C7 Fortuitous Encounter

Outside Coleman City, in a cemetery far away from the city.

A black aura of unease began to emanate from Linley's body, but right now, it was as though Linley didn't notice it.

The black, ominous aura slowly began to cover Linley's entire body. Just as it was about to spread to Linley's left hand, the icy-blue gem embedded in his left palm suddenly began to glow with a cool light.

The black aura that had spread to Linley's left hand was like a thin layer of ice that had met with fire, instantly disappearing without a trace. Immediately afterwards, the black aura seemed to have encountered its natural enemy, quickly disappearing from Linley's body.

Linley felt a cool feeling spread from the bottom of his heart, and his savage face slowly began to calm down. Linley raised his left hand, turning his gaze towards the gem embedded in his left palm. He thought of what the woman in robes had told him before. "There is a wild beast hidden within your body, although it has only been sleeping."

Linley rubbed his chest. As he imagined the wild beast in his body, his expression slowly grew firmer.

(Beast in my body, if you can hear me, please give me the power to take revenge!)

Linley had waited for a long time, but no response from that beast which might have been within his body. He couldn't help but laugh mockingly at himself.

"Remember, only treasures suited for you are the best treasures. Don't try to be the strongest, the power you cannot control will only be a disaster for you." — That old man from the Lin Clan who had tested his strength before, his earnest words suddenly appeared in Linley's mind. Following that, the robed woman's warning appeared, "Be careful of that beast in your body, don't be controlled by it."

"Don't let the hatred wash over you, idiot!" With his left hand, Linley delivered a vicious punch to his head, then smashed himself into the pile of graves.

After a while, Linley slowly crawled out of the grave, shaking his still dizzy head. Letting out a breath, he said, "I just became a Dou Ling. I wasn't able to grasp onto my strength, so I used a bit too much force." Looks like I still need to spend some time to master my current strength. "

Linley rose to his feet, only to hear the distant sound of a flute. Hearing the flute, Linley's body involuntarily moved towards the flute.

In the direction of the flute, Linley saw a woman standing straight at the highest point of the graveyard, like a tall, straight pine tree. Her long, jet-black hair fluttered behind her, and as the breeze blew past her, she held a crimson Xiao in her hands. On her hands was a slender creature that looked like a snake with four legs.

Just as Linley turned his gaze towards the creature in the woman's hand, that creature gave him a look as though it had come to life, giving him a huge shock. But when Linley's gaze once more fell upon that creature, he couldn't see anything. It was as though everything that had just happened had been an illusion.

Linley let out a breath, but he could sense strange movements from beneath his feet. Lowering his head, he saw the ground beneath his feet begin to shake again and again. Immediately afterwards, a rotting hand passed through the grave at Linley's feet, grabbing Linley by the ankles.

Linley was so frightened, he jumped up, but because he was tightly clutching at his rotting ankle, he fell to the ground.

Just as Linley fell to the ground, countless palms emerged from the graveyard, grabbing onto every single part of Linley's body. Linley was pulled backwards by these hands.

(Is that the end of my journey?) I can't accept this! I can't accept it!)

Linley, using his eye, which had not been covered by the hand that had emerged from the graveyard, stared unhappily at the cloudless blue sky. Struggling to free his right hand from the restraints of these hands, he struggled to reach into the air, but was once more pulled towards the ground by those hands.

Just as Linley was about to lose consciousness due to suffocation, the hand which was pulling Linley suddenly left Linley's neck. Not only that, the hands which were pulling Linley slowly loosened their grip on Linley's body.

"Ha …" Ha … Cough cough … Ha … "Ha..."

He coughed as he took deep breaths. For the first time, he felt how blissfully lucky he was to be able to breathe, and he felt … how wonderful it was to be alive!

Around Linley, one corpse after another began to emerge from the graves, each of them in a different shape. Some of them had already transformed into a pile of bones, while others were covered with rotting flesh. The similarity was that they were all staring at the black haired girl, regardless of whether their eyes were still there or not.

He listened attentively to the sound of the black haired girl's flute without moving an inch.

Linley forced himself to his feet. Looking around, he discovered that all of the dead had been roused by the sound of the long, black woman's flute. They all came out of their graves, listening to the long, black woman's distant flute song. Amidst the flute melodies of countless dead listeners and long black straight women, the silent and lonely grave revealed for the first time a lively atmosphere that only the living possessed.

Suppressing the fear in his heart, Linley frantically walked forward, following the route which he had memorized from one of his previous hunts, stumbling and stumbling as he ran towards the forest of magical beasts far away from the tombs.

Fortunately, all the dead were focused on listening to the flute song of the long, black haired woman. They ignored the fleeing Linley, allowing Linley to safely leave this terrifying grave.

"The Crimson Jade Dragon appeared. The affairs of the world have changed."

Just as Linley was about to leave the grave, a pleasant, moving voice entered Linley's ears.

Linley couldn't help but turn his head to look, and he discovered that the long, black haired woman had already stopped her flute chants, and had smiled and nodded towards him. A gust of wind blew past, captivating Linley's eyes. By the time Linley was able to see clearly again, the corpse on the grave had already disappeared without a trace. In the air above, a gigantic, crimson-colored creature, identical to the creature carved on the hand of the long, black woman, had disappeared into the endless void.

"Crimson Jade Dragon Xiao …" Long Xiao … Is that a 'dragon'? " Linley stared at the area where the giant red creature had vanished, standing there and mumbling to himself.

Outside Coleman City, in the outskirts of the Magic Beast Forest.

"Xue'er, Xue'er, what kind of prey do you want this time? Fire Tiger, Whirlwind Wolf, or the Heaven-Devouring Vermillion Bird? "As long as it is the prey that Xue Er wants, I can help you get it." Andrew Allen's gallant daughter of the Earl of Salsa, Saudi snow, was hovering around.

"I can get whatever prey I want for myself. I don't need your help!"

Saudi snow looked at Andrew Allen helplessly, and waved his hand in annoyance, "Can you not walk around me all day, is it annoying?"

"Not at all, not at all. With Xue'er by my side, how could I possibly be annoyed? I'm glad it's not too late! " Andrew Allen, standing next to Saudi snow, said cheerfully, "Are you hungry, Snow? Thirsty? Shall I get you something to eat? "

"I'm not hungry, and I'm not thirsty either. Don't bother me anymore, even if you don't bother me!" "Wait, I've changed my mind. Help me get my favorite black tea and refreshments. You know my taste."

"Alright, I'll get someone to bring your favorite black tea and refreshments over." Andrew Allen snapped his fingers and ordered a small guard beside him, "Vincennes, go get Miss Schadt's favorite black tea and refreshments."

The guard named Vincennes nodded in agreement. Just as he was about to head for the black tea and refreshments Saudi snow liked the most, he was stopped by it.

"I …" Yes … "Say, let 'you' get me some black tea and refreshments." "Do you understand?" he said loudly, pointing to Andrew Allen.

"You want me to get you black tea and tea?" Andrew Allen looked at Saudi snow in disbelief.

"En!" "Mmm." Saudi snow made a "mmm" sound from his nose, indicating his affirmation.

"That's great! It's the first time in so many years that you've asked me to prepare black tea and refreshments for you. With an excited blush on his face, Andrew Allen eagerly walked towards the tent filled with food, waving at Saudi snow as he walked, "Saudi snow, just wait for me, I'll definitely prepare for you the black tea and refreshments that you will never forget for the rest of your life!"

"I've finally sent this guy away!" As she watched Andrew Allen walk away from her, she let out a long breath and walked in the opposite direction of Andrew Allen.

As they walked, Saudi snow turned his head in dissatisfaction and looked at Vincennes who was following behind him. "Why are you following me?" he asked.

"I didn't follow you, Miss Saudi." "It's just that I'm walking in the same direction as Miss Schadt."

"You …" Saudi snow looked at Vincennes, unable to speak.

After which, Saudi snow angrily turned around and ignored Vincennes as he continued to walk forward.

She found a ragged teenager leaning against the tree not far from him, as if he had lost consciousness.
