C5 Tamer Rookie Achievement!!

Half a day had swiftly passed by.

Out of the three hundred individuals present, only fifty-seven possessed the aptitude for a battle pet, a slight increase from before. Moreover, this time there was an elite student among them, a kind of talent that could secure a notable rank within the Imperial College.

After parting ways with Symas, Idod returned to his home in the affluent villa district of Littlewell.

He made a beeline for his father's bedroom.

His father, Baegla, was the president of the Littlewell Battle Pet Black Iron Potion Company, selling a variety of black iron potions. The company also employed several top-ten ranked pet breeders in Littlewell.

Idod relayed to his father the conversation he had with Symas during the Summoning Ceremony.

"Microexpression psychology, that's intriguing. I've read about it too, but if Butler Austin were truly with the Dark Order, would he really make such a low-level error as to let his expressions be seen?"

"Dad, Symas didn't seem to be joking. He has no reason to falsely accuse our butler. There's no bad blood between them, and Symas is just a student. Can Butler Austin truly conceal his true self all the time?" Idod persisted.

"Idod, your friend Symas seems quite significant to you. However, given your current abilities, it's unlikely you two will have much to do with each other in the future. I've already been contacted by someone from the Imperial College."

"He's very important to me."

"The mere fact that he shared this information with me says it all."

"Indeed."

"I'll have someone look into this. I just so happen to have two devil attracting drugs that came from the black market of the imperial capital."

"If Butler Austin is indeed with the Dark Order, there will certainly be evidence on him."

"Idod, you just watch from the sidelines."

Baegla concluded.

He summoned Butler Austin to the bedroom.

Butler Austin entered, clad in a black robe, his face wearing a benign smile that belied his gentle demeanor. Now in his sixties, his face bore many wrinkles.

"Butler Austin, here's a cup of superior tea. You've worked hard serving Idod all these years. Please, drink up."

Baegla kept it brief, gesturing for a close servant to present the cup of tea.

The tea was a pale black, wafting a subtle, soothing aroma.

Butler Austin accepted the cup, a smile on his face tinged with a hint of hesitation as he eyed the brew.

A sense of unease stirred within him. Being summoned suddenly for tea was surely a sign of something amiss.

"Drink!"

Baegla, seated above, eyed the hesitant Butler Austin with growing suspicion and commanded in an icy tone.

Should Butler Austin prove to be an agent of the Dark Order, Baegla was prepared to eliminate the threat immediately.

"Yes, sir."

Butler Austin was merely a black iron 4-star tamer with a supportive pet, Featherweed, which modestly enhanced speed and physicality.

After finishing the tea,

Butler Austin felt an intense heat coursing through his body.

"This is a devil attracting drug."

"Master, you..."

As the suppressed power within him was drawn forth, Butler Austin's expression dramatically darkened.

"Impossible!"

"How did I give myself away? After all these years, just as I learned of Baegla's son, Idod, and his astonishing talent, ready to claim a significant achievement, I'm discovered at this pivotal moment."

Suddenly, Baegla, who stood no taller than 1.75 meters, began to swell in size.

His suit strained at the seams, resembling a tight garment, with many areas tearing to reveal needle-like black hairs, and his cheeks sprouted dark whiskers.

A chilling force emanated from within him.

"So, he truly is from the Dark Order."

Baegla's gaze turned frosty.

The man he had trusted was a Nightshaper traitor, and his son, Idod, had only just awakened his elite potential.

Li Sheng had been attending to Idod.

Had this gone on any longer, Idod's life would have been gravely endangered by a Dark Order traitor, targeting a youth who had just bonded with his battle pet.

The outcome was clear.

"Father."

Idod, sitting a short distance away, had never witnessed such a spectacle. He watched in shock as the once kind and amiable Butler Austin transformed after consuming the tea laced with the devil attracting drug.

A mere glance at the murderous aura radiating from Butler Austin sent a chill through Idod, leaving him rigid with fear.

Though he had seen the City Guards defeat the Dark Order on television, it had only ever stirred a sense of excitement within him.

Now that he was in the thick of it, he truly understood the meaning of terror.

Thankfully, he had made the discovery early. Had it not been for Symas's warning, the outcome would have been too dreadful to contemplate!

"Idod."

What followed was a sight that struck terror into Idod's heart. Butler Austin's appearance had undergone a horrifying transformation, his body sprouting black fur as he morphed into a hulking Werewolf. He turned his head abruptly.

His fingernails had grown significantly, resembling the sharp claws of a wolf, as he began to charge towards Idod with a crazed look in his eyes.

But suddenly.

A streak of white light flashed before Idod, sweeping past the Orcish Butler Austin.

His head was severed cleanly, and his body collapsed to the ground with a dull thud.

Idod, meanwhile, sat frozen in his chair, fists clenched and face etched with tension.

After the white light had passed, it settled on a sofa nearby. It was a large white cat with a tail like a scythe, half a meter in length, gracefully grooming its paws.

This was Baegla's elite 8-star pet, the Scythe Flying Cat.

Handling a black iron level Orcish was well within its capabilities, the gap in their levels was vast.

Looking at Butler Austin on the ground, Baegla turned to the shaken Idod and said, "We have Symas to thank for this warning. Our family owes him a debt of gratitude. I will personally prepare a pet gift to send to Symas."

"And that's not all. If Symas is interested, I'll allow him to pick out an elite pet from our Mckinney family's battle pet store."

Baegla stated.

...

At that moment.

Inside Symas's home, he was attempting to transfer the Witchwood into the Void Territory.

"Enter."

With a mere thought from Symas.

The familiar sensation of spatial tugging enveloped him once again, pulling him into the Void Territory.

In a secluded corner of the modest territory.

Within the small fire pet nest, the countdown for the fire dragon egg indicated just two hours remained until hatching.

Upon entering the Void Territory.

The Witchwood, previously coiled into a vine bracelet, seemed to awaken to some unseen cue. It sprang to life, the bracelet splitting open as it slithered like a dark red serpent straight towards the small pet nest.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for acquiring your first black iron level pet. You've earned the novice tamer achievement. Would you like to claim the achievement?"

"Receive."
