C3 Kidnapping That Has Been Planned for a Long Time

Wang Gang's terror was not unfounded.

Zhong Yanan was not only the senior vice president of Longhua Company but also the de facto controlling shareholder of the food enterprise.

Despite her youth, she possessed a fortune in the hundreds of millions. Her uncle held a senior position in the city's police department, well-acquainted with virtually every high-ranking official in J City.

Crossing her was a guaranteed recipe for trouble.

"Boss, you'd better return what you took and hope for leniency," Wang Gang urged, his face contorted with fear.

Yet, Qin Feng remained serenely confident, setting down his glass as he spoke. "Firstly, Zhong Yanan owns multiple villas. This particular one is quite secluded. She seldom visits, so the chances of her noticing anything amiss so soon are slim."

"Secondly, even if she does notice, it's of no consequence. I have ample means to ensure her silence."

Qin Feng spoke with conviction, intimately acquainted with the woman in question.

In this life, Zhong Yanan might not recognize Qin Feng, a mere low-level employee, but in his past life—post-apocalypse—he had been her lifesaver.

Furthermore, she had ultimately joined Group A of the Dragon Shield Bureau.

Thus, Qin Feng was privy to a wealth of information about her.

Moreover, she was a pivotal figure in Qin Feng's Apocalypse Plan.

Wang Gang, oblivious to these facts, believed Qin Feng had lost his mind and blurted out in desperation, "Qin Feng, it doesn't matter to me how you came by this information or what you're scheming. All I see is that you're flirting with danger. Aren't you afraid of ending up behind bars?"

His voice was hoarse with panic, but Qin Feng silenced him with a simple question, "Gang, do you trust me?"

Wang Gang was taken aback, at a loss for words.

They had grown up together—his trust in Qin Feng was implicit.

And Qin Feng's trust in Wang Gang was equally steadfast, which is why he had involved him in his plans.

"Now, you'll stay here in the villa and keep watch over these supplies. I'll fill you in on everything when the time is right."

Qin Feng locked eyes with Wang Gang and challenged him, "Are you up for this?"

Wang Gang opened his mouth to ask another question, but Qin Feng was already on his feet. "If you consider me a friend, trust me on this one. Don't ask for reasons. I assure you, my actions won't be a burden to you; they'll actually bring you benefits beyond your wildest dreams."

"Alright then!" Wang Gang conceded, dropping further inquiries.

He continued to gaze at Qin Feng's stoic face, sensing a stark transformation from the man he once knew. Previously, Qin Feng had been timid, indecisive.

But since waking up a few hours ago, there was a marked change in his demeanor that Wang Gang couldn't quite grasp.

He was in the dark about what Qin Feng had endured during the decade-long apocalypse.

Without offering any explanation, Qin Feng turned and strode toward the balcony atop the villa. He surveyed the dazzling neon skyline and the coastal fringe of the city with a heavy gaze.

Only two months remained before the apocalypse would fully unleash its fury.

Qin Feng had etched every detail of the impending super disaster in his memory.

Come October 17th, this seaside metropolis would face the wrath of a colossal tsunami.

He had brought Wang Gang to Clouds Peak Villa to leverage its elevation and terrain to evade the initial deluge.

Yet, simply seeking higher ground was hardly sufficient.

Post-tsunami, the world would witness the emergence of bloodthirsty monsters from the abyss, turning the human realm into a living nightmare.

These mutated beasts were not only ferocious but equipped with lethal fangs and claws, unlike any ordinary predator. Their capacity for destruction was immense, capable of laying waste to Blue Star.

With their arrival, humans, once apex predators, would plummet to the nadir of the natural order.

Blue Star was on the brink of becoming a gladiatorial arena for these creatures' macabre entertainment.

Qin Feng's priority was to regain his strength before the catastrophe struck to ensure his survival.

And as he fought for his life, he was also scheming to warn a certain individual of the looming cataclysm.

Unfortunately, Qin Feng currently lacked the credentials to meet that person.

He couldn't just take a megaphone to the city center and proclaim the impending apocalypse.

Doing so would only lead to Qin Feng being dismissed as a madman and confined to a psychiatric ward.

Moreover, he needed to reconnect with his former comrades and form a new Dragon Shield Bureau to help execute his ultimate Apocalypse Plan.

Gazing into the gloomy sky, Qin Feng whispered, "Time is critical. God has granted me so little of it; I must act swiftly!"

Meanwhile, unseen by Qin Feng, Wang Gang crouched in a corner, bewilderedly clutching his phone.

At about 10 p.m. on the 17th, Qin Feng, clad in a black trench coat and sunglasses, stood outside the gates of No. 1 High School in J City.

He found a hidden spot and took out his old cell phone, aiming it at the school entrance.

Qin Feng wasn't there to capture the school's ambiance; he was waiting for someone.

Indeed, within ten minutes, the voices of several young students emerged from the entrance.

A tall, slender boy caught Qin Feng's attention.

His name was Sun Lei, a senior at No. 1 High School.

Qin Feng was there expressly for him.

Yet, as Sun Lei walked out with classmates, bidding them farewell at the gate, Qin Feng kept his distance.

Still concealed in the shadows, he used his phone's camera to meticulously track Sun Lei's every move after he exited the gate.

Before long, Sun Lei was alone. He yawned and headed for an alley near the school, intent on getting home for some rest.

But as he approached the alley, a silver-gray van pulled up on the street.

Several burly figures emerged, their faces obscured by stockings and knives in hand.

"Freeze!"

Without a moment's hesitation, the men lunged at Sun Lei, knocking him to the ground. They quickly smothered him with a handkerchief they had at the ready.

Undoubtedly, it was a case of abduction.

The perpetrators acted with swift precision, their efficiency betraying meticulous planning. Sun Lei, a student yet to make his mark on the world, was powerless against the sudden assault.

In no time, the criminals had bundled him into a burlap sack and sped off in their van.

Qin Feng, a witness to the entire episode, made no move to intervene. Instead, he saved the video on his phone, then rose to his feet with a smirk, watching as the van disappeared into the distance.

He wasn't there to thwart the abduction; his sole intent was to capture footage of Sun Lei's capture.

With the scene recorded, Qin Feng turned away, his face a mask of indifference, and strolled down the deserted street.

"Now's the time to visit that elder."
