C6 Cultivation of Martial Arts

Upon returning to his quarters, Yu Kun wasted no time in pulling out the secret manual for the Great Vajra Palm.

"I need to learn the Great Vajra Palm, and fast," Yu Kun implored urgently.

A system alert responded, "To master the Great Vajra Palm, you must consume fifteen Spirit Stones simultaneously."

Yu Kun was taken aback. He tallied up his possessions and realized he had just over twenty Spirit Stones, all gifted by Chen Rui. Beyond that, he had nothing.

Swallowing fifteen Spirit Stones would leave him with virtually nothing. "I can't evolve without consuming them. So, consume them I shall!"

After a moment of contemplation, Yu Kun resolutely devoured the fifteen Spirit Stones. As he did, a flood of memories filled his mind.

"Could this be the complete Great Vajra Palm? Despite using up fifteen Spirit Stones, I've actually managed to learn it!" Overcome with elation, Yu Kun immediately executed the Great Vajra Palm, channeling his Astral Energy to pulverize the wall into dust.

"Incredible! This is merely the initial technique, Vajra Worshipping Moon. With this skill, I should match up to a warrior at the Peak of the Qi Refining Stage. If I can master the subsequent techniques, I might even defeat those within the Qi Refining Stage."

Yu Kun was aware, however, that his current level of skill did not permit him to perform the subsequent techniques of the Great Vajra Palm. As a Grade Four Martial Art, it required an immense amount of Astral Energy. At his current level, he could only just manage the first technique.

Yu Kun sensed that, although he had some Astral Energy remaining, he was incapable of unleashing Vajra Worshipping Moon a second time.

"The might of the Great Vajra Palm is truly formidable, a testament to the pinnacle of the Flying Cloud Sect's Martial Arts. Now that I've mastered Vajra Worshipping Moon, I won't be easily bested in future confrontations."

With this thought, Yu Kun continued his training, this time without deploying his Astral Energy, focusing instead on perfecting the motions of the Great Vajra Palm.

The Leviathan-roc System enabled Yu Kun to learn the Great Vajra Palm by absorbing items, yet it didn't grant him full mastery over the technique. To truly master this fourth-grade martial art, Yu Kun had to practice relentlessly.

Having recently consumed some Spirit Stones and a Space Ring, Yu Kun needed time to assimilate them before he could advance to the Intermediate Qi Refining Stage. This period provided the perfect opportunity to refine his Great Vajra Palm technique.

"Once I reach the Intermediate Qi Refining Stage, I should be able to execute the Vajra Worshipping Moon twice. But to perform the second move, Vajra Subduing Tiger, I'll need to ascend to the High Qi Refining Stage," Yu Kun mused as he diligently worked on perfecting the Vajra Palm's forms.

Meanwhile, Chen Rui had made his way to the Flying Cloud Sect's Inner Sect and encountered a fellow Inner Sect disciple who bore a striking resemblance to him, clearly indicating they were kin. Yet, this disciple exuded a chill of aloofness and pride.

The Inner Sect disciple regarded Chen Rui coolly and inquired, "Chen Rui, what brings you to the Inner Sect to find me?"

With a nervous tone, Chen Rui replied, "Brother Chen Feng, I was attacked today."

Chen Feng scoffed upon hearing this. "Given your nature, you probably went looking for trouble and got what you deserved."

Chen Rui's embarrassment deepened.

He tried to clarify, "I was merely beaten and robbed of a few belongings."

Chen Feng responded with scorn, "Don't come to me just because you got beaten. Go improve your strength and seek your own revenge."

Feeling helpless, Chen Rui admitted, "It wasn't just a beating; they also took my Space Ring."

Chen Feng's eyes snapped open, a flicker of rage crossing his face. "A Space Ring is quite valuable. Someone dared to rob the Chen family? Did you not reveal who you are?"

Chen Rui's spirits lifted at the reaction. He quickly elaborated, "I did disclose my identity, but he was relentless, claiming he was entitled to take my possessions. I couldn't overpower him, so I need your help to get revenge!"

Chen Feng let out a derisive snort. "If he's bold enough to rob the Chen family, then it's my duty to set him straight. Give me his name, and I'll get your revenge within a few days."

Impatient, Chen Rui pressed, "How much longer will you need?"

With another cold snort, Chen Feng replied, "I need to head to the Cultivation Room for training. I'm aiming for a breakthrough in my realm to climb the ranks among the Inner Sect disciples! I can't afford to put off my own cultivation just to avenge you. But don't worry, I've got this."

Flexing his fingers, Chen Feng spoke with calm assurance, "Whoever hit you doesn't stand a chance against me. Give me a few days to emerge from the Cultivation Room, and then I'll take care of your vendetta."

Elated, Chen Rui wasted no time in revealing Yu Kun's name and filled Chen Feng in on all the details about him before departing from the Inner Sect of the Flying Cloud Sect.

Walking away, a wave of exhilaration washed over Chen Rui.

"Yu Kun, you're nothing but a commoner. You're no match for me! In just a few days, my brother will come for you, and you'll have no choice but to hand over that Space Ring. And if we end up beating you to death and casting you out of the Flying Cloud Sect, don't expect anyone to come to your aid!"

Lost in his vengeful fantasies, Chen Rui couldn't contain his laughter, echoing into the sky.

Three days on, the Leviathan-roc System had fully integrated, and Yu Kun's realm had ascended to the Intermediate Rank of the Qi Refining Stage.

Yu Kun's experience points had now hit the mark of 650 out of 5000, a number that made his head spin.

"If I were to convert these points into Spirit Stones, I'd need to cough up fifty of them. Chen Rui doesn't even have that many—how could I possibly come up with fifty Spirit Stones?" The thought alone was daunting.

But Yu Kun found solace in his status as an Elite Disciple. "Every month, I get twenty hours of cultivation in the Cultivation Room. I've heard the room is brimming with Spiritual Energy, sourced directly from the Earth's veins—far purer than what you find in Spirit Stones. This should significantly boost my experience."

Lost in thought, Yu Kun strode out of his room and made a beeline for the Cultivation Room.

The Leviathan-roc System required a tremendous amount of experience to upgrade, and Yu Kun was acutely aware that the support of an Elite Disciple wouldn't suffice. His ambitions stretched further; he needed to ascend to the status of an Inner Sect disciple within the Flying Cloud Sect, or better yet, become a Direct Disciple.

Yet, those aspirations were for another time.

At present, Yu Kun had only just achieved the Intermediate Rank in the Qi Refining Stage. The path to becoming an Inner Sect disciple was still long, and the prospect of becoming a Direct Disciple was even more distant.
