C7 Visiting the House!

After quite some time in the Void Territory, a Charmander nestled within a small fire type pet hive had thoroughly consumed its scarlet eggshell.

Its belly noticeably bulged from the feast.

The little creature gained a significant amount of strength and made its way to Symas' feet, nuzzling his pant leg before settling down on the ground. Within moments, it was sound asleep.

Upgrade Progress: 5%.

Symas checked and noted that the Charmander's upgrade progress was considerably slower than that of the Fire Vine.

The primary reason was that the Fire Vine had been summoned from the pet altar, where pets typically start with an upgrade progress of over 10%.

Other pets, hatched from eggshells, all begin at 0%.

For the Charmander to have reached 5% just by consuming its eggshell was impressively quick!

"Ding! A sporadic fire type pet has been detected. Would you like to spend 1,000,000 federal coins to accelerate your pet's growth?"

"Yes!"

Symas responded without a second thought.

The Charmander promised to be much more powerful in battle than the Fire Vine.

"Ding! Federal coins have been successfully deducted!"

"Growth acceleration is underway. Countdown to breaking through to black iron one star: 9 hours..."

"Nine hours to break through to black iron one star?"

"Absolutely worth it."

A gleam of excitement shone in Symas' eyes.

Raising dragon-type pets was notoriously challenging, a fact well-known among beast tamers. The cost of their specialized pet food and daily intake was exorbitantly high.

For the average beast tamer family, supporting a dragon-type battle pet was a substantial strain.

In his past life as a black iron level cultivator, Symas had been acquainted with a top talent at Farhaven's Beast Tamer University who owned a sub-dragon battle pet. The monthly expenses for pet food alone exceeded 100,000 federal coins, with better quality food costing several times that.

Without a substantial backing, the cost of pet food alone could bankrupt someone.

The Fire Vine Symas was currently summoning required the blood essence of a black iron level fire type magical creature for sustenance, with the better nourishment being fire spirit liquid.

This liquid was derived from the Fire Spirit Flower found in pet relics, and it was a staple in the diet of most market-available plant and fire type pets.

Only by doing so can one's pets thrive and grow to their fullest potential.

This is one of the many pet evolutionary paths that have been developed over two hundred years on the planet Orithyia, and it's widely considered the most reliable. While other fire type pet foods can be consumed, their effects haven't been confirmed by the majority of beast tamers.

There have been numerous instances where haphazard feeding has led to mutations in pets or even a decrease in their star levels.

Moreover, in just over an hour.

The Fire Vine's level progression reached 16%, a 4% increase from before.

Even without the specialized pet food, the growth rate was impressive, all thanks to the small fire type pet hive.

Subsequently.

Symas exited the Void Territory and checked his federal account, only to confirm a reduction of one million federal coins.

He was now down to 800,000 federal coins.

And with the need to purchase food for both the Fire Vine and Charmander, his expenses were mounting.

"Ding dong!"

Shortly after.

The doorbell echoed through the home.

Unexpectedly, the visitor was Idod's father, Baegla, a well-known tycoon from Littlewell.

Baegla, donning a sharp black suit, was accompanied by Idod and a robust, handsome middle-aged man carrying a box.

"Forgive the intrusion."

"I'm Idod's father, Baegla. We have you to thank, Symas, for helping the Mckinney family root out that Dark Order spy."

Baegla's voice was warm and his smile genuine.

Symas was well aware of the incident Baegla referenced.

"Uncle Sun."

"Come in, please. I merely mentioned it in passing. I've come across numerous reports about the Dark Order on the Pet's Home forum."

"It was quite the stroke of luck."

After ushering them inside, Symas clarified.

Baegla maintained his friendly demeanor, his expression unchanging.

"Regardless, the Mckinney family is in your debt. I've brought a modest gift, along with a black iron level pet gift card from our company."

"With this card, you can select any black iron level pet from our Mckinney family pet store."

Baegla pulled a sleek black pet gift card from his pocket and set it down on the table.

The imposing middle-aged man in black behind him followed suit, placing a box on the table before him.

"What a lavish gesture!" Symas exclaimed, visibly startled by the sight of the card. He hadn't anticipated this.

Baegla had offered a gift card with no black iron qualification restrictions—a rarity indeed. A six-star black iron level pet with the potential for combat could fetch upwards of five million on the market, and that was just for starters. Elite pets commanded prices in the tens of millions.

"Uncle Sun, this is incredibly valuable," Symas said, genuinely taken aback by the generosity.

"Why? You think my Idod's life isn't worth this much?" Baegla's voice was calm and warm.

Idod chimed in, "Symas, stop dawdling. It's not every day my old man is this open-handed. Just take it already. With this card, you can pick out a high-aptitude battle pet, giving you a real shot at getting into Farhaven University."

"We might even end up as classmates."

Symas nodded, relinquishing any further protest. Baegla was truly a force to be reckoned with.

Shortly thereafter, Baegla made his exit without lingering, leaving a parting reminder that Symas could reach out to him should any troubles arise. If it wasn't overly complicated, Baegla was confident he could handle it.

Initially, Symas hadn't expected to receive anything from Baegla, so this was a pleasant surprise.

In his past life, Baegla had been incensed by Idod's death, his only son. His wrath had led to a relentless vendetta against the Dark Order in Littlewell, resulting in the deaths of many of their members.

Back in his room, Symas opened the box from Baegla. Inside, the first layer was meticulously filled with sixty vials of Fire Spirit Liquid, each emitting a captivating glow. The second layer held ten black iron level Fire Spirit Stones, each conforming to the federal standard size.

These were the essential food for black iron level pets, with the fire energy within the stones being exceptionally stable. A pet absorbing the power from a Fire Spirit Stone would evolve much faster than it would by consuming regular pet food.

Each vial of Fire Spirit Liquid was worth no less than ten thousand federal coins, and the black iron level Fire Spirit Stones were valued at twenty thousand apiece.

Altogether, the sum would amount to nearly a million federal coins.

He had clearly understood Baegla's earlier remarks; by preserving Idod's life, he had met Baegla's assessment of his son's worth.

Baegla's promise was extended because he believed his initial offer might have been somewhat undervalued.
