C7 Don't Bully the Young

Wang Gebi had a keen interest in digital products and was a regular at this electronics store, which made him well-acquainted with the manager, Xin Sicong.

Upon seeing Wang Gebi's disheveled state and Chiang Hao in his faded jeans, Xin Sicong resolved to give the young man before him a stern lesson to alleviate Wang's frustration.

"Did you really beat up Young Master Wang like this?" Xin Sicong huffed, clearly displeased.

"I came here to shop, and this guy wouldn't stop yapping in my ear, disrupting my experience. Naturally, I had to show him the door," Chiang Hao replied with a nonchalant shrug.

"You're full of it. You don't have the money to shop here; you're just here to mooch off the Wi-Fi," Zhang Xiaomei retorted, skeptical of Chiang Hao's ability to afford anything in the store.

"And how exactly would you know whether I have money to shop here or not?" Chiang Hao quipped, his tone casual as he smirked at Zhang Xiaomei's disdainful attitude.

It was almost comical to him. If his rivalry with Wang Gebi stemmed from their clash over the student council's Propaganda Minister position, his history with Zhang Xiaomei was entirely grudge-free.

Zhang Xiaomei's current mockery of Chiang Hao was simply because he no longer danced to her tune as he once did.

Chiang Hao had pursued her for two years without success, yet Wang Gebi had won her over in just two days.

Feeling aggrieved, Chiang Hao had confronted her, only to be told, "Because he gave me a limited edition LV bag."

That was the moment Chiang Hao's infatuation ended, and he stopped being at her beck and call.

"I know you all too well. The fanciest dinner you ever treated me to while you were chasing me was spicy hotpot on the street in front of the school. Someone who considers hotpot a luxury could hardly afford to shop here," Zhang Xiaomei said bluntly, disregarding Chiang Hao's pride as she brought up his past attempts to woo her.

"You're not wrong, but haven't you heard the saying, 'Thirty years on the east bank of the river, thirty years on the west, don't scorn the young for being poor'? Sure, I was broke before, but times have changed. I can certainly afford the live broadcast equipment now," Chiang Hao stated confidently.

"With your fortune-telling skills under the overpass, you couldn't afford this equipment in thirty, let alone three hundred years," Zhang Xiaomei sneered with undisguised contempt.

She was all too familiar with Chiang Hao's financial background and was skeptical that he could afford the high-end digital equipment priced in the tens of thousands.

"Don't scorn the young for being poor? Sir, this isn't fiction—it's the real world. Stop deluding yourself into thinking you're some novel's protagonist," Xin Sicong said, looking down at Chiang Hao, who was dressed in a cheap outfit and preaching grand principles, and couldn't help but feel disdain.

To Xin Sicong, money was everything.

In a store dispute, it didn't matter who was right or wrong; siding with the wealthy was always the smart choice.

"So you're implying I can't afford the equipment here?" Chiang Hao bristled at the suggestion.

He had intended to patronize the store and contribute to its profits by purchasing their digital equipment. However, he hadn't anticipated the manager's condescending attitude, prompting him to reconsider his plans to buy the broadcasting gear there.

After all, there were several other digital equipment stores in the vicinity; he wasn't about to put all his eggs in one basket.

"Apologize to Young Master Wang this instant and make yourself scarce. Don't disrupt our store's business, or I'll ensure you regret it," Xin Sicong said, implicitly confirming Chiang Hao's concerns, and issued the ultimatum.

"Get on your knees and apologize now. Crawl under my legs, and I might just forgive you," Wang Gebi demanded, emboldened by Xin Sicong's backing.

"And you had the audacity to hit my Brother Bie? He's going to pay dearly today," Zhang Xiaomei chimed in supportively.

She then tenderly touched Wang Gebi's face and asked with feigned concern, "Brother Bie, are you in pain?"

"Good dogs don't stand in the way. Clear a path for me, now."

Unfazed, Chiang Hao knew that although his chance to use the Telepathic Finger today was spent, he still had the Flying Dagger skill up his sleeve. These bodyguards didn't intimidate him in the slightest.

"Throw this ignorant fool out," Xin Sicong commanded, opting for a physical approach upon witnessing Chiang Hao's defiance.

At the manager's command, two security guards stepped forward, ready to escort the slight Chiang Hao out of the premises.

However, Chiang Hao deftly snatched a USB drive from nearby and, using it as a makeshift knife, hurled it at the arms of the guards.

With a "snap" and another "snap," the guards' uniforms were slashed, leaving cuts from which blood seeped out.

The system announced, "Ding! Little Li's Flying Disc rips clothing, +100 Exclamation Points."

The guards, staring in disbelief at the shallow cuts on their arms, were as astonished as the bystanders, who murmured their amazement.

"This kid's got some moves."

"Using a USB drive to slice through security uniforms? That's some serious strength."

"It's a good thing he aimed for their clothes. A direct hit to their faces could have been disfiguring."

Stunned by Chiang Hao's display with the USB drives, the crowd no longer dared to hinder him, parting to let him pass.

Chiang Hao exited the store and made his way to a digital equipment shop across the street.

Though slightly smaller than the Magnificent Digital Equipment Store, the shop across the way promised no less in quality and price.

"I'll take this live broadcasting kit," Chiang Hao declared, pointing to the setup that had caught Tang Qingjing's eye, addressing a salesperson whose delicate features were matched by a refined appearance.

Had he known such a beauty worked at this digital shop, he would never have bothered with that jinx, Wang Gebi.

"Sir, you've got an eye for excellence. This kit is our top-selling live broadcast setup, offering superb value at only 48,888 yuan."

The saleswoman's smile widened at Chiang Hao's decisiveness, her face lighting up as he made his purchase.

This equipment is valued at 50,000 yuan, and her commission could be a few thousand yuan.

"Get it over to A University as quickly as possible," Chiang Hao instructed.

He was eager to surprise Tang Qingjing without delay.

"Of course, we'll deliver it right away," the saleswoman promptly replied with a smile.

"Don't sell to him; he's always been dirt poor, which means the money's likely dirty," Wang Gebi called out to the saleswoman from a distance, just as Chiang Hao was about to make the payment.

Xin Sicong, unwilling to see such a lucrative deal slip through his fingers to a rival, chimed in, "Exactly. He's caused trouble in our store before, which is why we refuse to do business with him. He's a thug, and his money is undoubtedly ill-gotten."
