C6 Entering.
As he ventured deeper into the dense forest, the cacophony of insects and the roars of beasts grew increasingly vivid. Yet Mo Fann was undaunted, his gaze resolute as he swiftly navigated through the underbrush that reached nearly waist-high.
Suddenly, a blood-scented gale surged toward the nape of his neck. Heh, was this a death wish? Mo Fann chuckled without looking back, extending his claws and viciously swiping at the air behind him. The forest erupted with flashes of lightning, followed by the unmistakable sound of searing flesh. A demon beast howled in agony before crashing into the undergrowth.
Turning, Mo Fann delivered a powerful kick, sending the smoldering creature soaring. With a flick of his wrist, he wove a net of lightning, trapping the beast mid-air. His voice was a cold, ominous echo, "I have no interest in what you are. Just tell me where the demon tiger resides."
The creature trembled and wept, petrified by his tone. "Master, please... Who are you, master? The Demon Slayers forbid humans from leaving the city..."
Impatient, Mo Fann tightened the electric web. "Enough with the nonsense!" Another scream pierced the air as the beast was jolted by the lightning.
"I'll talk! Just stop the electricity! The demon tiger rules this territory and dwells atop Roaring Tiger Mountain deep within the forest. Go there; it's likely still asleep at this hour!" The demon whimpered, its tears flowing as it lamented its misfortune of crossing paths with such a formidable foe.
Mo Fann was unmoved, his intent clear. "Lead the way." The creature had no choice but to cautiously guide him, dragging the lightning net toward the heart of Tiger's Howl Mountain.
Upon reaching a shadowy cave, the demon shrank back, halting. "Master, the demon tiger lurks within these depths." Mo Fann, deeming the guide expendable, casually flung the creature away with a crackle of electricity, sending it flying hundreds of meters.
Disinterested in the cacophony of terror and the assault of wildlife outside the cave, Mo Fann strode confidently inside. The air was thick with the stench of blood and decay.
Before he could survey the interior, a chilling wind sliced through the cave toward him. "Who dares disturb your lord's slumber?!" A deafening roar echoed from the depths.
The roar charged toward the entrance, and in an instant, Mo Fann glimpsed the massive, icy claws of the tiger slashing through the air. 'Well, well,' he thought, 'it's come right to me.'
With a smirk, Mo Fann summoned the Divine Elephant Strangle Hell Technique. The young elephant within his Dantian responded to his call, issuing a sonorous bellow.
The sound wave reverberated, silencing the chaotic stampede outside. Every creature lay trembling in the underbrush, too petrified to move. They sensed an overwhelming divine presence, a threat like no other they had ever encountered, crushing their will to resist.
The demon tiger halted abruptly, not daring to advance on Mo Fann. It stood ten meters away, eyeing him with a mix of shock and bewilderment.
Now Mo Fann took a proper look at the demon tiger. Perhaps still groggy from sleep, the tiger was fully beast-like, though it stood upright. Its fur bore the patterns of dark clouds, its claws gleamed menacingly, its eyes were a bloodthirsty red, and its fangs protruded fiercely.
At first glance, it was clear that this creature was far more formidable than the wolf demons from the previous night.
At that moment, the demon tiger swallowed nervously and spoke with a tense growl.
"Insolent human, ignorant of life and death! Why leave the safety of your city to court death at my doorstep? Do you even know who backs my territory? No matter your strength, I suggest you beat it—now!"
Despite his obvious trepidation towards Mo Fann, the demon tiger's pride wouldn't allow it to back down, and it continued to bluster aggressively.
Mo Fann shook his head, his disappointment palpable.
So much for the vaunted Earth Level experts.
In the blink of an eye, before the demon tiger could muster a response, Mo Fann surged forward in silence, his hand brandishing a blade of pure lightning.
This was the technique from the Lightning Nine Scrolls: the God Destroying Lightning Blade.
The blade, sparking with electricity, cleaved a path straight for the demon tiger's neck. The beast, caught off guard, couldn't evade in time. Despite its desperate attempt to dodge, the lightning blade carved a brutal gash from shoulder to belly.
Instantly, the air crackled with electricity, and the scent of singed flesh filled the cave. A pain that seemed to reach the marrow of its bones shot through the demon tiger's skull, sending it into a blind rage.
Its eyes, glowing with a bloody hue, flashed ominously as it let out a thunderous roar.
The demon tiger swelled in size, its fangs doubling in length, as it lunged at Mo Fann with a blood-red orb of light forming in its maw.
The orb, along with the tiger's claw, hurtled towards Mo Fann's face.
Mo Fann merely sneered and with a casual flick of his wrist, a shadowy elephant wreathed in lightning appeared, deflecting the tiger's claw and causing the orb to dissipate dreamily into the air.
The demon tiger was left utterly bewildered.
Wasting no further time, Mo Fann, wielding the God Slaying Blade, delivered a decisive strike.
The blade pierced the demon tiger's neck, and the bloodlust in its eyes faded to a dull gray. The beast then collapsed heavily onto the cave floor.
A cloud of ancient dust billowed up, prompting Mo Fann to cover his nose.
Damn, that stench was potent.
Glancing back, Mo Fann noted with satisfaction that the other demons outside the cave were too petrified to approach.
Enjoying the peace, he advanced, still covering his nose, and retrieved his prepared tools.
The wound from the God Extermination Blade had already cauterized into a charred slab of flesh. Mo Fann made another incision, collecting the flowing demonic blood into a bottle.
He then harvested the demon tiger's Demonic Pill from its belly, gathering all the valuable materials that would aid Bai Jiuyan in her recovery and cultivation.
After his thorough plundering, he exited the cave.
Breathing in the fresh air deeply, Mo Fann strolled nonchalantly along the forest path, unbothered by any demon beasts.
Securing the items for Bai Jiuyan, he evaded various patrols and made it home just in time for lunch.
Standing at his doorstep, he sniffed meticulously, ensuring no trace of tiger musk or blood lingered on him. Only then did he confidently knock on the door.
