C7 Since She Had Made a Mistake, She Had to Accept Her Punishment.!

"Ziqiong!"

At the very moment Pei Junlin unleashed his fury, every member of the Wang family in the living room was petrified with fear. The more faint-hearted among them collapsed to the floor, their faces drained of color, eyes wide with panic.

"Damn you, release my sister!" A voice, laced with terror, rang out. Wang Ziyu charged at Pei Junlin, seething with rage.

Yet, before Wang Ziyu could even reach Pei Junlin, he emitted an invisible force that knocked her back, sending her tumbling to the ground.

"Junlin! Please, we're begging you, let Ziqiong go, will you?"

Wang Haishan and Qin Yan's faces were ashen, the shock seeming to age them by a decade. With only two daughters to their name, the thought of harm coming to either was unbearable.

"She didn't mean to offend you. Whatever her mistake, she's still your wife!"

Tears streamed down Qin Yan's face as she approached, her voice quivering.

The sight softened the edges of Pei Junlin's rage. Memories of his own parents' gentle faces from three years prior surfaced—he too had once been enveloped in such protective love.

Almost instantly, Pei Junlin's animosity diminished, especially after Qin Yan's plea: "Whatever her mistake, she's still your wife." His gaze finally softened as he turned to Wang Ziqiong.

But to his surprise, the woman he had underestimated showed no sign of fear. Instead, her face was etched with scorn, her laugh cold and mocking as she met his stare head-on.

"So you think you're all-powerful? Then go ahead, kill me today!" Wang Ziqiong spat out defiantly, her disdain for Pei Junlin's lethal presence palpable. She continued to struggle and curse, a stark contrast to her usual demeanor of a detached and dignified president.

Pei Junlin's irritation reached a boiling point. In all his years, no woman besides his mentor, the Goddess Linglong, had ever dared to challenge him in such a manner.

"Enough!"

In a fit of vexation, Pei Junlin pulled Wang Ziqiong into his embrace. And there, before the astonished Wang family, he delivered several sharp spanks to her behind!

Indeed, the tactic proved to be incredibly effective. Wang Ziqiong, who had been frantically struggling in his embrace, suddenly went still.

Pei Junlin breathed a sigh of relief. The last thing he needed was for word of today's incident to spread throughout the Myriad Worlds—that would be a major blow to his reputation.

Just then, Pei Junlin became acutely aware of an eerie shift in the atmosphere. Glancing up, he found the entire Wang family gaping at him, their expressions a mix of shock and disbelief.

Even Wang Ziyu, seated on the floor, was staring at him with eyes wide as saucers.

Pei Junlin blinked, momentarily at a loss.

Out of nowhere, Wang Ziqiong, who had seemed to settle down, let out a piercing scream. Red-faced with embarrassment and rage, she lunged at him once more.

"I've put up with you for far too long!" Even the usually unflappable Pei Junlin couldn't help but swear. He seized the furious Wang Ziqiong. But she was hell-bent on defying him. With her hands restrained, she resorted to opening her mouth wide in an attempt to bite him.

The anger Pei Junlin had managed to quell flared up instantly. "Damn it, it looks like you're in dire need of a lesson!" he snapped.

Then, to the astonishment of the Wang family, he hoisted the writhing Wang Ziqiong into his arms and marched up to the second floor. A moment later, a resounding thud echoed as the bedroom door slammed shut.

"No one is to come upstairs!" Pei Junlin's commanding voice filled the villa.

The living room fell into a stunned silence.

Despite the distance of a floor between them, the sounds of a fierce commotion from the bedroom above were unmistakable, punctuated by intermittent screams.

Unable to contain herself, Wang Ziyu sprang to her feet, fuming, "That jerk! How dare he treat my sister like that?" Her face turned a deep shade of red with anger, and she was poised to storm upstairs to intervene.

But Mrs. Wang held her younger daughter back, urging, "Ziyu, wait!"

Wang Ziyu, still seething, protested, "Mom, how can you be so indifferent? How can you stand by while that jerk bullies my sister?" Her indignation was palpable, her chest heaving with every heated word.

Mrs. Wang's expression gradually shifted to one of embarrassment as she overheard the changing tone of her daughter's voice from upstairs. It wasn't just her; many in the living room, members of the Wang family, wore peculiar looks and exchanged awkward glances.

Trying to soothe her younger daughter, Mrs. Wang reassured her, "In this world, all couples argue! Don't worry, they'll make up soon. Let's just wait a bit longer."

Wang Ziyu, frustrated and powerless, slumped into a chair.

After what felt like an eternity, nearly an hour, they finally heard movement from above. The Wangs, who had been on edge, looked up to see Pei Junlin descending the stairs. His typically stoic face now bore a hint of post-relaxation satisfaction.

"Bastard, what have you done to my sister?" Wang Ziyu demanded, her anger palpable.

Pei Junlin gave her a dismissive glance, clearly uninterested in addressing such an absurd question. Instead, he turned his cold gaze to the seated Wang family members and inquired, "Earlier, while I was upstairs, did I overhear some talk of selling off Mighty Eagle Security shares?"

The Wangs, whose composure had been slowly returning, were visibly shaken by his words.

"Junlin, we were just speaking out of frustration. You can't take that seriously!" the eldest Wang uncle explained, his voice tinged with fear.

"Exactly! Junlin, your uncle was only kidding!" chimed in the second uncle, second aunt, and others, all smiles.

"You may not have meant it, but I took it to heart," Pei Junlin retorted with a cold laugh and a mocking tone.

His Divine Sense had enveloped the villa while he was meditating upstairs, allowing him to witness firsthand the behavior of these so-called relatives, and he found them utterly repugnant—especially in their sycophantic display towards the Luo Family Head.

"Today, I want all your shares on the table! We're ready to buy them out," Pei Junlin declared, settling comfortably into the sofa.

The Wang family sat in stunned silence, wondering if they had misheard.

But Pei Junlin was resolute. Without sparing another glance at his so-called kin, he instructed his sister-in-law, "Wang Ziyu, go upstairs and bring your sister down."

Wang Ziyu had a rather poor impression of her brother-in-law. Upon hearing his request, she immediately challenged him, "Why should I be the one to go?" But before she could get all her words out, Pei Junlin's icy gaze caught her off guard, sending a shiver down her spine. With that, she reluctantly trudged upstairs.

Not long after, Wang Ziyu's voice echoed from above, "My sister says she's not coming down!"

Pei Junlin, who had been lounging on the sofa, narrowed his eyes and responded coolly, "Then relay to her that if she refuses to come down, I'll extend her punishment by an hour."

Wang Ziyu dutifully passed the message to her sister. Roughly fifteen minutes later, two stunning women made their way to the top of the stairs.

Yet, the observant members of the Wang family couldn't help but notice that Wang Ziqiong had changed her attire, and her gait seemed somewhat awkward. Throughout it all, she maintained a frosty glare directed at Pei Junlin, who remained seated on the sofa.

Unperturbed, Pei Junlin continued to crack melon seeds between his teeth, murmuring to himself, "Mistakes come with consequences; you must face your punishment."

He then announced, "Darling, we've acquired all of your family's shares in Mighty Eagle Security!"

Caught off guard by his declaration, Wang Ziqiong shot back with a frigid retort, "I'm broke!"
