C2 Kill All Those Who Deserve to be Killed.!

The night deepened, and a chill settled over Qingzhou City. The streets lay silent and empty, not a stray dog or cat in sight.

In stark contrast stood the Warren Hotel, a beacon of life and luxury that thrived in every season.

It was, without a doubt, the most renowned luxury club in Qingzhou. Only those of wealth and high standing dared to cross its threshold.

Luo Cheng swore under his breath before striding toward the door with a fury.

He hadn't anticipated the door being violently kicked open. Caught off guard, his head slammed against it, and he cried out in pain, dazed by the blow.

As Luo Cheng looked up, seething, the sight of Pei Junlin's face stopped him short. "It's just you, the worthless one!"

But before Luo Cheng could finish, a heavy slap struck his face, sending blood and two teeth flying. He screamed again, this time in sheer agony.

Pei Junlin watched Luo Cheng's suffering with a frosty gaze. Slowly, the man before him merged with a figure from his memories.

Three years prior, Luo Cheng had been among those who drove the Pei family to ruin. Though not the ringleader, he had been complicit.

Pei Junlin had never imagined he'd encounter Luo Cheng so soon after his rebirth.

"You son of a bitch, you dare strike me!"

Eventually, Luo Cheng regained his composure. A Luo family member through and through, he maintained his poise despite his spoiled ways. Clutching his bleeding mouth, he pointed at Pei Junlin with eyes full of malice.

"I had thought to spare you a few more days of life. But now, it seems tonight is the night you die. Bodyguard!"

The only response was a heavy silence; the outside world seemed devoid of life.

A sense of dread washed over Luo Cheng.

"Calling for your lackeys? Let me tell you, they're all dead," Pei Junlin stated coolly.

What?

Startled, Luo Cheng looked up, fixing his gaze on the young man before him. Then, with a twisted smile, he burst into laughter. "They say the Wang family has a good-for-nothing son-in-law, a man with no talent who's full of empty boasts. I never believed it, but now, it seems it's true!"

Luo Cheng, who had been roaring with laughter, suddenly choked as if an unseen giant hand had seized his throat. His eyes bulged in terror, and the next second, he unleashed a piercing scream, "A ghost!"

He had just witnessed a ghastly green flame sprouting from Pei Junlin's fingertips.

The flame's hue was particularly horrifying, reminiscent of the fires of the deepest hell. Concurrently, the room's temperature plummeted, sending shivers of icy cold through Luo Cheng.

"Now, do you believe that your henchmen met their end at my hands?"

The icy voice pierced Luo Cheng's thoughts. He collapsed to the floor as a foul smell filled the air – Luo Cheng had wet himself in terror.

"You're not Pei Junlin! Who in the world are you?"

Luo Cheng's voice trembled with fear, his face drained of color.

He was met with nothing but a cold, indifferent chuckle.

"Luo Cheng, do you recall the Pei family that was expelled from Qingzhou City three years ago?" Pei Junlin's voice was hauntingly calm.

Shock widened Luo Cheng's eyes, and in a flash, his face turned ashen. He gasped, "You're..."

But Pei Junlin had no interest in hearing Luo Cheng out. With a casual flick of his finger, the green flame drifted down onto Luo Cheng's prone form, as light and graceful as a falling petal.

Pei Junlin, however, spared no glance for the outcome. He strode over to the sofa, lifted the still-unconscious Wang Ziqiong, and with another flick, incinerated the nearby video camera. Then he turned and walked away.

It wasn't until Pei Junlin had left with Wang Ziqiong in his arms that Luo Cheng, sprawled on the ground, realized he hadn't died.

"I'm alive! Pei Junlin, you fiend! I will have my revenge!"

His vow was cut short by a sudden scream. Luo Cheng looked down to see his own body ablaze.

The sinister green flame consumed his flesh from the soles of his feet upwards, agony piercing to the very core of his being.

Desperate to scream, Luo Cheng found his voice stifled by an unseen force, leaving him silent in his torment.

Luo Cheng was destined to shoulder all the agony by himself!

With a silent roar, Luo Cheng writhed on the floor.

The green flames intensified, slowly engulfing his entire body until Luo Cheng finally vanished into thin air.

Yet, bizarrely, everything in the room remained untouched by the fire, showing no signs of damage.
