C8 Black Iron 6star Featherweed!
As dusk approached, Symas made his way directly to the Velociraptor Pet Shop, a subsidiary of the McKinney Family Group. The shop's sign featured a ferocious Velociraptor, a dragon-type battle pet hailing from the Jurassic era of Orithyia. The resemblance was uncanny, and thus, upon the emergence of this dragon-type battle pet, it was aptly named Velociraptor. Subsequently, many dinosaur battle pets reminiscent of the Jurassic period were discovered at various pet relics.
Baegla had generously provided a gift card, and with the pressing need to rapidly enhance his strength, Symas intended to put it to good use. Especially since revealing the existence of his Charmander after emerging from the battle pet tomb could draw unwanted attention from the Dark Order. Having additional means to confront adversaries was undoubtedly beneficial.
Upon entering the Velociraptor Pet Shop, Symas was greeted by a myriad of displays, each showcasing the mature form of battle pets through the magic of Light and Shadow Grass. Below each holographic display, detailed descriptions of each battle pet's aptitude were provided. The actual pet eggs, treasures from the relics, were preserved under special conditions and thus not on display.
Symas briefly perused the pet images before approaching the counter and presenting the black-gold gift card he had received from Baegla.
"Hello, esteemed guest!" greeted the attractive woman behind the counter, clad in a sleek black uniform. Her demeanor turned warm upon seeing the card in Symas's hand.
"Do you have Featherweed?" Symas inquired.
"Yes," she replied. "You're in luck! Just three days ago, our shop received a baby Featherweed with a six-star black iron aptitude. With your black gold card, you can make the exchange without any additional cost. Furthermore, we'll provide you with a piece of Breathwood soil, which can enhance the Featherweed's growth rate by over 20%."
The woman's smile was as bright as the prospects of the deal. "A six-star black iron aptitude will do nicely. I'll take it," Symas decided.
His mission was accomplished; he had come seeking an auxiliary pet and found exactly what he needed.
It's advantageous to have a pet that excels in speed, as this allows for a swift retreat in the face of danger, such as an assassination attempt.
Ultimately, the staff from the Velociraptor Pet Shop went the extra mile by dispatching a special vehicle to deliver a one-meter diameter piece of Breathwood soil to Symas' home. The soil weighed a hefty 50 kilograms. Despite the benefit of doubled strength, handling it still proved to be somewhat challenging.
Nestled within the Breathwood soil was a Featherweed baby, which had been awakened by Spirit Fluid. Resembling a ginseng, it measured about ten centimeters in length, with a pristine white body adorned by two green streaks along its back, reminiscent of blade marks.
Featherweed serves as a supplementary wind attribute pet. Upon reaching elite status, such pets gain the Feather Step skill, enabling them to conjure a pair of windfeathers and glide through the air. Additionally, some Featherweed possess offensive abilities. A black iron 6-star support pet of this caliber is quite a rarity, with only a handful existing throughout the entire Littlewell base city.
"Accepted."
After the Velociraptor staff departed, Symas confidently brought the Breathwood soil into the Void Territory. This time, the Featherweed did not join the Witchwood and Charmander in the small fire attribute pet nest.
"Ding! Detection of a wind attribute pet baby. Would you like to spend 200,000 federal coins to construct a level 0 miniature wind attribute pet nest?"
"A level 0 miniature nest, too!"
"That's 200,000 federal coins! Everything costs money!"
"Damn!"
"Construct!"
"The Featherweed needs to grow up quickly."
"Ding! Funds deducted, construction underway..."
Boom!
The earth trembled once again next to the small fire attribute pet nest. The ground fissured, and a massive floating rock, approximately ten meters in length, emerged, hovering one meter above the surface. The rock was topped with a layer of soil, which upon closer inspection, contained numerous fragments of wind spirit stones. The entire structure of the rock was crafted from a gigantic Hover Stone—a material of exceptional value, even though this particular Hover Stone was only of black iron quality.
As long as there is a Hover Stone the size of a fingernail, it's sufficient to elevate a wind attribute battle pet from a mere few stars to two stars. This clearly illustrates the immense value of the Hover Stone. The massive Hover Stone that Symas invested two hundred thousand federal coins in is undoubtedly worth over a hundred million federal coins.
Symas approached the Hover Stone and gently placed the Featherweed baby upon it. He scrutinized it closely and performed an attribute inspection.
Name: Featherweed
Grade: Black Iron, 6 stars
Attribute: Wind
Level: Scattered
Skill: Small Wind Blade
Buff: Feather Step (3 to 4 times speed enhancement)
Like the passive skill of the Charmander, this buff is applied to the pet's master. Typically, without a special technique to enhance the soul, a Black Iron level tamer can only form contracts with three pets. An elite tamer, however, can double this number once their pet reaches elite status, as it bolsters the soul strength of the owner.
Raising a multitude of pets is an enormous financial undertaking. Most elite tamers tend to keep four pets, selecting them based on their personal strategy and the roles they wish to fulfill. When one ascends to the Overlord Level, the number of pets they can contract doubles again, allowing an Overlord Level tamer to bond with nine battle pets.
Divine level tamers are often capable of contracting more than ten pets. Yet, they prioritize quality over quantity, focusing on nurturing their divine level battle pets. These pet skills typically require at least a one-star level to be unlocked.
Currently, within the Void Territory, Symas has three pets. Only the first, Witchwood, has made him feel a slight burden on his soul. The Charmander and Featherweed, on the other hand, haven't caused any noticeable strain. However, a profound sense of kinship emerged as they entered the Void Territory, suggesting a force beyond the soul contract that binds them together, creating a telepathic bond.
Symas pondered this phenomenon and concluded that it must be the influence of the Void Territory.
"If the power of the Void Territory is at play, then perhaps there's no limit to the number of pets I can contract."
The idea of an infinite number of pets flashed through Symas' mind, startling even himself with the possibilities.
If that's really the case, then it's utterly twisted!
He could even envision, with a dozen or so pet buffs bestowed upon him, transforming into a War God. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility for him to rampage against an overlord-tier magical creature in his human form.
