C7 Visiting!
After quite some time in the Void Territory, within the confines of a small fire pet nest, a Charmander meticulously devoured the crimson eggshell. Its belly swelled noticeably, and newfound strength coursed through its body. It ambled over to Symas' feet, affectionately nuzzled his pant leg, and then sprawled out on the ground, quickly falling into a deep slumber.
Progress: 5%.
Symas assessed the situation and noted that the Charmander's leveling progress was significantly slower than that of the Witchwood. This was primarily because the Witchwood had been summoned from the pet altar. Pets summoned from the altar typically start with a progress of at least 10%, whereas those hatched from eggs begin at 0%. The fact that the Charmander had reached 5% just by consuming its eggshell was impressive.
"Ding! A sporadic fire attribute pet has been detected. Would you like to spend 1,000,000 federal coins to accelerate your pet's growth rate?"
"Yes!"
Symas made his decision without a moment's hesitation. The Charmander's combat prowess far surpassed that of the Witchwood.
"Ding! Federal coins have been successfully deducted!"
"Growth acceleration in progress. Black iron one-star breakthrough countdown: 9 hours..."
"Only nine hours to break through to black iron one star?"
"It's worth it," Symas thought, a glint of excitement in his eyes.
Raising a dragon-type pet was widely recognized as a challenging endeavor in the tamer community, given the substantial cost of their dietary needs. For an average tamer family, maintaining a dragon-type battle pet was a significant strain on resources.
In his past life as a black iron breeder at the Imperial College, Symas remembered a particularly talented student who owned an Argonian battle pet. The monthly expense for the pet's food alone exceeded 100,000 federal coins, and better-quality nourishment could run into the hundreds of thousands. Without substantial backing, the cost of pet food alone would be ruinous.
The Witchwood he had summoned also required the life blood of a black iron fire magical creature, and for an upgrade, it needed Blazebrew. This potent concoction was derived from fire flowers found in pet relics, and it was a staple in the diet of most market-available plant-type fire pets.
Only by doing so can his pets grow and thrive properly.
This is the result of over two hundred years of research on Orithyia, leading to the development of numerous pet evolutionary paths.
These are generally the most reliable methods. While other fire-attribute pet foods can be consumed, their effects haven't been confirmed by many tamers.
There have been numerous instances of pets being fed random food, resulting in mutations or even a decrease in their grade.
Moreover, within just over an hour,
the Witchwood's level had increased by 16%, a 4% improvement from before.
It was remarkable that such progress could be made without the pet food.
This was entirely due to the influence of the small fire nest.
Subsequently,
Symas exited the Void Territory and checked his federal account, only to find it was down by a million federal coins.
He was now left with 800,000 federal coins.
And he still needed to purchase pet food for the Charmander and Witchwood, which was yet another expense.
"Ding dong!"
Moments later,
the doorbell sounded.
To Symas's surprise, the visitor was none other than Baegla, Idod's father, a wealthy man from Littlewell.
Baegla, clad in a black suit, was accompanied by Idod and a robust middle-aged man with handsome features, who was carrying a box.
"Forgive the intrusion."
"I am Idod's father, Baegla. We owe a great debt to you, Symas, for helping our Mckinney family expose the Dark Order spy."
Baegla said warmly.
Symas was well aware of what Baegla was referring to.
"Uncle Baegla."
"Please come in. What I said was off the cuff; I've seen plenty about the Dark Order on the Pet's Home forum."
"It was just a stroke of luck."
After inviting them in, Symas offered an explanation.
Baegla maintained a warm smile, his expression unchanging.
"Regardless, our Mckinney family is in your debt. I've brought a modest gift and a black iron pet gift card from our company."
"With this card, you can select any black iron grade pet from our Mckinney family pet store."
After finishing his statement, Baegla pulled a black pet gift card from his pocket and set it down on the table.
The imposing middle-aged man in black, standing behind him, placed a box on the table before him.
"What a generous gift!"
Symas was taken aback upon seeing the card.
He hadn't anticipated this.
Baegla had given him a pet gift card without any black iron qualification restrictions. It was known that a pet with a six-star black iron aptitude, possessing combat potential, could fetch a market price of over five million federal coins—and that was just for starters.
Elite pets were valued at tens of millions each.
"Uncle Baegla, this is incredibly valuable."
Symas hadn't expected Baegla to give away so much.
"What, you think my Idod's life isn't worth this much?" Baegla spoke with a gentle tone.
Idod chimed in, "Symas, stop dawdling. It's rare for my dad to be this generous. Just accept it already. With this card, you can pick a battle pet with great aptitude. That way, you'll have the potential to attend Imperial College."
"We could be classmates."
Symas nodded, no longer declining. Baegla was indeed quite the figure.
Shortly thereafter, Baegla departed without lingering, mentioning that if Symas encountered any difficulties, he should feel free to reach out.
If it wasn't too troublesome, Baegla could take care of it.
Initially, Symas hadn't expected to receive anything from Baegla.
This turned out to be an unexpected windfall.
In his past life, after Idod's death, Baegla had been enraged, having only that one son.
He subsequently launched a frenzied campaign of vengeance against the Dark Order in Littlewell, eliminating many of its members.
Inside the room, Symas opened the box Baegla had given him. The first layer of the roughly twenty-inch box neatly contained sixty vials of Blazebrew, each shimmering with a captivating glow.
The second layer held ten black iron grade fire stones, each conforming to the federal standard size.
This was the most basic food for black iron level pets. The fire stones, brimming with stable fire attribute power, could accelerate a pet's evolution far quicker than consuming regular pet food.
Each bottle of Blazebrew costs no less than ten thousand federal coins, while a black iron grade fire stone is priced at twenty thousand.
In total, that would amount to nearly a million federal coins.
He had clearly heard Baegla's earlier remarks. By saving Idod's life, he had met Baegla's valuation of his son's life.
Baegla made a promise because he believed that his initial offer might have been somewhat undervalued.
