C9 Triggering a Commotion

The Cultivation Room was stark in its simplicity, furnished with nothing more than a single futon. Clearly, those who ventured here were intent on cultivating their skills, not indulging in luxury.

"Indeed, this place is a stark contrast to the outside world! Just stepping into the Cultivation Room and taking a few breaths, I can sense the presence of Spiritual Energy. The Vital Energy here is far more vibrant than that within a Spirit Stone, undoubtedly of a superior quality!" Yu Kun marveled, inhaling deeply with a hint of astonishment.

Spirit Stones contained Vital Energy, but it felt lifeless, devoid of vigor. While useful for cultivation, the benefits were minimal.

Yet, within the Cultivation Room, Yu Kun encountered a Spiritual Energy that was entirely different.

Seated cross-legged on the futon, he wasted no time in engaging the Leviathan-roc System.

Almost immediately, he sensed a current of Spiritual Energy rising from beneath the futon, enveloping him like a flowing stream. The Leviathan-roc System channeled this energy through his body, invigorating every limb and bone.

"Such intense Spiritual Energy! Is all the energy in this Cultivation Room this powerful?" Yu Kun was initially taken aback but quickly came to terms with it.

"Of course, this is my first time in the Cultivation Room. It's only natural that I'm not accustomed to such potent Spiritual Energy. This is pure, natural energy drawn directly from the earth's veins, incomparable to what's found in Spirit Stones! I must concentrate on my cultivation."

Putting aside all distractions, Yu Kun focused solely on the workings of the Leviathan-roc System.

The Spiritual Energy flowed through his meridians, completing a full circuit before converging in what would be the Qi Sea.

However, Yu Kun lacked a Qi Sea, so after a complete cycle, the Leviathan-roc System absorbed the Spiritual Energy.

Simultaneously, Yu Kun noted a change in the Growth Value of the system.

"6515000? To think that just one cycle of circulating Spiritual Energy could increase my Growth Value, even by a small amount! It may not seem significant, but I plan to cultivate here for ten hours. Perhaps after that time, I'll be ready to ascend to a higher realm!"

Yu Kun's heart swelled with joy as he fully engaged the Leviathan-roc System, voraciously absorbing the Spiritual Energy within the Cultivation Room.

Simultaneously, his Growth Value soared steadily.

As Yu Kun frenziedly consumed Spiritual Energy to elevate his realm, other cultivators seated cross-legged in the Cultivation Room snapped their eyes open in astonishment.

"What's happening? Why has the Spiritual Energy from the earth's core diminished so abruptly?"

"Damn it! I was on the verge of a breakthrough with just one more session of cultivation today. Why has the Spiritual Energy from the core become so scarce? Who's siphoning the Spiritual Energy from the Cultivation Room?"

"Is the Spiritual Energy depleting? I barely managed to secure a spot in the Cultivation Room!"

Beneath this tier of Cultivation Rooms lay another, far more superior in quality. Anyone who sampled the Spiritual Energy here would notice it was more than triple that of the level above.

Yaen Hongling had just emerged from this elite Cultivation Room.

Now, a similar disturbance unfolded in the Cultivation Room on this underground level.

Numerous warriors blinked open their eyes, visibly taken aback.

Their attire starkly contrasted with those above; they were all Inner Sect disciples.

Among them were a handful of Elite Disciples whose cultivation levels rivaled those of the Inner Sect members.

At this juncture, these Elite Disciples were equally astounded.

"Who's attempting a breakthrough? To snatch away such a vast amount of Spiritual Energy in one fell swoop! Cursed be!"

"Could it be a Grade B master on the brink of a breakthrough in the Cultivation Room below? No one else could possibly hoard so much Spiritual Energy so quickly."

It was revealed that this subterranean level housed the Grade C Cultivation Rooms of the Flying Cloud Sect!

At this moment, the inhabitants of both the Grade D and Grade C Cultivation Rooms were reeling in surprise. Those in the Grade B Cultivation Room below were equally staggered.

The disciples here, though also of the Inner Sect, boasted even greater cultivation prowess than those above. Indeed, should these disciples venture to the Cultivation Room one level up, their formidable strength would utterly overwhelm everyone in the Grade C Cultivation Room.

But now, the Inner Sect disciples were all taken aback.

Directly beneath the Grade B Cultivation Room lay the Grade A Cultivation Room—the most prestigious training space within the Flying Cloud Sect.

Despite its modest size, the Grade A Cultivation Room was reserved for the sect's elite: top masters, Direct Disciples, past generation disciples, and even Elders.

Within one of these rooms, a striking man slowly opened his eyes, his gaze betraying an unmistakable astonishment.

"The Cultivation Room taps into the earth's veins, drawing in the Spiritual Energy within. The deeper the room, the denser the energy. Normally, the Spiritual Energy is consistent at each level. How could there suddenly be such a drastic reduction? Could it be that someone is at a pivotal moment in their training, absorbing massive amounts of Spiritual Energy for a breakthrough?"

Puzzled, he stood and left the Cultivation Room.

In the hallway, he noticed several other rooms had also opened their doors. Heads popped out, faces etched with confusion.

Though the Grade A Cultivation Room was populated with the sect's most skilled practitioners, Direct Disciples, and even Elders, they all greeted him with deferential bows.

He gestured dismissively, reassuring them, "No need for formalities, and no cause for alarm! It seems someone is on the verge of a breakthrough, drawing heavily on the Spiritual Energy. This is a fortuitous sign for our Flying Cloud Sect!"

His words eased the tension. An Elder, stroking his beard, chuckled, "Judging by this commotion, one of our Direct Disciples must be advancing! We may very well be witnessing the rise of the youngest Elder in the history of the Flying Cloud Sect!"

The other Elders joined in the speculation.

"I'd wager it's Gu Leshan! With his exceptional talent, a breakthrough is well within reach!"

"Or perhaps it's Ling Jianfei! His swordsmanship is unparalleled; this could be his moment."

The discussion buzzed with various theories, yet no consensus was reached. Eventually, they all abandoned the debate and returned to their Cultivation Rooms.

Despite the now-diluted Spiritual Energy, their dedication to cultivation remained unshaken.

Ten hours flew by in an instant.

After a full ten hours, Yu Kun, the instigator behind the turmoil in the Flying Cloud Sect's Cultivation Room, emerged from within.

He stretched languidly, feeling invigorated and clear-headed.

"The Spiritual Energy in this Cultivation Room is truly plentiful. It's boosted my Growth Value to 2781 and even fortified my body. It's no surprise that everyone's eager to train here! Sadly, I'm limited to just ten hours of cultivation."

With that thought, a tinge of melancholy washed over him.
