The fortune-teller said that I was destinated to deal with the dead for the rest of my life. So I chose to be a medical examiner, wandering between life and death. In ancient times, it was called coroner and was regarded as an ominous person. Over the years, I had been involved in all sorts of bizarre cases, and I had recorded the horrors of these strangers in a notebook that I had never dared to open to the public.
