor Residence under the cover of night, the lights in the neighborhood had begun to fade after eleven o'clock. Rimid, the leader of the Dark Order's East District, had stealthily infiltrated the stairwell on the building's top floor. He looked up at the ceiling, his eyes flashing with intensity. It was time to act. Rimid had initially intended to simply gather information on Symas, but to his surprise, Symas had headed straight to the Tamer Association after leaving his home.

In just a few short hours, he had already secured a breeder certificate.

Going forward, even if he wasn't enrolled at the Imperial College, he would be affiliated with one of the other prestigious Tamer Universities.

At this caliber, he was already a viable target for the Dark Order's hit list.

Moreover, Symas only had a Gale Falcon from the tamer's association. If he could swiftly take down the Gale Falcon, he could then ascend to the sixth floor and eliminate Symas.

This entire operation wouldn't take more than a quarter of an hour.

Pulling off this job would undoubtedly secure him substantial rewards from the Dark Order. It was certainly worth the attempt.
